The room was okay. The TV was oddly placed which made it very difficult to watch. The pool was closed although when we booked it said they had an open pool. There was mold in the bathroom in our room and the cheap linoleum was lifting on 2 sides of the bathroom. The bed was very uncomfortable, probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The dining area for breakfast is very small and super busy. It was difficult to find a spot to sit and eat, and when the food was restocked, everyone swarmed the counter where the food was placed and it was like hunger games...food disappeared quick!

Wifi here was worthless. Bath tub leaked. Two (2) outlets in the kitchen didn't work. I had their most expensive 2 bedroom suite. Staff was the only good thing here. The free breakfast was subpar. For the price of the room, I expected a better experience.

Nice place. Comfortable beds. We got one of the suites and the full kitchen was nice but not really used by us. We did get woken up one night due to someone saying a fire alarm went off in our room. (It didnt)

I get that it’s a 2 star hotel, but it’s definitely not up to Marriott’s standards for the price. Place hasn’t been updated much since it was built, and the appliances and TV’s are especially outdated Update: my room is next to the mechanical room, which means that there’s a constant whistle/ high pitched noise droning on all day, and someone is doing some serious hammering in there as well. Had to go buy earplugs Update: wifi is very slow and randomly disconnects without warning

Wow! Amazing stay and the people are super friendly. Right next to a small pond with a good view. We stayed on the 3rd floor and loved it here. Everything was right in the area. You could walk to restaurants if you wanted to. Will be staying again when we return from Thailand!

Friendly staff and very nice rooms. I liked having a real kitchen in my room and the breakfast in the morning was great.

We have stayed at quite a few hotels in the Sterling Heights area while visiting family and this has been our best stay by far. Janae (sorry if spelling is wrong) at the front desk was incredible. We were traveling with my dog and she made sure we were assigned a room close to an exterior door for potty breaks. There was an issue with the card reader on the door and she fixed it right away and came to our room to let us know personally. There is a nice grassy area behind the hotel where I could easily walk my dog and let her do her business. There was even a poop bag dispenser, so I didn't have to worry about how to pick up after my dog. The room was very clean and well kept. It even came with a full kitchen and dishwasher! Bed was very comfortable and sheets were soft and clean. We will definitely be returning to the TownePlace Suites for our next Michigan trip!

I left an important item in the room after I had checked out. Miss Dajohnna at the front desk was super helpful over the phone, she found my item and arranged to have it mailed to me, throughout the whole process she kept me updated and was very kind and professional!! Thank you!!! We stayed here 2 nights, the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. I would stay here again.

I was placed in a room that was already booked, then given the run around by the front desk clerk as if I double booked the room. The room was nice, but I my initial encounter was a negative one.

Dana is such a sweet and kind soul. From the moment we checked in till our last day, she made us feel welcomed and helped with our needs. This is the best customer service my boyfriend and I have experienced from a hotel receptionist. She’s the best and so joyful, thank you for an amazing stay!

Room was clean-ISH is the best I can say. Phone did not work & shower had mold in it. I write this as I lay awake at 3am listening to someone in the neighboring room snore, as walls are paper thin. Good for a very quick stay. Avoid for long term or anything important, like a wedding.

We stay with Marriott often due to work and relocations. This property has been the worst hotel we've ever stayed at!! Upon arrival we noticed the pool was closed even though it states that it is open on the website. Maintenance told us that it hasn't worked all season due to not being winterized properly last year. As we approached our room the halls and room itself smelled of an odor that we were unable to identify. It was a combination of a dirty gym sock and sweaty bodies. The room was dingy and dirty everywhere we looked. The carpets and furniture are stained. The bedding, which I'm convinced was not changed between guests, was filthy!! Blue paint stains and dirty edges are on the comforters. The toilet wouldn't flush and the tank wouldn't fill with water. We were having to use a pot to fill the tank to flush the toilet. Trying to get hot water to our room was a joke! We had to leave the water on for 15 minutes to get luke warm water for showering. We informed the front desk of all the issues over and over. The response from the front desk was that "due to covid we haven't been able to maintain our property the way we would like." There isn't a manager or maintenence on the grounds after 5pm. There is only one employee who's attitude about things was, oh well...so sorry this happened but there isn't anything I can do for you tonight. This is unacceptable on every level!!! Don't operate a hotel if you can't maintain it.

