Not worth $200 for a simple king bed room, extremely small.. not well lit.. very visibly dirty and unclean, felt gross having to sleep in the bed. it was 40 degrees out in the middle of winter yet somehow the room was incredibly warm and the ac never brought the temp down. Walls are super thin, heard people in the hallway all night. Didn't expect anything crazy but wow it was just dirty.. the floors were hard and old. Very clearly outdated. The bed was so old and hard and creaky.. even the bedding and pillows were really old. Felt sketched out that they took my card but never asked for my ID.. thought it was policy to ID anyone checking into a hotel.. I felt really put off about that.

First night stayed in room 119, very comfortable, nice shower with no tub. Check in was a breeze, room was spotless. Second night, we were slated for room 114, but some degenerates in the room next to us were hotboxing their room and ours started to smell like an ashtray. Caleb at the counter was quick to bump us to a different room, where we got a peaceful night sleep. Caleb is the GOAT.

I am grateful for the front desk service of Caleb and the Manger I had the pleasure of meeting. It is the only aspect of our stay that brought a smile to our face. The Hampton name normally is indicative of a higher quality stay and accommodations but there are certainly opportunities to improve upon at this location. The breakfast buffet was less than what we've experienced in our travels. One outstanding moment for me was when I went to the front desk and asked for additional towels and hand clothes and was told that wouldn't be possible because it was the weekend. I wasn't aware of this location and when we return to the metro Detroit area, we will be looking at other accommodations.

The rooms are a little smaller then other Hamptons I have stayed at but they are clean and updated. The staff was so very nice and friendly! I got almost 2 hours away when I realized I forgot something very important and valuable in the room. I called the front desk and explained. They found it, and called be back to let me know it would be waiting at the desk for me. The staff is amazing.

This place was TERRIBLE. If it wasn't daytime when I was sitting in the room and smelled exhaust, I would probably have not woke up. A trunk with a trailer was idling right by our first floor window. The air conditioner was pulling in the exhaust. When I told the staff she wasn't concerned at all. I told her how lucky the hotel was that my husband and I didn't die from carbon monoxide poisoning. Again, I don't think she even believed me. I used to like Hampton Inns. NOT ANYMORE. They have went way DOWN IN A QUALITY STAY. PEACE OUT HAMPTON...✌

This use to be my favorite hotel. Not anymore I'll never stay here again. It's been awhile since I've stayed here. They use to have the most comfortable beds. Not anymore it was like sleeping on a slab of concrete. Back to the Holiday Express for me

This hotel is an amazing stay! The room was so clean, and the towels smelled like fresh laundry. They even did a fun little stamp on the toilet paper. The lobby was clean, the elevator was clean. I'm very impressed. Breakfast was amazing both mornings, with a huge variety of options (including red velvet waffles!). It's right inside of a little plaza with an Aldi, Target, and a Planet Fitness in walking distance which was great for us. The staff have all been amazing, we have to come down here yearly from now on and will be booking this hotel every time!

Rooms are nice.. Just can NEVER get the room that's advertised an paid for!!! There's ALWAYS an excuse NEVER any accommodation!!! I paid for a suite an was stuck in a tiny double bed an told oh well on my kids 16th birthday!!!! An was charged a 50$ fee that they will be refunding!!! Terrible service, They could have tried to fix the issue!! But it was a hard no an go!!!! The man didn't care!!! Can clearly tell it's not his business he just works there ..... But hopefully not for long!!! An he was rude, told me to get my steps when I asked about an elevator as if he was trying to insinuate that I'm fat or needed to work out!!!!

Our return trip to this hotel was good. We were here in May of 2023. Friendly desk service continues. The room was comfortable and clean enough. I guess I expect just a little more when I choose the Hilton name. Housekeeping would do well to pay attention to the little details and report needed repairs to maintenance. We stayed for 5 nights and didn't need to request housekeeping. Upon our arrival, the bed skirt was too short on one side and a trip hazard on the other side. This was a handicap room. There are some obvious spots on the carpet that need attention. The shears were torn and one of the curtain handles was broken off. A couple of extra coffee pods and bath towels would have been a nice touch, since we were reserved for 5 nights. (The coffee bags for the in room coffee maker were too big and caused a bit of a mess for us.) The oatmeal was soupy every day. Our first morning there, the oatmeal was not edible. It was uncooked water and oats soup. The young male attendant was leaning against the counter nearby and very involved with his phone. Not a great look for a customer service person in an active area. The breakfast looked good, with the usual choices. This is a nice place to stay and the area is good. Positives - very nice reception staff Negatives - I just expected a bit higher standard from a Hampton Inn. I would still recommend this hotel as one of the best in the area. Over all, a really good stay! Thank you!

