Wheelchair friendly in the heart of Bayside centrum. Wheelchair assistance ready if needed. Friendly staff and a clean shop. No long queues. Enough secure parking and a lovely centrum to visit.

If I could give them 0 stars I would the deli is so pathetic if you actually get service you are made to feel like you are an inconvenience for supporting them and then if you ask about the best before dates on the ham they have the audacity to say the ham does not have a best before date just for me to take some and see on the sticker it's bestbefore today!!! Then in the fridges of the vacuum sealed ham has been expired 2 days ago and no longer had a seal and its warm and at the bottom of the packet lying in their own juice I dont wanna sound crazy for loosing my mind over ham but when you have kids in school I'd like the ham to last atleast 2 days in my fridge and dont even try and order anything else because they do not know the names of the buns or the difference between a roll and a bun

Terrible attitude of some of the tellers. Some don't even look up to greet a person and are too busy chatting to colleagues. The bread and cold meat section is also not of the best. Staff seem to think that customers have all just to buy bread rolls etc.I have phoned numerous times to speak to the manager but either the phone just rings or a message left is NEVER is never returned. Not a good reflection at all, unfortunately the service has been bad for a long time.

Unfriendly Staff.. Expensive.. especially Fresh Produce, Fresh Meat and Fast Food

I guess there is no point in complaining that staff at the tills everywhere are talking constantly and loudly while at work in mostly Xhosa? But otherwise this Checkers is actually a better shopping experience than the Heiderand mall branch

Excellent alternative if you want to take a 🚶‍♀️ from Punt Caravan Park. It had all the basics you need and they deliver too.

Better place to shop that Checkers Heiderand, friendly cashiers but can improve on service at the deli and fruit and veg

Meat are always rotten and they don't have stock of all the things you need

I was pleasantly surprised at the supply of contents in the shop and was able to find most of what I was looking for. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful. The parking is a bit far when it rains but it didn't really deter me.

This Checkers store has come a very far way. It used to be a shop I avoided and I know frequent it weekly. It is clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. It has most of the common grocery items as well as a bit extra.

Smaller than your average Checkers, but fully stocked with everything! Friendly staff and a very clean and neat shop. I shop there a lot. 😁👌🏼

Very good equipt and clean super market. Floors were clean. Food court also looks neat. I was helped with bus ticket and explained very well by staff at that department. Overall it was a very good represented supermarket.

One must be very careful. They advertise a certain price but at the till it's a different price. This has happened to me a few times.

Nevermind Checkers and they're always lovely there ,don't get me wrong. Walking to Checkers I discovered a clothing store,I have no idea what it's called tho, run by foreigners,and just awesome. Checkers Bayside is my new favourite store too. There's just a larger selection of everything and staff very helpful and friendly.

When using the app, they have a tendancy to not provide fresh produce. There are guidelines in place. They need to follow it to make sure fresh product gets delivered

Small to medium size store, cramped, deur mekaar and not really very clean. In my opinion, Shoprite/Checkers can do much better.

Not a quick go in and out shopping day, not as save as it was a couple of years ago. But they do have great specials and money saving deals.

A smallish, convenient Checkers near the town centre of Mossel Bay. Great to grab things for a quick lunch break.

DREADFULLY AWFUL!!!!!! They have some new staff members which are friendly and efficient. ALL the other staff members are either extremely rude or to busy chatting to actually do their job.They never seem to stock the shelves. I have seen the same piece of moldy cheese for a week. Why do you ask ,if complaining this much would i shop here? Unfortunately it is conveniently located,but what a terrible experience to even go in this shop.

Managers don't seem to be committed to running the store. Items frequently "very difficult to obtain" here are overflowing the shelves at the Heiderand Checkers. The staff are super friendly which makes shopping here nice.

Klomp entitled Mossel Bay naaiers complaining abut this shop for no reason, i found it great!

No price tags wuth the items. When there is a special the management will argue with you stating that that item is not on spesial. Managment sucks....

The amazing thing about this Checkers is that Bayside Pizzeria (the best pizza place around) is in the same centre.

Clean store, fresh fruit, fresh food, fresh meat. The cashiers are super friendly and very helpful. Always smiling even if it is end of shift.

Checkers is a shop where you get a lot of specials. Very neat and clean. The staff always friendly. Enjoy it going there.

Was not impress with staff. I wanted cut cold meat. Staff was not prepared to assist, told me to go to the sealed cold meat, futher down. Then carry on talking to their friend.

As one of two Checkers in the Mosselbay area, Bayside is the better one. Not crowded, clean and fairly spacious. Yes a bit smaller. The staff and management is friendly and helpful. The manager, Harriet, is a blessing. Will go out of her way to help a customer. In general, Checkers is Checkers

Staff helpfully. First time visiting and a very friendly floor assistant guide me to find all my needs in a japtrap and even assist me to get some sodas and juice.did not get his name but he made shopping a nice experience.

I have to take my hat off to the staff manager and staff! They have the best Checkers I have ever visited! The shop is clean and well-stocked! Visit them when in the area!
