It's been over a decade since I've visited Mount Washington, and it's still as good as I remember. The views are amazing, and the observatory has a lot of information! Hikers are also passing in and out all the time, so it's quite busy. Just make sure you have decent material on your brake pads and use 1st or 2nd gear on the drive back down! You could smell numerous people's brakes on the descent. I even heard a car grinding brakes because they used all of their pads. If you stop by the observatory gift shop on the lower level of the main building, ask to see the video "Breakfast of Champions". It's hilarious. See my photos for a sampling of the views. If you make the drive, it's amazing to see the tree and plant growth shrink as you go up in elevation to over 6,000 feet.

4th time coming here. The view is breath taking. The atmosphere is surreal. If you love the mountains by all means this place serves it all. It's good to carry a sweater especially going to the peak. The weather changes . The higher you go the cooler it becomes. You can choose to drive your own car or have professional drivers drive you. They are awesome, trained, will share the history of the summit.

What an amazing view. The weather at the top is chilly and windy so bring a heavy wind proof jacket and a brandy to keep your head warm. There are three ways to get to the top, hiking, a train, a guided tour via a van, and driving up yourself. Driving up is $45 per car plus $20 per additional person in the vehicle. The guided tour is $55 per person. The drive up can seem daunting but it isn’t that bad. Hardest part isn’t the bluffs but avoiding other cars. My advice would be if you do drive up plan it where you leave after 5pm when the park closes. The decent will be an easy drive. There are plenty of hikes and views at the summit area. There are scenic views on the drive as well.

The drive up to mount Washington was simply majestic. Even though there are enough parking spots at the summit, being a popular location, parking can easily get overwhelmed and you may need to wait. So, plan to reach the auto road early. The drive in itself is beautiful. There are a couple of spots on the drive up, which should definitely be explored. It can get chilly up there, so better to have jackets. There are a couple of food options at the summit if you want a quick bite. As expected, views from the top are surreal, though sometimes cloud cover can block the view

Absolutely a different world experience. The effects of weather and climate at that altitude is totally rad. The drive up is gnarly… not for the weak! Price was $55 for my wife and I, but how do you value the experience??

We went to the summit on the last day of the season 2023. For the winter, the train only goes up part of the way. It was a cloudy day as most Saturdays have been this year. If you ever decide to take this opportunity to the summit, make sure you dress for it. We went mid-October and dressed appropriately for winter. It was very cold and windy at the top. We could barely make out the buildings at the summit. We would like to return in the summer for better views. It was still a fun time and would recommend.

We made the drive up the mountain and don’t get me wrong, views were incredible, but if you have a fear of heights at all then this probably isn’t for you. Fog and winds hit about halfway up which sent me into a panic attack. Coming down was much better, but I would not recommend if you have any issues with heights or ledges. They don’t have guardrails, just a few large rocks/boulders here and there. Again, the views are awesome so if you’re good with heights then absolutely plan this into part of your trip! But if not, maybe enjoy the views from the bottom like I should have haha! Most of my pics are from the drive up but I definitely didn’t get any from the top or any perspective on the narrow roads (again, this drive was not my best choice as I don’t do well with certain heights/ledges).

This place is absolutely stunning! It was a bit chilly when we went, possibly because of the 6000 feet in elevation, but otherwise a gorgeous day. The views are incredible, and it was an awesome reminder of nature's beauty. If you are fearful of heights or get car sick easily, the drive up will be uncomfortable but honestly totally worth it.

It take me 15 minutes for 4 miles driving to the sumit. And $45 for a car with driver, each adult will be charge $20 more on board. The view of this mountain is awesome, but not in cloudy day. You won't able to see anything on the summit except for the dense fog. Remember check your brake carefully before you decide to visit this 5000 ft height mountain. I can smell it bbq my brake when going down. Lol