I would give (most) of the staff five stars, but the rest of the experience was a three. Our room had several issues: the sink wouldn't drain, the shower doors wouldn't slide open/close (came off tracks), the blackout currents were off their hooks, and the bathroom door didn't fully close. Additionally, I used the fitness center while I was here, and there were also several issues: no dumbbells lower than 15 lbs were available, 20s were missing, and the 25 and 35 lbs dumbbells only had one each. There were also no towels for use, and the Peloton bike was not level and required cleats instead of cages (like many other Hilton properties have). Lastly, I mentioned that most of the staff were five stars because almost everyone went out of their way to greet/acknowledge us except the person who checked us out. I informed this person of the issues with our stay, and not only did he not apologize, but he didn't write down any of the problems with the room and seemed not to care at all. I visit this area often but won't stay here again.

Total scam! Booked a room for 2 nights through the reservation desk. Was given a bogus confirmation #. Staff said it was booked through Priceline, for 1 night (wrong nite) & the confirmation # was bogus. Never went through Priceline! Would not have even known this if I didn't call the hotel the next day to make sure my room was close to an outside door. Manager told me that there was nothing he could do because the confirmation # I had didn't match & they had me down for only 1 night, neither of the the nights I had requested. Was told to contact Priceline, which of course was a scam. I had to cancel my credit card & try to book reservation again directly through the hotel. Told staff that the scam website was still up, directly below correct site showing picture of same hotel. Staff was EXTREMELY rude to me! I will never stay there with Staff that all treats you like you are a nuisance & they are not interested in this scam. Do NOT go here unless you want to go through weeks of changing your credit card, going through fraud claim & treated with complete disrespect!!!

When checking in the Hotel the Reservation was reserved in my name and I wanted to change it to my husband name, I had to go get my ID which was unnecessary. Since the HH was in his name. Once checked we in we told our rooms would be cleaned on the 4th day. We could as for clean towels.if needed. We were staying for 5 days / 4 nights. Next we asked for a Handicapped Room, we got put on the Third Floor. I'm on Oxygen and I use a Walker. (1) Once in this Supposedly Handicapped Room I Observed the (2) Shower there was only One Handicapped Metal Bar in it ,(3) No Seat In It. I Couldn't Stand in the Shower very Long without the Assistance of my Husband for failure of falling. (4) The Supposedly Handicapped Toilet was a Regular that had to little Post Added to the Seat to Raise it. (5) I got Charge a Different Price every Night on My Credit Card for my Stay. This is my 1st Stay at a Hampton Inn that was so Terrible and Fraudulent. I'll never stay here Again. HAVE SOMEONE TEACH THIS OWNER OF THIS HILTON WHAT HANDICAPPED SHOWER AND TOILET REALLY IS. Oh we do have Pictures of the Bathroom

I stayed in this hotel on August 2nd. I exclusively stay at Hilton brand hotels, usually Hampton Inns. The room I was given seemed smaller than normal, but I was ok with that since I was travelling alone. I did encounter an issue while I was there that was very unsettling. I brought it to the attention of the desk clerk during check out, because it was when I awoke that the issue was discovered, and while he asked what I would like done he explained he didn't have the authority to make any concessions and would let the manager know. Today is August 23rd and I have not even received a call from the manager or an email. I promised I wasn't going to advertise this issue or make a huge concern over it because it could be very detrimental to this location. As I said, I love Hampton Inns, but this one has disappointed me very much. I will keep my word and not advertise the issue, but I will never stay at this location again and it has made it very difficult for me to consider my loyalty to the Hilton brand.

It's a nice place but housekeeping needs to clean a little better. There were no blankets in the room for the hide a bed and it's mattress pad smelled like urine bad. The pool and hot tub were amazing. The noise factor wasn't so good. Don't report to front desk cause the gentleman that was on shift did nothing about it. The 2nd floor smelled like a weed dispensary and they said there's nothing they can do about the smell cause it lingers, bull crop. I use to smoke weed and it doesn't linger that long unless your smoking in the room which they were. I use to be a housekeeper and manager and I know the name of the game. I will return tho cause the manager was amazing and very concerned.

Our room wasn't ready. We had towels for 2 but there were 3 in our room. Apparently, this is no longer a full service hotel, so cleaning only happens every 4 days. We had to request it and then they didn't come You have to take your dirty towels to the front desk to get clean ones. Since they don't clean the rooms, people were putting their trash in the hallways because the one trash can on our floor was constantly full. When housekeeping did come, she took the bottoms of my brand new swimsuit. They said they couldn't find them in the laundry area. So I had to spend $25 on suit bottoms at Target. The hot tub jets only work in half the hot tub. Two mornings they ran out of coffee during breakfast and the kitchen staff was nowhere to be found. The rooms were run down with holes in the mismatched lampshades and the mattress was like sleeping on concrete. Not sure where the famous Hilton beds are but they sure weren't here. This place has really gone downhill since the last time we stayed. We won't be going back.

