Miroslav
was
the
best
guide
we
could
possibly
have
hoped
for
in
every
possible
way.
For
starters,
he
is
a
trained
mountain
guide
and
former
president
of
the
mountaineering
club
based
in
Mostar.
He
knows
the
mountains
like
the
back
of
his
hand.
For
us,
the
weather
conditions
changed
very
rapidly
while
we
were
in
Prenj
and
Miro
was
able
to
change
plan
each
day
to
get
the
best
possible
experience
given
the
weather.
He
also
inspires
complete
confidence.
He
taught
us
how
to
use
crampons
and
snow
shoes,
as
well
as
how
to
prevent
yourself
from
sliding
down
the
mountain
in
the
event
of
a
fall.
We
felt
like
we
were
in
capable
hands
at
every
possible
moment.
Similarly,
he
had
planned
every
meal
over
the
few
days
we
were
together.
Each
one
was
exactly
what
we
needed,
filling
up
with
long
days
of
activity,
and
most
importantly,
some
wonderful
home-made
wine
and
cheese
to
accompany
us
every
day.
But
also,
what
a
great
person.
Miro
is
full
of
fascinating
stories
about
Bosnia's
history
and
amazingly
open
about
the
remarkable
life
he
has
had.
We
could
have
sat
and
listened
to
him
talk
for
hours
even
without
the
beautiful
scenery
we
were
trekking
through.
He
is
kind,
funny,
and
insightful,
and
we
found
it
a
real
honour
to
be
able
to
learn
from
him
for
a
few
days.
One
last
thing.
If
you
are
coming
from
the
UK,
you
can
absolutely
do
a
trip
with
Miro
over
a
long
weekend.
This
is
what
we
did
and
we
did
it
because
some
friends
recommended
the
same
trip
with
Miro.
We
flew
from
London
to
Sarejevo,
drove,
hiked
for
2
days
and
a
night,
and
drove
back.
You
could
take
much,
much
longer
-
and
we
wished
we'd
had
more
time
-
but
if
a
weekend
is
what
you
have,
there
is
no
better
person
to
have
plan
a
trip
for
you
than
Miro.
We
would
recommend
in
the
strongest
possible
terms!
