My
friend
suggested
this
place
and
I
gave
it
a
go
today
for
lunch.
While
looking
at
the
menu,
I
asked
the
lady
preparing
the
food
if
it
would
be
possible
to
substitute
some
of
the
ingredients,
she
said
yes.
I
walk
to
the
till,
and
I
order
a
tataki
beef
salad.
I
ask
if
I
can
have
more
spinach
instead
of
kale,
and
what
I
could
substitute
pepper
and
onion
with.
They
give
me
a
few
options,
I
say
sweet
potato.
I
pay
and
I
notice
that
I
paid
1.5€
extra
for
'extra
spinach'
and
1.5€
'extra
for
sweet
potato'.
I
go
back
to
the
till
and
politely
ask
since
3
ingredients
were
removed,
why
was
I
charged
for
the
2
substituted
ones,
and
if
this
is
the
policy
of
the
place.
The
lady
replies
'YES,
OF
COURSE'.
I
do
not
say
anything
and
I
think
fair
enough,
even
though
do
not
support
this
practice.
My
food
is
ready
and
I
start
mixing
my
salad,
there
is
obvious
addition
of
'extra
spinach',
but
there
is
also
no
sweet
potato.
I
go
back
and
I
ask
her.
She
looks
as
in
she
does
not
believe
me
and
asks
the
lady
who
prepared
my
salad,
and
she
says
'No,
sorry,
I
will
put
it
now'.
I
get
my
'extra'
sweet
potato
and
I
start
eating.
While
eating,
I
find
an
EYELASH
in
my
bowl.
I
was
not
eating
directly
above
my
food
and
it
was
on
the
other
side,
below
some
ingredients,
so
it
could
not
have
been
mine.
At
that
point
I
was
tired,
I
left
that
side
untouched
and
ate
most
of
my
food.
Before
I
leave,
I
go
to
the
till
and
let
another
employee
know
about
the
eyelash
and
my
disappointment
for
the
bad
service,
and
I
ask
for
the
manager
as
I
believe
it
is
important
that
they
know
too.
The
manager
arrives
with
the
employee
who
was
at
the
till
when
I
ordered.
I
showed
the
eyelash
and
I
asked
why
would
they
charge
'extra'
ingredients
if
they
could
just
substitute
them.
The
employee
who
was
at
the
till
when
I
ordered
rushed
to
say
I
didn't
ask
for
a
substitute,
and
I
told
her
I
asked
you
specifically
and
the
other
employee,
not
to
mention
going
back
to
you
after
I
paid
for
EXTRA
CLARIFICATION.
I
then
left
as
I
did
not
wish
to
continue,
at
last
expressing
my
disappointment
as
a
first-time
customer
who
will
not
be
returning.
Food
tasted
good,
which
is
a
shame
for
my
today's
experience.
