Excellent dining experience! We spent the afternoon at the beach and hiking nearby, and we were looking for a really good meal and happened to stumble on this place. Don't judge a book by its cover! This place is a little hole in the wall down near the waterfront in Half Moon Bay. We got steaks, burgers, cheesecake, and bloody Marys. Yum! All were amazing. Prices were lower than other restaurants in more touristy areas. Good portion sizes too. The slices of homemade cheesecake were huge! Highly recommend. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and a fun bar inside.

Ketch Joanne's Chicken-Fried Steak lunch entrée plate was mostly a win here. Steak and veggies on the plate were delicious and we'll prepared. But AVOID the Rice side dish as it is a dull and lifeless side not worth the calories. Service was spotty after being seated. Had to ask for water three times. I suggest holding the tip until after the service is rendered. They don't deserve to be tipped up front. Cleanliness and adherence to CoVID era procedures was well executed. When the staff interacted they were friendly enough. Other than the service issue, the Ketch Joanne Chicken-Fried Steak meal experience was good. I know they can do better so I'll be back in the future.

Had a really nice lunch here. Sat outside, but the waiter did a good job being available and checking in. It's got a beautiful view of the dock. We ordered the fish and chips and the grilled rockfish sandwich. All pretty simple, good flavors. Bathroom is super small and kinda grungy, so try to go beforehand if you can help it.

This place recently reopened under new ownership. While the restaurant/bar and outdoor area have been attractively renovated and updated, the food was terrible and costs almost double the prices of the old menu (and the menu items are very limited). The omelets are still crepe style like the old Ketch Joanne (meaning the eggs are like a thin pancake folded around the ingredients) but the eggs were slimy in texture and tasted oily-- they were inedible. The potatoes were also burnt. My two companions each ordered different omelets and theirs were equally bad. I could justify the higher prices if the food was good, but it really was terrible.

I've been going there every chance I get for decades. It never gets old. Cod, shrimp, bread pudding... it's all good. After eating a walk along the adjacent pier is always a great way to let it settle.

Great service and even better food. I ordered the scallops with lemon butter, garlic sauce and they were cooked perfectly. Our waitress was on top of everything too. She always made sure that our table was clear of empty plates/bottles and she was very nice and fast. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Half Moon Bay.

Super fast friendly and efficient service with a collection of locals inside at the bar. I had the French toast and it was delicious. I was looking for a seaside view witch this boasted, but it looks out onto a big loathing lot just in front of the marina. It actually didn't take anything away from the experience.

The Ketch Joanne Restaurant & Harbor Bar was horrible. Bad service. Bad food. Wait staff take orders and get them wrong and never return to the table. Then they ask how it was after tracking down a waitress when you say not good. They say “too bad!” They force tips into the bill. And have poor service. This company needs to rework their whole idea of customer service. If I could give no stars I would This was horrible experience.

Great food and atmosphere at the base of the pier. Staff is amazing and very friendly. Be prepared to wait on a nice day over the weekend but it's well worth it. Just swing in the bar for a drink while you wait for your table.

Thanksgiving day, only this one is open, and it was perfect. Nice interior decor, very skillful and friendly staff called Jesus( he's awesome, knowledgeable and fast), the food is fresh and tasty, much much better than most if seaside/beach village seafood restaurants.

Nice little food spot on the marina. Service was good… a bit pricey for what you get. Tasted good though.

Was walked into by a male server & had to wait at least 5 minutes before a server came to our table. The prices don't seem very reasonable to me as previous reviews have suggested; however, the food was decent & plentiful. I got fish & chips $15.95, a cup of Boston clam chowder $4.95 & hubby got the grilled Dungeness crab sandwich $20.95 + $3 to add fries. The server was helpful when it was time for the to go box, offering a lid for the cocktail sauce & bringing an extra cup of tartar sauce. Not a bad little place to stop on our way home from the Davenport Roadhouse where we spent our anniversary.

This is our second time here, and it is truly amazing. Seafood is fresh and tastes very good. Portions are generous- my appetiser looked small, but it was enough actually for a pretty hungry person. The gentleman who helped us was unbelievable friendly and knowledgeable. Kudos to him.

This was my second time here. I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was tasteless. A little bit of salt would have been great. First time I ordered fish and chips and I liked it a lot more. The guy taking the orders was very friendly.
