We
had
booked
The
anchorage
for
a
one
day
stay
after
reading
the
reviews
of
the
place.
I
would
like
to
put
in
my
honest
experience
of
the
stay
so
that
people
get
an
idea
of
what
to
expect.
Good
things
about
the
property:
-
1.The
amazing
view-
The
hotel
has
amazing
river
view
2.The
Barbeque-
They
have
special
barbeque
for
dinner
which
they
even
serve
in
the
middle
of
the
river.
Their
Barbeque
tasted
awesome
and
our
dinner
experience
was
too
good.
Things
that
disappointed:
1.We
were
a
group
of
7
consisting
of
my
parents
and
also
my
2
year
old
kid.
The
property
does
not
have
a
lift
so
we
had
specifically
asked
for
3
adjacent
rooms
in
the
"first
floor"
since
my
parents
had
issues
climbing
up
the
stairs
and
we
did
not
want
to
compromise
on
the
view
taking
the
ground
floor.
I
had
made
advance
booking
and
received
written
confirmation
from
the
resort
about
the
same.
However
upon
reaching
we
were
disappointed
by
the
explanations
given
by
the
hotel
people
saying
that
only
2nd
floor
and
ground
floor
is
available
giving
lame
excuses
of
"
we
had
not
noticed
that
we
had
specifically
confirmed
on
the
first
floor".
Their
restaurant
is
in
the
basement,
so
basically
we
had
to
climb
down
3
flight
of
stairs
each
time.
2.
We
reached
at
about
2
pm,
and
we
had
ordered
for
the
food
in
advance,
after
about
30
minutes
of
waiting
we
were
served
the
extremely
spicy(kind
of
unbearable
according
to
all
our
taste
buds-
views
of
other
people
might
differ)
Biriyani,
and
the
Fish
curry
meals.
(Word
of
caution
to
people
travelling
with
little
kids-
inform
in
advance
to
get
normal
spiced
food
for
your
kids)
3.
None
us
could
finish
what
was
ordered
and
had
all
our
tummy's
n
tongue's
burning
so
we
ordered
for
"vanilla"
ice
cream,
which
as
informed
to
us,
was
available.
We
were
brought
six
portions
of
ice
cream,
with
5
cups
of
Vanilla
Mixed
with
Spoilt
looking
Strawberry
Ice
cream
and
a
cup
of
"some
scrapped
out
of
the
box"
kind
of
Strawberry
ice
cream.
Since
we
felt
it
was
spoilt
we
tried
one
spoon
and
found
it
tasted
bad,
hence
we
returned
it,
on
seeking
the
explanation
from
staff,
we
were
informed
that
Vanilla
was
over
so
he
had
added
the
leftover
Strawberry
from
the
last
box.
We
were
not
charged
for
it,
but
it
is
important
to
include
the
same
as
part
of
the
experience
we
had
at
the
place.
4.We
had
asked
in
advance
if
we
had
to
order
for
the
breakfast,
but
we
were
informed
that
the
breakfast
is
ala-carte,
and
they
named
a
few
items
too
which
would
be
available.
We
had
joined
for
breakfast
at
8
am
which
they
said
is
their
breakfast
opening
time,
only
to
find
that,
they
have
only
Upma
and
Idiyappam
for
breakfast.
Since
we
werent
huge
fans
of
upma
we
ordered
for
Omelette,
which
they
said
is
available.
After
waiting
"45
Min"
we
were
served
5
quarter
pieces
with
an
explanation
that
eggs
are
over
(at
9
in
the
morning-
LOL!!).
It
would
be
great
if
breakfast
was
made
chargeable
adding
more
options
to
it
rather
than
this
disappointing
complimentary
combo.
After
seeing
great
reviews
of
the
Puttu
and
kadala
Breakfast
on
google
we
were
really
looking
forward
to
it
only
to
be
disappointed.
There
are
no
hotels
or
shops
nearby,
please
bring
along
enough
snacks
and
short
eats
for
your
kids.
To
sum
up,
the
location,
the
barbeque,
the
river
side,
the
rooms
and
the
hygiene
were
all
awesome
but
the
food
and
the
co-ordination
was
very
average.
