I visited Jane Prosser twice and both times I was incredibly disappointed. I felt she did not completely understand what I was going through and brushed off my symptoms. I was sent there by my GP as she is known to be one of the best migraine doctors but it seems anything that slightly differs from the norm, she doesn't know what to do. She was unsure about my diagnosis as I presented with other symptoms and only after being persistent - she then somewhat believed what I was experiencing MAY be causing my migraines. I had also spoken up about numbness in the back and severe lower back pain which she disregarded as irrelevant. I'm not sure how a neurologist could disregard back pain as it may be a symptom of the migraines I was experiencing. Despite asking for a lumbar spine MRI, she declined and said it was not necessary. My GP later wrote me a referral to which now I just decided to get my scans done as I had to pay $250+ out of pocket. It was noted I had a cyst on my S2 and was the reason why I was experiencing so much pain. I don't understand where her duty of care is. I definitely don't recommend Jane Prosser as I found she brushed off my symptoms and didn't seem to actually listen to my complaints.

I have never experienced such appalling service from a medical practice. The staff are arrogant & rude. When I asked to speak to the Practice Manager she was dismissive and extremely unhelpful. I would urge any one considering consulting a neurologist at this practice to look elsewhere. The doctors must be aware of the negative culture that exists in their administration team but have failed to address the situation. Find another neurology practice, save yourself the angst.

I wouldn't recommend Sydney Neurology (or comment but its worth warning others) the professionalism & quality of treatment is notably bad compared to all other practices Ive visited both locally & abroad on every front, Im quite experienced. Been here 3 times. Prof Pollard would be turning in his grave. Theyll lose your test results, not chase them up & insist they never happened, (& refuse to look at the receipts in your hand) they'll make admin & resulting medical treatment mistakes serious enough to lead to prescribing convulsant drugs to epileptics. Yes really. On trying to clear up what are clearly obvious errors on their part, youll then have to deal with fairly arrogant & aloof doctors such as Stephen Reddell who offers very little in good advice & listens even less. Prof Pollard would be turning in his grave. To be fair I did eventually get my seizure medication script, but dont bother, if you can Id recommend Randwick hosp/NSW uni instead, infinitely superior.

The most disorganised medical practice I have ever seen. Receptionist staff are so rude and lack empathy . Other patients walked in after me and were all seen. Interesting to hear the doctor tell one of his parents that he was β€˜super early for their appointment ’ but he was letting them in. Waited over 1 hour for my appointment, only to be placed in a gown and in a cold room and then be told that the dr was going to be another 20-30 minutes late to do my scan. Total wait time 1 hour and 30 mins beyond appointment time. Will not recommend this neurology unit to anyone as you can go somewhere else. There was not even an apology from the dr himself or his arrogant staff. Avoid this place.

I am shocked and surprised with the attitude of the PRACTISE MANAGER (RENEE) from Dr Stephen Reddel practise. When I called the clinic to book an appointment, Renee presented herself in a very rude and appalling manners. I am dismayed with her communication skills! She was impertinent and obviously has lack of respect towards the doctors she works for. Renee, if this is how your communicate with strangers, i wonder how you deal and communicate with your family members? You must review your behaviour and seek professional support. I have noticed that your title is a (Practise Manager, please Renee, keep practising, you still have a long way to go)! Anyway, we are delighted that we found alternative neurology practise.

Receptionist is impertinent to people with neurological issues, i called up to ask questions regarding services and prices, i wanted to know what treatment would best suit my case. She interrupted me to tell me i cant do anything without a referral and the initial consult is at least $450. No respect or understanding for the patient concerns. spoke over me to tell me i cant do anything without a referral. for a receptionist to be disrespecting disabled people at the front desk of a medical clinic she's certainly in the wrong place.

Was a bit concerned by some of the Google reviews, which shows why you shouldn't always trust other people's experiences. I have been to 3 appointments and also had a few tests at this place. The staff at the reception desk have always been respectful and helpful. The doctor I see gives me more time and attention than most specialists and clearly knows his stuff. At RPA hospital where I now get my infusion treatments together with a few other people with my neurology problem, I have heard similar stories. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but to be fair at the last appointment they had to get the guy before me over to the hospital with an emergency which took a while.

I cannot recommend highly enough the team at Sydney Neurology, and in particular the treatment my mother received from Dr Louise Allport. After having a very frightening and dismissive appointment at another specialist we booked our mother in. The staff at the desk bent over backwards to fit us in, and from the moment we booked we felt informed and supported. Mum was given the absolute top care and compassion and eventually got a much more informative and caring level of care that set her at ease. We need more Doctors and clinics like these. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for someone who cares about their wellbeing from start to finish

If you hoping to see Neurologists who are - *Arrogant *Pretentious *Dismissive of patients knowledge about their bodies * Have disinterest in keeping up to date regarding medical knowledge then this is the place for you πŸ˜‰ Otherwise avoid this place like the plague. Take your money elsewhere as they have no appreciation of it here. This is actually the worst Medical services that I have ever attended and the opposite of their marketing spin of being "cutting edge, innovative" etc Everything here is outdated....the knowledge, the attitudes A good G.P is actually more helpful than the pompous and insecure 🀑's here

No matter when you try to call, a human being never answers this phone and then they tell you not to leave a message or call back knowing full well no one will answer it then either. I have never heard of such an pretentious disregard for patients. Why don’t you allow patients to at least beg for a phone to be answered just to stroke your rock star size egos. Disgusting service.

Dr Reddel is very dismissive of any symptoms or results which don't fit a pattern he is familiar with. He refused to do the tests I was referred to him for in fear he would get results he wouldn't be able to explain. Very disappointed. Waste of time and money seeing him.

The care of the doctors is great, cannot however say the same for the receptionists, very rude, disinterested and act as though you are a burden upon them for simply exisiting. Smiles and manners are free.

The doctors are great, however the reception staff are the worst I have dealt with. Terrible manners and customer service for a professional health care service.
