Cleanliness is a big concern. Cockroaches in the dry sauna and scum build up in the steam room. Not a good look for a world class facility. Toilets and showers smell like fermented urine. Definitely not cleaned frequently. Unfortunately, this was enough to cancel my membership. Would be great if Cleanliness was stepped up.

Built to purpose building with clean toilets and separate changing rooms. Lockers too are available. Indoor pools are heated and one outdoor tube that opens only in summers is housed here. Swim wear shop with limited variety is there and a recently revamped Cafe is a nice addition/improvement. Ample of parking space but sometimes hard to find due to any state event happening there. Memberships and casual bookings both are available. P.s. would like to mention some great swimming teachers I came across : Tash( sadly left last year), Jacasta, Ajaya Windsor and Nazim Moosa.

A wonderful affordable venue for families. Good prices on birthday parties too. The whole centre though is starting to date a little and some maintenance and upkeep is definitely required.

I generally enjoy my swimming at this pool. I like to swim 50m when possible. I am older and a bit slow but consistent and have good pool etiquette. This morning I attended for my lap swimming at 8am. There were 3 lanes available in the middle of the pool. One was marked fast another medium and the other one was blank. As I know I am slower I opted for the blank lane. All lanes were busy. I noticed some were swimming very fast. Everything was going fine until a woman swimming very fast overtook and swam straight into me hitting my head hard with her arm. I certainly told her off and my head hurt for some time. I switched lanes. I saw a young lifeguard after and told him what happened and asked if one of the lanes could be marked slow as we slow swimmers are a bit nicer to each other. He wasn’t helpful at all. I spoke to another lifeguard who said he would pass on the message. I hope this gets sorted.

Gym is great, well maintained. Coffee shop is really good, great coffee and food. The pool however is in need of serious maintenance, Spa looks tired and neglected, jets not working, plastic cover on seats in spa has come loose, toilets and showers look like they need an update, sanitary bin sensors mostly not working, cockroaches have been sighted, not just by me..... Booking lanes: useless. Sometimes there are hardly lanes available. Was told by the front desk staff that no further restrictions apply anymore in regards to the number of people per lane.....that seems a bit strange to me. Why book?? Emails about the above are being ignored btw. Please use the grant you apparently received to update the place.

If I had known how archaic the booking systems are to log on to book into gym classes, I would have never signed up to this gym.. good luck booking into a reformers class. Set your alarm for 6:59am every morning to book for 3 days ahead and miss out by a second. Phone and complain and receive arrogant young customer service attendant never apologise but that’s correct ‘8 people have booked into this class in under 60 seconds and you have missed out for 6 weeks running but we’ll happily deduct your membership and increase the fees regularly’. If my children were not swimming members, I would have cancelled a month in. What a joke

Very rude life guards they weren't understanding and didn't even think to compromise with us. We had like no where to swim, every other pool was closed off and had the little kid pool to work with, got told off for trying to have fun and enjoy being stuck in the little pool. So if your like a young adult don't even bother going cause ya don't have much to work with.

The gym at SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre is average at best. The variety of equipment to use is subpar, in addition to the homophobes walking around like they own the place. Wouldn't recommend to a person with standard

Mixed feelings .... The swimming educators are great and the staff are fabulous. The cafe is good and the coffee is well made. The actual facilities are a bit hit and miss. The spa is old and tired and not really a spa at all. The showers and toilets are never clean and I think more regular attention is required - hourly in peak season would be best! The outside waterslides have never worked in the 3 years I've been going here.

Absolutely shocking if you want to do rehab in the rehabilitation pool. You have to book it online for a certain time but the arrogant life savers just let anyone in the pool doing laps. This is a disgrace when you support a child with a disability. Cost a fortune for families under NDIS. SHAME !!!

Terrible, it is expensive, half the equipment does not work. There is insulation hanging down above the children's pool, and everything has received very little maintenance over a very long period of time. I went to the north Adelaide pool around 4 years ago, and it looked in better shape. This is the newer facility and should be maintained

Why would you close the only canteen where you can get an ice cream or a drink at 3pm when the pool is open till 6.30pm and the place is full of adults and kids dying for an ice cream or a drink when they finish their swimming. Easy money for the owner gone out the door. If you can’t service the hundreds of kids in here, get out and give it to someone that is more reasonable, reliable and flexible

Disgusting service and staff are just greedy for KPIs. I went to sign my daughter up for swimming lessons, starting Jan. Assured if I sign up, it will begin in Jan. Low and behold I'm being charged $50 a fortnight for a service I can't use due to Xmas/school etc. Tell me it's my fault, offers me 1 free swim lesson to make up for it. $100 down the drain and I told them I can't bring her and they offer 1 swim lesson? HORRID

2020 Sauna/Steam - $4.00, 2021 Sauna/Steam $6.00, 2022 Sauna/Steam $9.50. Something doesn't add up here. Yes, the sauna and steam are more popular than they used to be, but whoever was the bright spark with the supply and demand logic who thought raising the prices was the answer obviously has no regards for the more vulnerable populations of the community, who they are seemingly trying to price out in order to keep the numbers down, shame on you Marion.

