Good food in a nice atmosphere tucked away in a Darlinghurst side street. Visited on a Sunday during peak brunch time. There was a bit of a crowd out the front waiting for takeaway orders and for tables. When I visited, a very efficient staff member took my name and added me to the waiting list, which wasn't too long. He took our coffee order as well so we got to have that while waiting. Food and drink menus are a double sided, laminated sheet and there is a good variety of food to choose from. Our service was quick and efficient, though I did notice that the table next to us had to flag a waitperson down to have their order taken and then had to flag someone down again as a side dish was missing. Food was good quality and decent portion. I ordered the "Feeling Rusty" dish. Not sure that I liked the beans being served in a single use disposable cup however. Overall, a good brunch spot off the main drag of Darlinghurst. Worth a visit.

When I walked in I was greeted by such nice staff, people who actually look you in the eyes and say hi how are you. The food was quick and cooked just how I love it. If you want softer eggs ask them. Coffee does not taste burnt meaning they clean the coffee machine properly. The place was full and for a reason . I'm trying the lamb burgers next time. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere that let's you forget about the day as soon as you walk in. It's a Rabbit hole you need to enter.

Great vibe, nice and bright, friendly staff, good coffee, snappy service. Lots of nice stuff on the menu and really reasonably priced breakfast food. The brekkie burger was wonderful. Speedy WiFi to top it off.

Like the Eggs Benedict the best thing on the brunch menu so far. Pancake is great to share with friends at the end

Came here recently. I believe we were looked after by the owner, he was super accommodating and very welcoming. Helped us with recommendations on our food. The food is good as it looks. Highly recommend for a brekky/ brunch.

If you want to come to a cafe full of charm and character, this is it! I love the concept and comic-inspired art driving Rusty Rabbit; the menus are colourful and quirky, the food is delicious and the coffees hot and artistic. I enjoyed the breakfast wrap (swapped out bacon for halloumi), and my company enjoyed the pancakes with a side of bacon, and the smashed avo. There was an incredible buzz in the cafe. My favourite part of the entire experience was my coffee with the latte art (pictured!) ☕️🍳🖤🥞🐇

Excellent atmosphere with lovely staff and outdoor street side seating. The cafe serves some nice options for keto diet and protein heavy meals. The champ bowl hit the spot for me with crispy chicken portions.

Unforgettable Flavours! Every dish at this spot seems to have a secret recipe that makes it special. From their 'magic' coffee to the Champ bowl featuring delicious chicken bites, and let's not forget the generous brekkie served with fulfilling slices of sourdough. Highly recommend for a breakfast experience you won't soon forget.

The staff is always very friendly, I've visited this cafe a few times already and their coffee never disappoints. We had an oat cap during lunch and couldn't get enough then we got another one to go! I've ordered the champ bowl this time, I was so satisfied after. Fresh produce, tender succulent chicken, such healthy and delicious dish!!!

Can’t believe it has taken me two years to review this place after ordering it consistently during that whole time. Their brekkie burger (which can be modified for gluten free) and their passion fruit smoothie are wonderful! Ate it after every long run during marathon training and it got me through. Can’t recommend enough. It’s an affordable, tasty breakfast gem in Sydney! And a bonus that their staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Always a nice brunch spot! The servers are super friendly & nice, & it’s really cute inside. I got the eggs Benny with a hash brown and it was lit! Had an oat mocha of course which did the trick. There’s outside seating & I think they can give you blankets as well if it’s chilly which is cute!

Set inside a beautiful heritage building, with old sandstone on display here. The menu has a fair few options in there, with a decent amount of vegetarian options too. I opted for the shakshuka. Not your traditional shakshuka though, missing peppers in the stew, while it had poached eggs and crumbled fetta on top. It still tasted nice though. Coffee was ok, though I was served a large when I ordered a double shot cappuccino, so it was more milky than I liked. Service was friendly enough though. It's still a nice cafe option amongst the many other cafes in Darlinghurst.

Nice place to have a Sunday brunch. A big variety of dishes and they have a decent size. In my case, I don’t eat a lot I would say that I had to make an effort to finish it, natural juices was good, but I’m not 100% sure if it was with fresh fruit. Staff was really friendly and there was a good atmosphere. We were lucky to get a table it looked quiet busy and popular so I would recommend to book before going just to guarantee a table. I will be going back.

Reasonable breakfast plate, with good halloumi and bacon. The scrambled eggs were too dry and rubbery. The bf liked the beef burger and fries.

We got the prawn tacos and avocado toast, and boy were they good. As a complement we got the açaí smoothie and orange lime drink, super tasty. The service was on point and professional and the atmosphere was just great!

Awesome little corner breakfast place. Parking was relatively easy. Eggs Benedict was generous, delicious and came out promptly. Front of house staff were professional, fun and friendly. 😊

Stopped in for coffee. Friendly barista and excellent coffee. The iced latte with almond milk was primo, great flavour and blended well 👍 super cute place across the road from the National Arts School

Hands down one of the consistently best Eggs Benedict out there for a hollandaise fiend like me! Delicious food, super friendly service, the wait for a table never takes very long even when it’s pumping. A Knock-out cafe in the very competitive darlo/surry/Paddo scene..!

Cute little cafe - welcoming ambience, great service and very yummy pancakes. Coffee was made with passion - crowded on a Sunday mid morning. It didn’t get my 5-star because they use plastic straws.

Good food and coffee. The corn fritters have a lot of tasty ingredients. The inside gets quite noisy when it’s busy but they have outdoor seating which is very nice in good weather. Attracts a sizeable crowd in the morning.

The Rusty Rabbit is up there as one of my favourite cafes. What immediately stands out is the unique personality of the brand. It’s playful, fun, approachable, just like all the staff. Many of the same faces have worked there for years. The food is just as tasty as it is quirky and I can never resist a cheeky hash brown.

Been coming here for years - food and service are amazing. Staff take pride in what they do and this evident from the moment you sit down. Highly recommended.
