This place is historic! The ambience is nice, prices are very good, and the food is delicious. However, the coffee tasted strong. Friendly staff and good service. For food, we ordered chicken casadella and spinach with mushroom crepe. For the drinks, we ordered iced coffee late, hot latte, iced chocolate, and chocolate banana smoothie. For dessert, we had blueberry cheesecake, which was delicious.

Union Cafe is a landmark cafe that has been around since 1939. It has a rich history and seems to be run by the oldest smallholder coffee farmers' Union in Tanzania. We dropped by to have a coffee on Christmas Day 2022 and it was (thankfully) open. We had the filter coffee and a chocolate mousse cake. The coffee was quite good, albeit a little stronger than I'd have thought. The French press was made of steel - so we couldn't see how well it filtered (and as expected, we had quite a lot of coffee powder remains in our coffee). The cake was quite nice and soft (although a little too sweet for me). It's a nice place overall.

Nice staff, quick service, comfortable. One of the top 3 places for coffee in Moshi, must try the espresso and iced coffee. All the cakes are incredible too, I recommend the chocolate brownie and berry cheesecake - both highlights of the menu. Overall portions are generous in size and prices are reasonable for the quality. Will be visiting again soon.

LOVE to come here and drink coffee, eat pizza, and just watch what's happening in Moshi. The staff are super kind and the food has always been great. The coffee is exceptional, and you can buy it in bulk!

Had to shave off one star not because the place deserves it but the card machine only accepts USD. Too harsh? Maybe, but I feel excluded as a "local" in such places when they do such things. Otherwise, the service, coffee, and food was very good.

Sorry, for somewhere that fames itself as THE coffee house in Moshi, it’s really not that great. My cappuccino wasn’t even in a proper cappuccino cup, and the coffee was quite weak/tasted a bit watery. I definitely expected something much better. It’s a nice breezy outdoor area though, you can sit and watch the world go by. I can’t comment on the food because I didn’t eat here. The service wasn’t great though..

This place is so chill and easy going. The huge covered terrace wraps around the cafe situated on a corner in the Center of Moshi Town. Here you can have a bite to eat, some cake or sweets and enjoy that delicious coffee sourced locally. I highly recommend this Cafe.

Super friendly place. Delicious iced coffee. Very nice staff. Convenient location. I really needed ice cold caffeine boost and this was the place to go and I will probably return here during my stay in Moshi. I had a iced Kilimanjaro coffee with milk and they provided some simple syrup to sweeten it with and it was delicious.

Way overpriced and bland uninspired food. Had quesadilla which was tasteless, not grilled, and just an expensive cheese sandwich. Juice was either diluted with OJ or water: also bland. The place wants to be up-scale for tourists but is worse than local places, especially for the price. Its not bad just not good either.

The cafe is beautiful but the coffee is bad. The wifi is slow and the service is also rude.

Of course, good coffee. When looking for nice cake accompanying this coffee, I can highly recommend.

I only went for a cappuccino almost every day during my 6 day stay in Moshi. It was always a take-away order. So I don't have more to say about food or the ambiance at the cafe. I have this to say that their coffee is one of the best in Tanzania. They apparently have a very old tradition of brewing coffee to the satisfaction of the connaisseurs.

Great Atmosphere and Coffee was deliciously fresh, and without an intensely bitter bite to it.

Nicely located in Moshi town centre and can be a good place for evening tea/coffee. It is a quite place and safe too.

Comfortable space, the coffee is very good, portions are generous in size & of reasonable prices. Very helpful & friendly staff. Ideal for: - Quick coffee after a day’s work in town - Simple meal with a group of friends - Casual meetings - Personal working space on your laptop (have a router or something because the WiFi isn’t really good)
