My
mother-in-law
and
father-in-law
lived
at
Brookdale
Northbrook
for
three
years
until
their
physical
circumstances
changed,
and
they
had
to
move.
During
their
live
at
Brookdale,
they
benefited
from
its
good
food,
a
broad
diversity
of
activities,
a
location
that
was
convenient
for
family
and
friends
to
visit,
and
a
well-maintained
and
beautifully
landscaped
building.
Most
notable
--
and
most
important
at
any
such
facility
--
was
the
skilled
and
loving
staff.
The
staff
at
all
levels
knew
their
names,
regularly
asked
about
how
they
were
doing,
offered
to
see
if
there
was
any
way
they
could
help
them,
and
much
more.
When
my
wife
and
I
recently
cleaned
out
their
apartment,
we
had
to
say
a
final
goodbye
to
about
eight
of
the
staff,
ranging
from
the
Executive
Director
to
the
caregivers
to
those
who
helped
maintain
the
facility.
They
remembered
my
in-laws
well,
and
they
were
obviously
moved
by
having
known
them.
Their
were
tears
all
around
--
on
our
part
and
theirs
--
and
it
was
clear
that
they
saw
their
work
as
more
of
a
job.
For
them,
it
was
a
calling.
I'd
recommend
Brookdale
Northbrook
to
anyone
who
requires
care
for
their
elderly
parents
or
other
relatives:
they
provided
excellent
care
at
what
can
be
a
critical
time
for
any
family,
and
I
know
that
our
family
is
so
grateful.
