honest, well made South American food - queues during busy market days. My fave was the crab and prawn chilli linguine (bursting with flavour and heaps of crab and prawn in there!) and any of their arepas (corn bread).

Great atmosphere, didn't feel confined or overcrowded even though there were many guests inside. Friendly staff, great service, had tapas selection for dinner with my 2 teenage daughters and it was cooked really quickly, hardly waited at all. We really enjoyed the food. Staff were able to pack up our leftovers into takeaway containers as our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we couldn't eat as much as we ordered. Overall, great place, will visit again, perhaps even for breakfast while making a trip to Central markets. Recommend that you give this place a go.

A really nice spot for dinner, if a bit hectic as it's part of the Central Market. The food is nice and they don't hold back on the portion sizes. You definitely won't walk away hungry! The hardest thing is choosing as there are so many amazing things to try. The kingfish Ceviche was pretty special, as was the anchovies toast. The crab and prawn linguine was also a real winner. Would definitely sign up for any of those again. The drinks were also quite nice, with some decent cocktails on offer. Even whipped us up some mocktails for the non drinkers. The staff are also really lovely. Wed go back, for sure.

This paella is the best! Even if you order a large size, it will be eaten in no time. Adding lemon and coriander makes it even better. The staff are friendly and the food is enjoyable. This is a dish that we recommend you try once.

Had light brunch here before and the paella is absolutely delicious! Good mix of crispy edges of the rice and chewiness. Great flavour and taste too! We also got the churro doughnuts which was pretty good too but would love more caramel sauce on it.

The arepa beef (gf $18) which I had for breakfast on Saturday the 25th of November, 2023, I hope to remember this meal forever. On arrival at my table, it was perfect. A layer, a stack of one arepa, pulled beef, avo, then sour cream; I added two poached eggs. The eggs were perfect. Just... my goodness. The meal in total was more than I expected, and the awe and wow were genuine from my mouth. Beauty from eye to fork to belly. The beef was tasty as, mate, tasty. The service is calm, confident, industrious. Andrés, you rock, man - no, you're the boss. Chef... hats off, totally. || A funny little vignette. Four French folk were seated near me. I know a little français and I enjoy listening to that language because its pretty, and I like trying to guess what they are saying. Not prying or doxxing lol just some eavesdropping.lite. The curious thing for me and no judgement is that amongst all those lovely South American fusion foods (the menu is ample yet not overwhelming, at great quality and value tbh btw), they had brung in plain croissants. Not the brung in part but just eating their normal, everyday breakfast. Well, a little bit of the brung in part lol. Gotta laugh. Hey, Ive been there: I've eaten Maccas in Paris while surrounded by 1000s of better options. Like I say, no judgement. Just funny. One thing I will say, when I get home, Im gonna learn how to make arepa (savoury grilled pancake). I can make mini tortillas (lard, flour, hot water) in a steel pan. Because arepa are good, so good. || One thing I will say (other than well done on reading this far!) is Cumbia for me is the reward of researching using Google before you arrive. Now, chance is fine too (last night I ambled past then into a quirky but awesome Chinese bbq place) but a modicum of researching and adding "breakfast, lunch, dinner" locations to your itinerary is something I've only done in the last few years and it pays. In the case of Cumbia, it pays will joy, beauty, value, deliciousness and friendliness.

Looked better than it tasted. We came just before noon on a Saturday. The paella was too wet, had too much moisture, and lacked flavour. Coffee was nice. Staffs were nice and friendly. Maybe we came on a bad day?

Had a paella on a Friday evening. Was good, but could be better. Something was missing in the taste. At least the lime gave a nice kick to it. The small portion is quite big and enough for one person if you are not extremely starving. Paid only $10 at the end of the day, 20 min before closing.

Went there on a Saturday night, this newly opened restaurant which serve Latin American food, definitely surprised me. I like their Menu which serve Latin I haven't tried before. You should try their Tapas Menu, which is slightly pricer but worth it. Their Main could be better but is acceptable. The steak we ordered, meant to be medium but came almost well done. That is just one small bit of my criticism. Their dessert are good. We had Lemon Cake, Guava Pie and Short Bread with Caramel filling, and they are all very nice. Waiting staff are friendly, quick & swift! Another cool thing is, they hired a singer performed live guitar & singing Latino music which was very enjoyable!! A big plus to that!! Overall, great food, great service and great entertainment 👍😊

So disappointed! This is third visited for me for the last couple of years. Me and my husband visited for lunch, we order food and drink then they served wrong beer, however we decided to not to complaining then over an half an hour no food been served. We ordered second drink then we asked what happened to our food? then we saw no one was cooking in the kitchen also no staff was interested we got served or not? They seemed all busy to cleaning and checking out end of morning business. We got food almost 40 minute later and food wasn't really good. My meatball was bunt and so dry and almost left over payalla was very salty. Compared to service and food quality it was quiet costly! Never go back again!