I accidentally booked with chesterfield instead of Detroit due to personal reasons and family member in the hospital. I do not do elevators I booked for two days showed up at 9:00 at night due to getting lost and going to wrong hotel. Anyways Mel carried my stuff in the elevator and to my room while I took the stairs. That was so amazing of her. After two nights I ended up having to book one more night after I checked out and I did and I was in a king room on 4th floor and ended back up there again and I told the other lady I can’t do the elevators due to panic attacks if she would just let me load my stuff on ot and she ride up with it and she said I can do you one better I can switch your room to the first floor. The staff was absolutely amazing rooms were so clean and anything I needed they had my back. I highly recommend this place. I booked through Expedia and got it way cheaper then going straight through the hotel. Mel and I never got the other ladies name deserve to be recognized. I can’t wait to go back on better circumstances and stay there again ❤️❤️❤️

Hotel is clean and personal at check in friendly. My big complaint is they close the breakfast before 9:30. Why? My guess save money and screw over the guest. Welcome to post covid. I wont stay here again. Way more hotels in the area that are far superior for the price.

Nice hotel on a very busy street. Access out of the hotel to the main street can be difficult at times. Great staff. Friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Rooms are great. Breakfast was just mediocre at best but doable.

I’m glad I chose to stay at the Hampton Inn. The desk receptionist was very polite upon our arrival. She was knowledgeable and answered every question I had. The rooms were clean and the complementary breakfast gave it an added bonus. I would definitely stay here again when I’m in town.

Quiet, nice rooms. While checking in I added another night, which caused hotel charges to appear oddly on my card. The person at the front desk left a note for the hotel manager. And later that day, after entering my room for the night, the hotel manager called me on my room phone. It's been so many years since I heard a landline ring that I sort of stood there a moment, thinking someone had previously set an alarm! (Of course my entry with my key card alerted the manager that I was in my room.) The manager kindly and patiently explained the billing situation. Very friendly and professional staff. I'll stay here again, when work brings me back in town. Thank you for the terrific service and stay!

Superb staff, very helpful! We had a laundry list of requests, and they were happy to fulfill them all!! We will be back. Clean rooms, cozy patio/outdoor area. The hotel basically shares a parking lot with Target, Aldi, dollarstore, and TJMax

Decent area, poor service, never had a hotel that failed to provide shampoo and when asked for, “sorry, we’re out”. Also. Treadmills in the small gym are a safety hazard, they aren’t tensioned correctly and nearly fell on one because it kept stopping when my feet hit the belt, then it would speed up and trip me up. Overall, I would definitely not book a stay here if you have the choice. Obviously they don’t care enough about service/safety.

The manager (I believe his name Aarick) was a great guy, very helpful and understanding. Everyone at this location was very friendly. The rooms were a bit dated but we really enjoyed our stay here. The place was quiet and somewhat secluded. I would highly recommend.

The staff was friendly. The hotel lost power due to a storm for over 4 hours. Regardless of no power we were treated very nicely by the staff. Only 1 complaint were children running the halls at 1:30 am thru 2:30 am and their chaperones did nothing to quiet them.

A friend stayed here from out of town. She had an awful experience. Room floor was squishy wet, pool so overcrowded she had to leave, even wet urine on the in room sofa cushion. She does not recommend at all.

I have been to multiple hotels this week and this one was not good. When we entered the hotel it smelled like weed, the hallways were dirty on both 1 and 4th floor, Our first room smelled like smoke, so they moved us to a second room that had faucet issues. Breakfast was a disappointment. Overall not happy with this hotel at all.

We came up for a funeral , on our 3rd night we got a bigger room on the second floor. The desk has a sticky film on the top of the desk , the bathroom has a huge crack in the ceiling , the the floor seems dirty had to ware house shoes because floor was dirty. We found clipped toenails on the floor , had to have the front desk manager come to our room to vacuum at 1:30 in the morning of our check in. Made complaints to the front desk about the loud noises above us sounding like they where stomping and running around until 1:30 to 2 am in the morning we were not able to get any rest. They offered us another room but we declined because we didn't want to have to move our stuff in the middle of the night after our daughter finally feel asleep.

  • 5/5 Tiffany M. 1 year ago on Google
The staff was so nice, room was clean and even though there were some minor issues they went above and beyond to make us comfortable and apologize for any inconveniences. The 2nd floor did smell like weed though, and I was charged a pet fee for my first night even though my dog is a registered service dog and I showed them documentation.

  • 5/5 Barbara J. 1 year ago on Google
Nice, clean, quiet hotel with pleasant, friendly staff. Construction in the area was a pain. Brief overnight trip but it was a quiet room even though we were close to the elevator, with comfortable bed and pillows, slept great!

  • 1/5 Cheryl H. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed in room 239, king suite for 4 nights. First night, the room was in order, but it did not take long for the bed bugs to come out. They bit the back of our legs, forming welts. In addition, the room above us had heavy feet, sounding just like a drum set, as we tried to sleep. The bed was worn out and the springs were poking our backs, while on our vacation. No avail when we tried to let the front desk know of our concerns, to try another room. Very unhappy with our stay. When we got home and called the hotel, they did not follow up, hence this review. Would not recommend.
