Well, first, we have ordered 4 bacon egg rolls, if that doesn’t speak for itself of how awesome it is, I don’t know what else. Bacon wasn’t too salty, it was crispy but not burned; egg was literally sunny up, of course you can request well-done if needed; hash brown was a highlight, I started to think French fries might work as well; then source was also well balanced, all the elements mix together makes it the best bacon egg roll i have had so far. Winter salad was also beyond our expectations, highly recommended! Coffee was also too good for suburbs (lack of competition sometimes doesn’t motivate shop owners seek for high quality coffee, in my opinion). I’ll give 6stars if I can :)

Really great local place to visit. Really friendly staff - owner is always walking around engaging with customers aswell. Food is superb and well priced. Menu updates seasonally to match produce, so always guaranteed great quality food. Highly recommend the upgraded smashed avo with peas, nuts etc. and the bacon and egg roll.

One of my favorite brunch spots in town. Amazing food and super friendly staff. Love their chicken katsu the most 🙌 but today we ordered bacon egg roll, ham&cheese, and wagu beef sandwiches. Decent portion. The food here never let you down 💯

Hands Down The Best Banana Bread and Coffee in Sydney. The soft banana bread served with the burnt butter immediately melts in the mouth. Moving from Melbourne I always missed the amazing Melb’s coffee until I visited this cafe. Beautiful cozy cafe with lovely white aesthetics. The staff is very humble and polite. Super quick service as well. And the best part is the food with stunning presentation. I am surely coming back 🤍. If you are in the area it’s a much visit.

The team at SML really know how to make coffee. After a seven week trip away, I returned home to realise that my 3 local coffee shops didn't serve coffee I liked. So now, instead of a 30 minute walk to break up my work-from-home day, I opt to make a 45 minute walk to SML, purely because the coffee is so much better. The baristas always remember my name, the coffee is consistently good, and if you ever want to know why, they can explain every small step they take to make sure that every cup is the same. Oh, and the muffins are a great reward for the longer walk

Lovely cafe. Great coffee. Peaceful spot to sit. Friendly owner and staff. Interesting menu that changes from time to time. The chicken sandwich and the lamb flatbread are great. They used to do an amazing eggs venedict - hope to see it back on the menu sometime! Highly recommend.

Fabulous place with friendly service, delicious coffee, fabulous looking slices, fluffy croissants and an awesome looking menu for brekkie & lunch. Loads of covered outdoor seating in what appear to be nicely re-purposed alcoves back from the pavement. Only stopped for a (yummy) take-away mocha while getting some repairs done at Cranks down the road but I'd love to come back here for a pulled pork burger and a Karma Cola. The service with a (very genuine) smile with my chocolatey caffeine hit made my morning. Keep up the great work SML team !

Lovely cafe, perfect for a weekend breakfast. The coffee was so nice, I ordered Chai Latte without sugar and I love it. The food and service were excellent. Especially the staff were really friendly. I will 100% be coming back soon!

One of the best cafes you'll ever find in the lower north shore (or anywhere in Sydney really). We're not really that local but always end up making the drive once or twice a week to SML due to the quality of coffee, service and of course the chicken katsu sandwich (cut diagonally) which I've not yet found a comparable option for anywhere in the world. Richard + team are always friendly and represent what actual service should be, even when they are absolutely jam packed at 10am on a Sunday. The outdoor seating is truly all weather and just a nice place to hang out.

The bacon and egg roll is probably the best I’ve ever tried. The addition of the hash brown is amazing. The staff are really friendly, the food came out really quick was was really good. Recommend.

The best cafe in Willoughby! Don’t go anywhere else if you have high standards! The coffee is made strong & the bacon & egg burger which includes a hash brown is a stand out. Service is always efficient & friendly - highly recommend

Response to reply - Thank you for taking the time to provide a detailed reply. Definitely agree with how busy it gets. I have been there a few weekends and only once it was not that busy. In some cafes where it gets as busy or more, the wait times are lesser. So the expectation was on similar lines :) You definitely have a good and energetic team there. Nice Cafe. Gets busy on Saturday mornings. Long wait time to get coffee after placing order. Wish they could serve faster.

My partner and I love this place! We were regulars when we lived in Willoughby and still like to make the effort to go every now and then. The sausage bacon & egg roll was THE BEST! Bring it back please 💕 They always remember you, really great service and seasonal menu. Always delicious!

Ordered their Angus beef on the menu. It was tender and tasty but would have like more generous veggies on it. A side of chips and it would have been a great value for its price.
