Uhuru Peak

Tourist attraction

πŸ‘πŸ‘ One of the best experiences of my life, but also one of the toughest. Don't believe people that say it's easy, but it's worth it all to watch the sun rise on the peak with the shadow of the mountain imposing on Mt Meru in the background. The roof of Africa doesn't give up its beauty easily! People often mention peak, experience, amazing, mountain,

Extreme cold temperatures when you start walking at midnight. Approximately-10 to -20 degree when I summited. in the route to Kilimanjaro by trek. Beautiful landscapes and jungle. 8/9 hours hiking approximately to reach the summit but I took much more. Quite draining for me. But all so worth it at the end. Climbing all the way up to Africas highest mountain is satisfying and overwhelming. Kilimanjaro is beautiful and so are it’s people.

Kilimanjaro "King of Africa" (8days) One of the best experiences of my life, but also one of the toughest. Don't believe people that say it's easy, It is difficult and difficult for because of the weather and oxygen. No matter how difficult it is, once you reach your destination you will feel like you have succeeded. You will feel proud of yourself on the mountains πŸ”οΈ You must try it once in your life.

After a 6-day hike, we’ve finally reached the top of Uhuru peak! πŸ”οΈπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ώ This is the highest point in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world πŸ™Œ The sunrise, cloud sea, snow, and glaciers were magnificent and unforgettable.

Took the Machame Route up,great route for acclimatization. Be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions at 17k+.Definitely worth the views ,great experience. Make sure you go with a highly rated/helpful guide !!The best guide to go with is Wolfgang Ulrick !!!!!you will not regret it ,they know this mountain inside out !!

Our trip with Galz Gone Wild and Earths Edge was the best and most professional, we had such an amazing time and felt so grateful for the experience and team, having a doctor on our trip as standard for earths edge was especially comforting. The local guides and porters were amazing 😍

Did the 5am summit with Thompson Safari. Took ~8 hours to get up (started at camp below ranger station) & 2 hours to return (slid down a good portion)

Once in a lifetime experience. The last summit is a real challenge for the average person and to make to the top having the views is just the best reward

Be very mindful of the AMS. It is not an easy mountain to climb if you are not acclimatised. I did it but with lots of support from guides and crews.

As the highest point in Africa, I really feel privileged to have reached this point. The journey from the base camp was not very easy, and at some point, I felt like giving up, but I pushed myself until the end. Takes about 7-8 hours on average to get here from Barafu Camp, and on your way, you pass the very magnificent glaciers. If you have some energy left, it's always recommended to go down to the glaciers as it adds to the summit experience.

The journey to get to this peak is one of the toughest and thrilling one can ever be on. You can enjoy a beautiful sunrise from this peak but what carried the day for me was the glaciers. On your left from where there is an erected board of the peak is a beautiful glacier and one can hike down and take some amazing photos. The place is obviously quite cold and one needs to be careful not to stay up there too long especially if you’re not one of the locals.

easy clim. except on final day which is really testing due to low oxygen, steep incline, low temperature and winds. But good experience overall

Such an accomplishment to have made it all way to the top through Maragu RouteπŸ—». Climbed Kilimanjaro around November and that wasn’t bad cold…had a different experience with mt Kenya πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ,also an amazing climb to do

It's probably one of the biggest adventures ever taken on board to date, with some of the most amazing memories made aswell!! The view on route and at the summit are seriously breathtaking and can say I've witnessed some truly majestic views even if it was -18Β°c at the peak. It's an experience I will never forget!!!
