From Akron to Peninsula and back. A total of 2 hrs with two 5 minutes stops in between to pick up anyone along the hiking trails. Beautiful view. Not much time to get off the train and do anything but stretch your legs. You can walk throughout the train. From car to car to see the different ones. The food car is at the end. Hot dogs, popcorn, lunchables, string cheese, tea, water, some soda pop. The gift shop is a little on the expensive side, so bring a lot of cash. Hoody $50-$60 T-shirts $26-28, stuff animals $20 Magnets $5-$10. Coffee mugs $20. Restrooms are available on the train. We were up on the dome part of the Silver Bronco. Air conditioning was working perfectly on that hot day! The guide we had was a very nice man who told us about the history as we were traveling down the tracks. Will have to come back for another short relaxing ride.

Train ride was a nice historic experience, but not as much "scenery" as I expected. We saw trees, river, and marsh, but also a lot of city mixed in. The 2 hr ride was a bit too long for my elementary-age kids, but good overall.

What a nice place to visit during the holidays. Alive with the Christmas Spirit. Lots of fun waiting for the Polar Express

Awesome train ride through Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Summit Metroparks from Peninsula to Akron ( temporarily until tracks are repaired ) . Coaches are very comfortable and climate controlled. Train has a concession car and restrooms.

Peninsula is a gem of a small town. Beautiful setting, next to the Cuyahoga River, historic train service, easy access to the towpath trails, and a couple of good restaurants. I really enjoyed my visit.

Started here for the train ride thru the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The parking lot isn't very big, but there is an overflow lot nearby. The seats were comfortable, but thankfully it wasn't too crowded. Seems like leg room may be an issue if someone is sitting across from you. And If you buy alcohol on the train, you must drink it on the train... can't take it with you?? It is an enjoyable ride with some enjoyable sights along the way

Started here for the train ride thru the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The parking lot isn't very big, but there is an overflow lot nearby. The train is so cool and retro and its like you are riding on history. Obviously inside is a little outdated seats are very close to each other especially across. Just a heads up if you don't take up one whole compartment. Volunteers were very friendly. I would not call this scenic- most of the ride is trees and through town. However I feel like the railroad has stuck roots in the area that is important to its development and history, this is a must do.