Place ambience is nice amd staff was very attentive. Food flavor was decent but I did expect a little stronger flavor in it. Pork belly wasn't crispy for the arepa(unsure if it was meant to be like that or crispier) and a little cold when it came, but the presentation was unique. Paella was a good portion and can be shared between two people with another side dish to be filling. Chorizzo in the paella was really tasty but the chicken pieces came with the skin attached so it was quite an unpleasant texture to eat and look at. Wine sangria was refreshing!

So bad experience, we waited like 30 mins plus for food. The mexicana bowl is so little and the paella had like 40% of hard rice that you couldn't bite it, affect the whole dish , every bite contains hard rice (not sure if they were uncooked or was dry out from previous batch)

Lovely store at corner, proving decent food, coffee and customer service. Thanks for the recommendations from professional waiter. Enjoy the meal. Love central market!

THE best chilli crab/prawn linguine I have ever had. Great portion size with a generous amount of prawn and crab, seasoning was amazing, with cherry tomatoes and a slice of lemon. All around amazing dish. Argentinian steak and Mex taco were also delish. Could have easily eaten another serving of the tacos.

We visited this place and automatically were greeted by a really friendly and professional team. The food was really tasty and well portioned. Highly recommend the Arepa with Pork Belly. We liked this place so much we went for lunch and breakfast the next day. Thank you Andres for the great attention! We will come and visit you next time for sure!

Just beside Adelaide food market.. Mocha tasted like hot choclate and was the worst i ever had, sorry , and my didnt really enjoied flatwhite too. I would recommend ordering juices instead of coffee here But food was good enough. Portion size was good.

For a few beers and some south American delights to start your night, Cumbria is a good option. The arepa with prawns was lovely especially when washed down with a couple of Colombian beers. Make sure you book a table because the place has some limitations in terms of space, being sat outside OR being next to the door which is perpetually opening and closing

Nice place for breakfast/brunch. I recommend the Avo Loco which is a sourdough with smashed avocado and dukkah. Deliciosa!

I come here every time I visit Adelaide. The food has always been amazing, with large serving sizes too. The service is good with smiling, friendly and attentive waitresses. Music is nice at a good volume so you can still enjoy the company around you.

Always my go-to for Breakfast when I’m having a staycation around the central markets. I always enjoy the friendly and positive attitudes from staff, great breakfast menu with a touch of South American flavours! 📸: @deelycious_

Lovely evening, great entrees and a place you need to go. Food was great. Kid options not really alot to choose from. Hot sauce with the gnocchi, it goes but its too much.

We had a very nice late breakfast here. The South American Breakfast was very nice. It was also very pleasant to side in the shade outside enjoying the late morning breeze.

Was there for dinner. Food was great. Ceviche was the best I've had. Empanadas was good Bit expensive for the portion served. Excellent service

Really enjoyed our light lunch at the market on Saturday, so booked a table for dinner Saturday night! We enjoyed our meals very much! Lovely fresh cooked grilled chicken was tasty, tender & served with fried potatoes sour cream & lemon, delicious & a huge green side salad. Partner had a delicious meal of bbq spare ribs. Service was lovely, friendly, attentive & punctual. I really liked the food & casual, authentic atmosphere

Best South America Latin food in adelaide I believe. To top it off, every staff here are friendly but not in your face which makes it a very comfortable dining experience

Very unhappy.. Was over charged by $20 but as I didn't notice till later that day they refused to refund unless i went back.. Also i specifically asked for no chilli or pepper and i ended up with avocado with chilli on my plate i could not eat..

Lovely, genuinely friendly waitress served us. Breakfast food was amazing, usually scrambled eggs isn’t very exciting but the way it was presented and the corn fritter underneath was a nice touch. Will definitely be coming back to try their lunch menu!

Amazing food and service. Definitely worth trying everything. Tapas were great, we got the tapas for 2 and had a variety of dishes. The meatballs alone were a stand out, variety of vegetables with a don of cheese in the middle. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. They have a range of sides and drinks including cocktails. Just need cushions on seats to invite you to stay that little bit longer. Will definitely back to try it all!!

I was ummming and ahhing and they convinced me to come in and gave us a taste test of their chicken and chorizo. Instantly we knew we needed to get one of their rolls. Get the combo bocadillo you won’t be disappointed!!!
