Cars are newish, clean and dependable, much cheaper then the larger car rental companies and so much better to deal with. Sylvia is amazing as are both Diego and Anwar. Reserved a rental car before arriving in Progreso from our cruise. I had to grab a taxi from the ship as the office is about two miles from the pier. Cost - $10. Met Diego at the office. Great guy. I have limited Spanish and he had limited English, but we were able to make it work. It is always a little nerve wracking when communication is limited and you're dealing with an off brand, in a foreign country and not a major company. Diego was AWESOME and made sure we had a good car, the original car we ordered was not available and he brought us a larger one at no additional cost. Communication beforehand was great. Service was excellent and while the car wasn't the fanciest, it had A/C and was clean and reliable. If we ever go back to Progreso, we will defiantly rent from them again. Thank you, Diego! We rented a car for two weeks in March. The original car wasn't available so they upgraded us to a JAC without additional cost. Diego was an excellent communicator and was flexible when we had some difficulty with our flight. He even drove us back to our condo when we dropped the car off. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with this company in the future!

Great selection of home rentals at a good price. Staff could not be more helpful and understanding. They also have car rentals priced much better than any of the big chains because they do not trick you with needing extra insurance. They will pick you up anywhere needed.

Yucatán Vacations/ car rental service was fantastic. They were so flexible with dropping off my rental car to my Airbnb in Merida and also allowing me to drop it off in Cancun.. for a fee.. of course. But it made my 2.5 month trip to the Yucatán much more hassle free. The cost was very reasonable!! Including the insurance and taxes.. I got a flat tire a few weeks in, and the staff was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp.. in English! Very quick to respond! I appreciate it. No hidden fees , very easy to book , to pay remotely.. everything was great . The car was very spacious and reliable. We felt very safe driving (during the day) . We have rented a car from Yucatan Vacations two different times, and both times we had excellent service and an excellent experience overall. The first time they picked us up at the airport and took us to their location in Merida. The second time, we picked up and dropped off at their office in Progreso. On both occasions, everyone we dealt with was professional, kind, and genuinely interested in helping us have a pleasant experience. In the past we have dealt with two other car rental agencies in Merida (one local and one a national chain), but our experience at those places left us with much to be desired. We will absolutely rent from Yucatan Vacations anytime we need a car in Yucatan in the future!

They make renting a car simple! When a rate is given it includes all taxes and insurance. Another great feature is a 2nd driver is also included in the rate. Cars have always been received clean and without mechanical issues. There are also pickup and return options as they have two offices in the Merida area. Great, local company!

This agency has excellent service and prices. Diego in Progreso and Miguel in Mérida were both friendly and accommodating with our rental car needs. 5 start because there are not 10. Honestly, the best rental car service in the Yucatan Peninsula. I rented previously in Cancun and this is definitely the best one. One of the most important things about this review is the human treatment I received from Luis. When I arrived at his office, I told him about one unfortunate event I had during previous days and that it might impact the rental. Before talking about business, Luis cared about me and he wanted to make sure I was fine. Then, he was open to the options and we could rent the car. Last but not least, he was absolutely clear about the rental and all the requirements, obligations, and recommendations. If I go back to Merida, I would definitely rent a car with him again.