Great facility, very welcoming environment to train or swim. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Ben at the front desk and Alex upstairs in the gym, are both stars! Both so cheerful and outgoing, helps make it a pleasure to come here.

Every Monday my friend and I come down here and after gym we will ALWAYS get some large chips to share. Not the most beneficial way to gain muscle and loose weight ik. But the chips are soooo good. And today the nice lady behind the counter now knows our order, which is the coolest thing ever. So yeah. I think that the nice lady behind the counter should get a raise.

Outstanding facilities, modern and family friendly. Much better than Sydney's Olympic Park Aquatic Centre for sure 😊

I've been going to the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre for around 3 months now and everytime I go in I find the staff so welcoming, not just friendly but actually helpful. The gym equipment and pools are always clean and tidy and well organised. As someone just starting a fitness journey again after a long time I've never felt more comfortable.

The swim school staff are hit and miss, half are lovely and half look like they want to be anywhere but teaching kids. The mats used in the junior classes are disgusting. Literally falling apart every time a kid climbs on them. This morning the mat was so bad it was a choking risk and our teacher warned us to make sure the kids didn't swallow any pieces. When you pay $25 per class per child you expect better equipment. The showers are also filthy.

Terrible entry layout. Always packed in line up blocking way for member entry during busy hours. Children using rehab pools with no enforcement at all. Terrible ventilation system in the gym, humidity is unbearable during summer. Change rooms need frequent cleaning. Definitely not a world class facility.

Absolutely awful experience!! Attended with my son for his birthday and four of his friends. Called prior to booking weeks ago to get the run down on what I can, and cannot bring. First when checking in was abruptly told I couldn't bring in the cupcakes and food I'd brought. Asked if I had a knife or candles, of which I did not. Got told no commercial food could be brought in, which I did not. Signed a waiver upon request. Put our belongings on a table only to come back 45 minutes to find all our belongings had been handled by staff, moved and placed on the floor, how dare they. Staff member said you can't reserve a table!! Then got told to move into other part on table. Which I did, where multiple other families did the same thing as I. I bought a coffee, sat at table, went away for ten minutes to get kids to have snack and sing happy birthday to my son. To then have the duty manager come and tell me it's reserved for patrons only, I bought a coffee and paid to be there. He sarcastically said " you can't just buy a coffee and sit here for five hours" I was there for an hour, which was a shorter time than others there. Five minutes later he was back telling me I could only have one table, as others were waiting. There were numerous empty tables inside!!!! Not to mention we had 8 people, the double table used alongside us also had a larger group, which were allowed to stay there for hours. We sung happy birthday, packed up and left!! As we sat inside the swimming centre for another hour I watched the other table where others did exactly as I did sit there!!! They expressed they do birthday parties, yes for minimum ten kids, with food they would never eat. I had four additional children. They bullied, harassed me, caused me embarrassment as multiple people were looking at, and listening to the discussion. And they handled our belongings without my permission, and put them on the floor. I called prior to attending, found out what I could and couldn't bring, and followed the rules they told me, to then be hassled all day. They did not ruin my son's birthday as we wouldn't give them the power, but they certainly caused me so much undue stress. If we didn't sing happy birthday , it wouldn't have been an issue they just wanted extra money from us. Others were allowed to do exactly as I did, and were able to stay there at the table for hours, no issues. We will never go here again. Service bullying, centre not that great, facility extremely average!!! Absolutely terrible experience.. we'll stick with Noarlunga, and Marion outdoor aquatic centre, who are friendly, welcoming , you can sit where you want, bring your own nibbles no issues, and they don't bully you

Clean and funky with great trainers, sauna, and group fitness culture (especially any of the aqua dance related classes) but the rudest front desk staff I’ve ever come across- I’ve been bringing loads of friends to the centre who have each encountered the same thing and its become somewhat of an inside joke/game to see how sassy and discriminative they’ll be each visit. There is a feeling that everyone knows each other from church and that as a public guest I am interrupting or annoying them.Fine if you can snap back and not let it psyche out your day of training- not good when you just want to get into business. Definite problems with young people and some kind of strange vibes of being selective in letting in certain guests despite it being a public offering.

Great fun idea for kids party - we just had some rowdy older kids scaring the younger kids would have been nice if staff tried to manage that a bit better but a great party none the less

The website stated the centres pools where at 29 degrees, however the pool did feel quite cool. The abundance of staff and lifeguards was quite impressive and should make anyone feel at ease being in and out of the pool. Plenty of room in the water areas for little ones and family with change areas to suit the single or family pool goer. Small cafe that appeared to be well stocked. Large areas for school groups and on the day I went, it seemed very apparent this is a main stay of this location. But they did have their own areas so intruding on your family time won't be a issue. Several water slide to suffice the toddler to the teenager. Check opening times on the website for when these operate. But, please note a "standard" midweek day is not one of them.

Everything is great in this centre, the cafe has the best food.. it's great for the kids and the centre looks so clean and good. Great place to cool off in summer. Love it every time I go there.
