Delicious laksa! One of the best I have had in a while. The Soup has a rich complex flavour with the red chilli oil making it not too spicy but with a nice kick. I had the beef laksa ($13) with 3 large chunks of slow cooked beef which you could easily tear apart with your chop sticks. Nice generous portion of Asian greens and Tofu gave plenty of variety. Top marks from me. Located on the ground floor of the Grace Hotel. Enter via King Street.

I've always really liked this place. Photos below pertain to the reopening in May 2021. Nasi lemak is still really nice (it's more authentic than before - I am an Aussie born in Malaysia and I love this place). There are many ways you can have this dish which make it so pleasant. The wat tan hor (egg gravy noodles) is better than before as well. Historically what worked for me was: nasi lemak, Hainan chicken rice and most of the wok noodle dishes - most of my colleagues like the laksa here, but I find laksa in Australia is not for me.

Interesting Malaysian restaurant. Laksa is pretty average, the soup base is a little bit thin/watery with less flavour than I would expect (but not too bad). The chicken they use is breast unfortunately so it is not as tender as it could be. The prawns are cooked separately and added in to the soup, however this means the laksa is made and brought out super fast. Soup base is quite nice, with a hint more sweetness (pineapple?) than I am used to. The addition of capsicum and cucmber is a bit strange, and I feel detracts a bit from the dish. Seating area is a little cramped. Also tried the Hainan chicken rice which was quite nice. Quite a large serving, got the 'leg' rather than 'breast', bits of the thigh seemed to be missing, but you get the mini drumstick as well. Chicken soup was nice and flavourful, but the chicken itself was not as tender as some hainan chickens I've had before. Hard to get a seat though

Absolutely love this authentic Malaysian spot tucked away under the iconic Grace Hotel in Sydney’s CBD. Flavourful laksa options along with a solid range of Malaysian cuisine which is just as good every single time I go back.

Not bad good size.. for $12 this chicken laksa is a cheap eat in the CBD. The soup could be more flavoursome/ spicier and the texture of the noodles could be improved. However, I liked the assortment of veggies!

This was the chicken laksa, pretty ordinary with only beehoon in it (where is the Hokkian noodle?) Flavour was ok only. Given no queue for a Wednesday lunch, a good place to just fill the empty stomach

Amazing curry and roti, above average Laksa. I also really like the fried hainese chicken.

Quite smelly area because of the pub next to it. All tables were sticky. Food here is really cheap and the portion is generous.

Also called "little Malaysia" this street style place sits in the foyer of the Grace hotel. A wonderful place for lunch, quality, tasty. Relatively well priced (mid teens $).

My go to place for city lunch. Generous portions. I found that they have a good variety of malaysian Goodies. Of note that i have tasted arr the hookien mee , char key teow, chicken rice and har mee. All pretty good.

Now called Ma Ma Laksa - friendly Malay service - 'Enjoy Lah !' - and half the customers look Asian so bodes well - but Westernised flavours - mild chili but nothing else - Laksa no flavour - my partner said of my Lemongrass Chicken 'no taste of lemongrass' - so yeah a pleasant place to sit inside the Grace Hotel for lunch - but the taste-o-meter scores 3 out of 10.
