It's hard to imagine a more frustrating customer experience. When you call the store it either rings out or you have a disinterested staff member attending to you. I honestly felt like I was asking for an organ transplant by asking him to put an item on hold for me to pick up. After about 10 minutes including him fumbling around looking for a pen for 2 of it, he promised to place the item on hold. On the day of pick up, I got an email saying Anaconda had cancelled my order.

I hadn't been to Mountain Designs in some time, but needed some hiking boots only to find out they're now stocked at Anaconda. I don't want to outlay $300 to $400 on boots online without trying them on, so I found my nearest store. I'm a size 12, but most boots available were sizes 7 to 9. In fact I found only 2 pairs in my size to try on, one pair which was so scuffed that I questioned its durability. At no time in the 20 minutes I spent there did anyone come out to ask how I was going, nor did I see any staff at all that I could ask whether they could find any other size 12s for me. I sadly walked out empty handed. I'll go to a real outdoor store next week.

I went to a store on Sunday 11-12 2022 to buy a beach chair, and found the last one available without a bag. I asked about the bag and she told me "no guarantee without a bag". I said: I don't care about the guarantee because my son and my wife are in the car. Five minutes later she told me we could get a chair from the pantry. I told her why did you make me wait? She said, "You're being rude. Leave the shop." I said, "Please, don't use that word on me. I'm not impolite." But after wasting time, I waited for the new chair. A quarter of an hour later, she came to me and told me that there was no other chair, and gave me the same one. Honestly I felt. A big shout out to Ibrim and Anaconda team. Everyday seems to be a frantic juggle with work, life and 4 active young kids. Holidays is nearly over… and I wanted a special moment for the family tomorrow on the public holiday to be in nature and escape the hustle bustle.. but a lot of information needed to be processed and decisions in a short period needed to be made for that to happen. Had I bitten off too much? Not so with the exceptional customer care and service by Ibrim. Anaconda, you should be very proud of your prized worker. As I was investing in a new family hobby, I threw question after question at him and he answered thoughtfully, knowledgeably and kindly both on the phone and in person. (When he didn’t know one of the answers, he found out the answer from someone who did and checked the packaging. ) He guided me through multiple purchase decisions and put my mind at rest when at other times… with less help.. I might have walked away and given up. In the end, I purchased two kayaks, two life jackets, 2 paddles and a soft roof rack. Ibrim helped deliver the Kayaks to the car on closing time and even equipped me in setting up the soft roof racks. Keep on rocking on Ibrim.. great things are install for you. Anaconda, more Ibrims and more warm hearted front of shop staff to continue to make the hard decisions easy and the process more enjoyable.

After being frustrated trying to find some walking boots in my size elsewhere (size 12 US so nothing unusual) I remembered that Anaconda was on my way home so I thought I'd drop in. The staff were very helpful and quite versed in the small size differences between brands and yes there was even a choice of styles and colours. Aside from shoes, they have a wide range of gear that suits my lifestyle too so I'll definitely be going back and spending money on some other gear soon

Asked for upper size of shoes after less than a day and they denied. One of the cheapest customer service in the world.

Big camping store, well located with access from street and underground parking. Large range but some items out of stock. Check on websites before going to see if they have what you want.

What a ridiculous place ...I get sent direct marketing online for ads from these guys purely because I have been searching canoes . They then send me an ad for canoe paddles and an option to pick up in store or home deliver home delivery makes a 20 dollar purchase 60 dollars. No.option to pick up...ring customer service. The item doesn't have pick up in store. The store doesn't have them in fact no store in Sydney has them. So delivery is the only way you can buy these. This makes their great special a terrible buy. And a great waste of my time trying to actually buy this item that I never was looking for but got shoved in my face by their computer algorithm. Leave us alone with this invasion of privacy

Took my rod & reel in for a warranty claim in November. The team member advised that it could take up to 3-4 weeks to receive a reply from Penn. it’s now mid January and I still haven’t heard anything from the Rockdale team. Call the store 3 times over the last 2 months, each time they told me someone would be in touch to let me know what’s happening. Still no reply..

Service I must say the best customer service just received from her…it was our first time visiting in this store to buy staffs for the first time going to snowy mountain and the way Stephane helped us to find the staffs set up an example of best customer service….big thank you to her👏👏👏👏

Yesterday we had the best ever customer service given to us by “Rox”!!’ Rox first of all answered my questions when I rang up. Then my 82 year old dad & I went to the Rockdale store & once again “Rox” met us & she was sensational with her knowledge of the hiking shoes & the sneakers, answering many many questions of my dad over a period of 2 hours, backwards & forwards with so many different shoes for dad to try, smiling & accommodating us the whole time! I went in-store to purchase some items and was served by a man named Sadi. His customer service was exceptional, he had excellent product knowledge and most importantly, he listened to what I needed instead of just making attempts to sell me anything. He was lovely enough to help carry the items to my car. Highly recommended.

I returned some camping mats which i bought on line. They were out of warranty but Anaconda were quite understanding about it since they were expensive. The staff were really helpful in getting replacementss - especially Zoe who helped make sure I got replacements in time for a camping trip.

Purchased a $400 bike and it’s been more than two months and nothing we have called, went to the store and everything and there’s nothing absolutely nothing they keep saying we have to wait to for the bike to arrive until we can ask for a refund what if it never comes???

Been twice, once to look then 2nd to buy a 70ah campanion battery bank.... Customer service is so bad, guy at the counter with ear rings who served me is extremely rude, attitude and always on the phone when I walk in and out, he doesn't work, and the other workers seem miserable and very unhelpful when I asked about battery sizes. I came to see the reviews and I wasn't going to comment until I saw other reviews about terrible customer service, they ain't lieing, customer service at Rockdale Anaconda is disgusting. I won't be going back here again, I'd rather drive an hour to campbelltown and try my luck there with customer service.
