This is a low key brunch/lunch place that not everyone knows but actually has great service and food! They have a good selection of different items ranging from different kinds of eggs benedicts to protein bowls to steak and eggs. The Buddha bowl was especially a stand out dish because it’s very healthy and so flavorful, the falafel in it is the best falafel in Evanston.

I'm so happy I found a spot for breakfast that is Vegan Friendly. I got the Vegan Chicken and Waffles, and I was very happy with that choice. I can't wait to come back and try other vegan options on the menu.

The food was okay. It seemed like I could probably execute the dish better if I bought all of the ingredients and made it myself. I had the vegan chicken sandwich, which was basically a Lightlife chicken alternative, w/ lettuce tomato, avocado, and sauce on a store bought bread. Same goes for the vegan BLT that my wife had. The seasoned fries were very good. The seasoning was slightly unconventional, which I liked. My omnivore father-in-law said his chicken bowl was decent. The service can be improved upon as well. My wife and in law got their food pretty quickly, but after they were halfway through their meal, the waitress noticed that I'm without mine, and mentioned that she forgot to put my order on the ticket, so I only got my meal after both people in my party had already finished theirs. She comp us for my meal at least, so we left with a somewhat positive experience.

Absolutely one of my favorite brunch places around! They have many vegan and vegetarian options which still taste great! Try the turmeric and ginger tea! They serve a whole pot for $4!

We will not be going back. They say they serve healthy food. Yet they cook with bad oils. I got a Buddha bowl (they did not have the Brussel sprout salad) and it was awful. Carrots did not look fresh. Looks like maybe they came from frozen. They subbed in spinach for I believe what was supposed to be kale, the falafel was overdone e almost black. The waitress got mad when I asked what oils they cooked with. And on top of that it is way overpriced. $67 for 3 people and that is without the tip and just 3 breakfasts and coffee. So overpriced and very underwhelming!

I went to Mid Kitchen a few days ago for a family meal and was pleasantly surprised by their menu having a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. To start off with, they check your vaccination status which is greatly appreciated as this place is clearly popular and was the perfect amount of busy for a nice atmosphere. The tables where clean and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. They where able to make their Green Superfood Omelet with tofu and I already can't wait to go back and try more vegan items on the menu. It's the perfect spot to catch up with friends, study while drinking a tea, or simply people watch with some great food.

Extremely friendly service, great atmosphere and environment, and very delicious food. The photo is of the Standard in which you can choose how you want your eggs cooked and a choice of meat. It is a very well balanced and filling breakfast. The eggs benedict is also very tasty, one of the best eggs benedict we have ever had. The owners are sweethearts and the place is perfect for any occasion. I highly recommend it here if you’re in the area or it’s even worth the drive out! Promise! I will be back soon :))

What a cute place with kind staff members! Mid Kitchen has many vegetarian/vegan options, which makes it an easy place to meet up with friends. I had the tofu scramble. I loved the decor like the fresh flowers on tables. The food itself was delicious; portions were perfect! We left happy plates behind.

I’ve been ordering DoorDash from them about 4 weekends in a row, since I discovered them. I always get the scrambled DIY tofu, which I get with mushrooms & vegan feta and the gf vegan BLT. So yummy!

Cozy spot with great music and vibes. Both the staff and food were great. I had the Avocado Benny and my friend had the gluten-free version: both were delicious.

Brought a group of 7 here on July 4th. Called ahead but they said no reservations. We were seated immediately and all together. Excellent service and everything tasty. With several Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten-Free eaters at our table, nobody went hungry. The table was a bit over-cramped with dishes—partially because we couldn't resist ordering indulgently. Coffee and mimosas? Why not both! (I opted for a bellini.) The shakshuka is formidable, and the vegan chicken and waffles held up. A great place to gather and celebrate. Thanks Mid Kitchen!

I have been here 2 times. Taste is a 10 the service is a 5, heating your order correct is 0 for 2 . Both times I got the avocado Benedict. Myeggs was both over cooked both times. So eatting a bed of salad and avacodonwith toast is a little dry. My knife was dirty. And I told the server on both and still paid full price. But that's life. I did my extra hollandaise sauce though.

Wonderful food and service. Everything was excellent. We were so excited to see vegan chicken and waffles on the menu and they're delicious. Croffles and various eggs Benedict were equally good. We'll be back soon!

I stopped by for brunch and had a nice time, although there are a few things I think they could work on. Cons: -crab cakes were not very fresh and had a fishy taste as well as being over seasoned. -The hollandaise sauce was broken. -The table was overcrowded with items and not quite large enough for our two entrees and drinks. -Had to request a new silverware roll up as one had a dirty fork. Pros: -Staff are very friendly and prompt. -Chicken and waffles have a very crisp breading and a good portion size for the price. -Poached eggs were perfectly cooked. I’d try it again soon, I think I’d just avoid the crab cakes.

My boyfriend and I went here because it was so close to our hotel and it very quickly became our favorite restaurant in Chicago area! We absolutely loved it. It's a must on every trip now!

I love this cozy little breakfast spot in evanston! There aren't many tables, but the wait isn't too long and the food is delicious! Love the vegetarian and vegan options here -- the vegan pancakes were delicious! I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant to dine in or for takeout!

We have been ordering from here at lunch for work. Such a delightful find!! Food is fantastic, fresh, and plentiful. We have tried many of the menu options and have never been disappointed, only delighted! Regretfully we tear into food so quickly, most often we forget to take pictures. Included with this review are pictures of Avocado Bennys, Golden Bowl, and a side of bacon. If you are considering this place go ahead and order, you will not be disappointed! Update: Still fantastic. Customer service is aces!!! Adding pictures of Avocado fries and Buffalo Cauliflower, both delicious!

Mid Kitchen was an impromptu stop for us after a nice workout. I wanted to eat something not too light but not too heavy...some where in the mid.....wait! Makes sense now, Mid Kitchen...middle....basically you can fit something on the menu that's right for you! Hahahaha. I just made that connection. Anyway, we decided to sit outside and enjoy what's left of the weather. Our server seemed half awake. Good thing we didn't have much questions! I tried the vegan chicken and waffles. My first " vegan" order. It was surprisingly good! the waffle was fluffy and the chicken was crispy. Overall a good "midday" stop!
