The team at Amazing Breads and Cakes went above and beyond to pull together the most beautiful wedding cake for our Covid wedding. Their cakes, pastries, and bread are authentically Polish and absolutely delicious. Everything tastes as if it was baked by grandma! Thank you so much, and if you haven’t stopped into this bakery, DO IT! You will not regret it!!! You’ve gained a customer for life, thank you!!!

The hubby and I love coming here for breakfast and splitting a bunch of stuff. Breakfast sandwiches on their freshly made bread are so tasty. Definitely try the breakfast pizza if they have it. Full coffee bar, too.

Been here couple times in the past year. My first experience was just grabbing some breakfast, which I had the Spinach and Tomato Souffle -so good I had 2. Then brought some sour dough bread and some bread crumbs for baking home -wife demanded I get more. 2nd time in, I brought my kids and grabbed some Paczki's and of course, more bread crumbs and while I meant to grab more of the Sourdough bread(because it was on point), I unfortunately lost to others that bought it up right in front of me. I was steered into Country bread as they mentioned it had sourdough strains in it and I have to say I wasn't let down at all. The Country Bread was soooooo good too. Now i have to try the Rosemary and Parmesan version or maybe the Rye, IDK. All I can say is that everything is wonderful here from the staff, to the food and it is especially nice to see the old timey family shop doing good things in the area. Can't wait to see what I get next round. FYI: They have gluten free and options for Vegans and everything is fresh. I highly recommend!

I just left this place and I have to say that by far is one of best I have visit. A great coffee shop where you can get fresh baked goods and very delicious sandwiches, specially the salmon which at first I was a bit reserved, but got convinced and I have to say, WOW! Friendly staff. Amazing all around. Definitely will come back.

Today I was at Amazing Breads and Cakes, and their service was really great. I was accompany by my girl friend. They serve organic foods and the taste are world class.OMG we love the breads! My experience overall was perfect and thanks to the entire staff for looking out for us, they made sure we had the best treatment. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant and always remember to ask for Ursula 🍷

One of my favorite places in Des Plaines! Wonderful, not-too-sweet treats and great savory baked goods as well. And wonderful people running this fantastic (and Amazing) bakery. My husband and I try to go every Saturday! We even got our wedding cake there!

Great place to meet for a cup fresh brewed coffee and munch on one of their delicious bakery goods. Very comfortable seating in a relaxed cafe atmosphere. Also has 2 comfy outside tables with umbrellas. Good place to meet a friend or find a chair and read a book! Great staff!

The pastries were fantastic. Had the Raspberry bar and ordered a quiche and scone to go for my daughter and it was a hit. In the hour I spent drawing there I saw a lot of locals come in and out and rave about the sammies and the baked goods. The staff really seemed to know their patrons which was nice to see. The latte was a bit too sweet for me, but def. Come back for the baked goods.

Adorable family-owned bakery with delicious food! We got the turkey panini, sweet cheese bun, apple tart, toast with almonds and raspberry jam, and a chocolate croissant. All of them were incredible. We’re heading back shortly to get a sourdough. The pesto on the turkey panini was in the top three best I’ve ever had. Wow. Felt like I stepped in Paris.

This is an amazing small Polish bakery. Lots of great pastries. They also spread fluent English. Highly recommend coming here to get fresh cut bread or sweets!!

Walked in for the fist time today, greatest decision I’ve made in some time.The place is lovely, clean, cute atmosphere. Service was great quick, and the food was delicious. I got something sweet and something savory and they both knocked it out the park. Only thing I’m upset about is the fact I haven’t gone in sooner.

This is a wonderful little cafe with a Europian vibe. We had a vanilla chai tea latte, peppermint mocha, and an egg souflette. Everything was amazing!

Can’t say enough about this place! They have SO many pastry options, both savory and sweet. I got a blueberry tart and earl gray tea. Great staff with wholesome values. Modern and clean shop. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place when I was actually on my way to a different coffee shop! I’ll definitely be a repeat customer.

Could not be more impressed with this bakery!! I ordered a gluten-free cake for my wife's birthday, and they were extremely kind and walked me through the whole process over the phone. The cake was ready at the stated time, and they wrote a birthday message on the top of the cake. The pricing was also reasonable. Best of all, this is THE BEST gluten-free cake I can say I've ever had - these people really really know what they are doing. I cannot recommend enough! I also love supporting small local businesses. I would go back here in a heartbeat!!!

All of the staff is very kind and helpful. Everything I’ve gotten from the bakery has been excellent and one of my favorite iced coffees.

I Highly recommend. I stopped by and had a vanilla latte, pastry and slice of cake. Omg the pastry was AMAZING!!!The latte was perfect. Haven't tasted the cake but Im sure its amazing. Service was great and cute decor. Cant wait to stop by and try more delish treats. Ursula is thee best and latte is always delicious. She is awesome and remember how I like my latte after third visit.

Everything I’ve tried over the years has been absolutely scrumptious and indulgent without being annoyingly over sweet. These bakers are artisans. I now bring their bread (with a bottle of wine) as a host gift for dinners because I got everyone addicted to their wonderful bread. Their savory items and sandwiches are fantastic as well. They make a great latte. I love this charming place. Modern yet traditional. I have high standards and this cafe/bakery is QUALITY.

The best organic sourdough you can have. I always go in and grab at least 2 loaves. Their breakfast pastries and pizza are really yummy too. A great place to have in downtown Des plaines. I hope they never leave!

The bread was amazing! I thought I’d try this place because I’m always looking for great bread. I order a whole load of the bread that can be sold in a half loaf. I can’t remember what it was called. It reminded me of fresh bread from European bakeries. So good!!!! The apple tart was delicious as well. It was a bit on the pricier side though. I’ll would recommend and will go back again.