I stayed with a friend who was in town for the weekend. She had a stove, full size fridge and a kitchen counter/sink & microwave in her room. Loved it

The gentleman at the front desk could not have been nicer. He even called a half hour after we were in our room to be sure everything was to our liking. He was super busy with an irate caller when we walked in. I stepped out to give him some space for a bit and then came back to check in. He was very apologetic. The ADA bathroom was not ADA. There was no handrail to hold on to when getting up from the seat. The handrails were on the opposite side of the tub (?!). My husband was unable to shower for safety purposes. We stayed at the Dearborn hotel a week later and their bathroom was perfect.

Pillow cases and blankets were dirty upon arrival, but when I called the front desk they got me together. Breakfast was decent considering it's free. No complaints other than dirty linen. That's a nono.

The patrons are not the best but nobody is rude. Cleaning staff is polite and quiet when cleaning rooms. Pool is permanently close which is trash and the gym only has 3 cardio machines no weights. Other than that not too bad.

Rooms are in need of a little maintenance. Guests are constantly extremely loud outside of your windows at 12am and 6am. Staff was great though!

What a great room!!! Quiet but we shall see as the night goes on. Room is clean, bed is comfy as well as the pillows. And the one sofa has a stain of some sort. Bit cool even after turning the heat up, but still nice. If you have a service dog, heads up. People don't pick up after their pets and there's mega amounts of goose poop especially back behind the hotel. Great place to stay. We will be back for sure.

Booked a Queen Studio room for a long stay but very disappointed with the experience. Mattress was so uncomfortable and it sorts of sinks in into the middle and definitely did not feel like a queen sized too. Breakfast and staff were really good and courteous. Full size kitchen but they don’t supply cleaning essentials and even kitchen knife. Internet is DEAD SLOW. I got speeds of less than 1MBPS. Seriously what are you supposed to do with such speeds…

Decent stay but for the price you pay in room 113 they should take the extra effort and clean a little more. Ac unit completely dusty and needs deep cleaning, trash and debris behind couch and both night stands. Tile in bathroom coming up and the light doesn’t work above the desk.

Outside is nice but inside is outdated. TV in room doesn’t work. Mold and a few huge hairs in the bathtub. Nowhere near as nice as other towneplace suites. Not terrible but not great.

We were treated so well. After a horrible experience at another hotel close by, they were able to get us a room and save our vacation. The front desk girls were amazing. Linea ( sp ??) was kind and pleasant and so very helpful. They were very professional and gave great customer service.

Janae and the staff were very nice and helpful. Janae went out of her way to be helpful and accommodating. The only negative is the rooms could use some renovations.

Horrible experience. I checked in the 9th of december 2022, and the 10th i went for breakfast and i requested my right to depart at 4pm, i am entitled by MARRIOTT terms and conditions that TITANIUM members have COMPULSORY 4pm check out ( except convention center and resorts but towneplace is not one of these) and she said because i didnt informed them the previous day they cant guve me any late check out because they have a group of people and they need to clean the room, i requested for the manager ( first shift) and she said she was the manager ( i dont know her name, nobody has a tag on their shirt, pretty unprofessional) and now they cant manage it, i discussed for 5 minutes saying that it s compulsory and im so sorry but i need to leave the room at 4pm. She said that she has the policies printed at the back and she refuses to give me late check out. I said i will call Marriott, she replied, i dont care, I called Marriott Loyalty team from titanium members, and they called her... 5 minutes later they said they can give me 3pm check out. Do u see how u care now? Do i have to threaten u to call Marriott and u accept late check out when they force u only? Rude, unprofessional and horrible service. If she is really an assistant manager or shift manager you guys seriously think twice how you manage your hotel because it s not acceptable to be playing games and threaten to call loyalty team to do what she needed to do from the beginning. Management of this hotel please teach URGENTLY your employees your rules because even if you are a franchise, you MUST COMPULSORILY follow Marriott policies. AND DONT REPLY THIS COMMENT SAYING YOU ARE SORRY AND GIVE YOU ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY. RESPOND THIS WITH ACTIONS, NO WORDS.

Suite was from the 70s. Stove was dirty. Handles on cabinets dirty. Wasn't vacuumed. The staff were very nice & gave us another room which wasn't any better. We left without staying.

Very nice place to meet up with family for a couple of nights. Our bed was comfortable, the desk staff kind and helpful, and the breakfast, while limited, was more than adequate. Well done!

When we arrived, our room was not available but they gave us two rooms at a great price. So we were very pleased and appreciated them making us happy. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was very kind and friendly. We would definitely stay again!!
