The story behind the gem that is this cafe and its pay it forward ethos warms one's heart. The coffee and the baked goods we have tried so far were great and value for money. Breakfast is a family fave. Trying out the brunch and high tea next!

Great cafe run by lovely people! Came here for their english breakfast which is a steal as it included unlimited tea/coffee/juice. Staff is very heartwarming and always open for a nice chat. They also run a charity so you can see they put effort in helping the community. Will definitely return!

We have visited Jacob's Brew Cafe a few times over the last few years. We have always felt welcomed here! I must say that we love visiting also because the cafe is dog friendly, which makes it ideal for us as we simply don't enjoy leaving our 2 year old border collie at home! The food is delicious, prepared from the heart! Staff are always smiling and attentive. We look forward to return in the coming months!

Nice cafe serving english breakfast Deliciously delicious fried eggs In general, the interior of the café is nicely detailed. It is decorated in blue. Newspapers announcing the charitable work of the café are hung on the wall. There is quiet music. Serves very nice coffee

Had brunch here .in a wheelchair. Saw steps thought oh dear no way. Then owner came and couldnt have been more helpful and put a ramp over the 3 steps and was able to eat in with dear friends. Hoping to go back this week with more friends out from UK to show them the brilliant service and kindness from all the staff. Menu and food wonderful and cooked as i would have done. Clean and stylish and a place you cant wait to go back to. Thank you to owners and staff and see you later in week.

(Edited) My girlfriend and I visited this cafeteria, hoping for a pleasant dining experience. I opted for a meal that included free-flowing drinks. Before ordering, I made sure to clarify with the staff if this meant unlimited refills, and they confirmed my understanding. However, things took an unfortunate turn when, after consuming only four drinks, the waiter/owner approached me and accused me of sharing the free-flow service with my girlfriend. Their argument was based on the fact that she took a sip from my cup to taste the drink. I tried explaining that it was just a brief taste test, but the owner insisted that consuming four drinks during breakfast was excessive. While I understand the technicality, and I'm not particularly upset about the additional charge (although three euros seemed steep for just a few sips), what truly disappointed me was the manner in which the owner addressed the situation. I left that day feeling scolded and disheartened, despite my initial intention of enjoying a pleasant time. It was an overall unpleasant experience. The following day, we decided to give the cafeteria another chance. This time, I ordered waffles and was served two clearly store-bought, low-quality waffles that were severely burnt. Although they replaced them upon my request, charging 5.5 euros for cheap, prepackaged waffles still felt like a significant ripoff in my opinion. Considering my experience, I cannot recommend this place to others. The combination of being lectured and spoken to in an unpleasant manner, along with overpriced and subpar food, left a negative impression on me. Edit: Reply to owner: I acknowledge that my partner didn't officially order any drinks, but she did taste them, as you mentioned in your reply. Hence, the €3 charge. However, my primary concern lies with the manner in which you addressed the situation. It was your approach and tone that left a negative impact on me. While I understand the need for an additional charge due to her brief sampling of the drinks (even though it was just a couple of sips), it was the way you handled the situation that disappointed me the most. Regarding the replaced waffles, I only consumed a small portion of one waffle (approximately one-fourth or one-third), considering I received two waffles. Just imagine if you had charged me extra for serving burnt waffles, which I presume you purchase pre-made from a nearby store at a fraction of the price you charge your customers. That would have been truly unreasonable. In terms of revisiting your cafeteria, we actually only went there twice. The second time was purely because we were enticed by the appearance of your desserts. However, it turned out that you simply serve cheap, store-bought waffles that are preheated. This was quite disappointing. I must admit that your place has a pleasant ambiance and is situated in a nice location. I believe that you treat other customers with respect and kindness. I genuinely hope that you won't handle anyone else's experience in the same manner as you did with us.

Great place for a coffee, some English breakfast or for the sweet tooth ones. A family run business with the owners greeting each and every customer with a great smile. It was my first visit today and I was greeted as if I am a regular. While there I noticed a lot of returning customers since Jacob was addressing them with their first name. Jacob et Al, keep up the service but most of all, the smile on your faces. Will definitely revisit more frequently.

If you want a taste of Maltese hospitality, then come to this place. We really enjoyed our breakfasts here. By the end of our 1 week stay, staff even greeted us on the street and the owner already knew the order when we were coming in.

Great food choices, cosy and quirky interior. Great service and bonus is their amazing work in donating money to charity. It's a must go when heading to swim or see the salt planes here.

Jacob's Coffee in Marsaskala is a delightful café that encompasses everything one would hope for in a cozy, community-oriented establishment. Having frequented this café on numerous occasions, I have come to appreciate the warm ambiance, nice food offerings, and the commendable community involvement exhibited by the family running the café. Nestled in the heart of Marsaskala, Jacob's Coffee exudes an undeniable charm that captures your attention from the moment you step inside. The café's cozy interior creates a welcoming atmosphere that invites you to relax and enjoy a delightful café experience. When it comes to the food, Jacob's Coffee truly excels. Their selection of sandwiches and sweets is simply divine. The breakfast ciabatta, in particular, has become my go-to morning indulgence. Every bite is a burst of flavors, with the combination of fresh ingredients and expertly crafted ciabatta bread creating a mouthwatering sensation that kickstarts my day perfectly. For tea time, I highly recommend trying their scones with cream. These delectable treats are a true delight, with their flaky texture and subtle sweetness complementing the smooth, velvety cream perfectly. It's a heavenly combination that satisfies the cravings and makes tea time an absolute pleasure. Beyond the exceptional food, what sets Jacob's Coffee apart is the genuine care and commitment they demonstrate toward their community. The family running the café goes above and beyond to contribute positively to the local area. Their efforts are commendable, and it's heartwarming to see a business that actively engages in community-driven initiatives. By supporting Jacob's Coffee, you're not only enjoying fantastic food but also contributing to a business that genuinely cares about the well-being of their surroundings. The friendly and attentive staff at Jacob's Coffee further enhance the overall experience. They always greet customers with a warm smile and provide excellent service. Additionally, the prices are reasonable and offer great value for the quality of food and service provided. Jacob's Coffee is more than just a café; it's a place where delicious flavors converge with a genuine sense of community spirit. Whether you're looking for a tasty breakfast, a delightful tea-time treat, or simply a place to unwind and enjoy the company of friends, this café exceeds expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Jacob's Coffee to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience that not only delights the taste buds but also supports a local business that gives back to the community.

Breakfast was ok…nothing special, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 3 bacon, some beans and 2 slices of toast. A little expensive compared to others in the area. Service was slow but the poor waitress was working alone front of house. They provide free food for the ITU, Coffee Run and NGO Survivors. Great charity work going on…well done

The food and drinks were amazing and at a great price. The service was perfect. But all of that is secondary to the Pay It Forward aspect of this establishment. Truly a great, great experience.

Home food nostalgia for a Brit like me living abroad, with an amazing story behind this lovely little cafe / coffee house. I recommend you have a chat with the staff to get to know a little more about the inspiration that led to the concept. Don't hesitate to try it out!

Nice place to visit for a breakfast. Additional plus for the initiative of the owner. Ordered toasts and English breakfast. Bacon was not a real bacon. Toast was nice but too much bread vs ham and cheese.

This is an awesome place for a coffee and something to eat. This coffee shop is dog friendly, and if you're fortunate you'll meet some of the four legged patrons who frequently visit this place for a pappuccino. Part of the proceedings of this place go to Survivors Malta (they're the founders), so this is also a great way to donate to charity.
