I was submitted to the hospital on 10/14/23 for lower back pain. Transported by EMT where I was given an IV and pain killers. The nurse at HF introduced herself to me, and then, I was left in the hallway for over 3 hours before anyone checked on me. I was then transferred to a room where the same nurse told me that she left me in the hallway because, "she was eating." I asked for water and waited but did not receive it until 7 hours later. The only time I had water was in a 2 oz cup to take my medication in which it was provided to me from the room sink. I was telling the resident doctor that I still have pain and he responded by saying, "we only have x-ray to offer and nothing else." Later that night he submitted me for a CT Scan. 2-3 days after I was discharged, I began to feel pain in my arm where the IV was initially placed, and then it started to get worse. I called my Physician, and was told that it can be normal irritation due to IV needle. I told him that I'm in so much pain to where I can barely move my arm and I even suggested that it might be a blood clot. Instead of sending to the ER, I was told to wait till the next day for a zoom call to see what's going on with me. It felt like it was not priority. I was seen at the office and they looked at it and still believed that it was an irritation, but I insisted that it was more than just an irritation. Upon my request, I was submitted for an Ultra sound and they gave me an appointment for next day. The results showed 2 blood clots in my arm. The Ultra sound staff informed me that I shouldn't be released and usually, patients with blood clots should be submitted to ER. but this was not the case. The Doctor's office informed the Ultra sound staff to release me and no one suggested me to get dropped off, instead I was let go even though I didn't feel that I was ready. Due to my diagnoses, I temporarily can’t go back to work, and support my family. With 2 blood clots that were caused by ignorance, thank God I'm still alive.

I was here with my 91 year old mother at 8pm waiting till 12:40 with 5 people still ahead of us. My mom was not feeling well at all and these emergency nurses don’t do anything at all to make her feel any better. I asked for a blanket because she was cold and I was waiting 40 minutes for one. I asked again and got yelled at by one of the nurses in the front, they all have attitude and don’t respect anyone who comes in! We are suppose to just shut up sit down and wait to be seen. Horrible. Not to mention that my mom doesn’t speak English either and they told me that once they call her I wouldn’t be able to go back with her even though she has dementia. I’ve heard many stories like this and I don’t want to experience the end result of my mom dying. These nurses do NOT care about us at this hospital. End result was leaving and not having my mom seen after 4 and a half hours of waiting and she was coughing up her lungs. Never. Come. Here.

I don’t leave negative reviews as I generally understand people can have a bad day but from the woman at the front desk, to the nurses on the ICU floor, the lack of kindness and compassion we experienced at this hospital was incomprehensible. And it wasn’t just us, we witnessed the callousness towards others as well. Really disappointed that my loved one is in this facility and am genuinely concerned for her care. Any other hospital in the area is better.

I go out of my way to come to this ER. sometimes it's busy, sometimes it's not. it's the best care I can get to FAST... I'd rather die than call 911 and end up at Ascension hospital on 12 and Hoover.. unfortunately the closest hospital to me... there is also a Henry Ford hospital in Sterling Heights.. it is slightly closer to me.. Macomb ER for the win #IAMHENRYFORD

This was the worst hospital visit I've ever had. I was there from 7:00 p.m. Wednesday until 2:00 p.m. the next day. I was admitted with numbness in my shoulder in my neck and a lot of pain in my back. I was denied my pain medication that I've been taking for 7 years by my nurse and she was going around ignoring me. I did not go in there asking for any pain medication except for what I was prescribed. So instead she gave me two Tylenol. My pain level in my back was a 7-8. She told me it was a lot of faxing then I asked again an hour later if she sent the fax and she said "no you'll be fine". So I went all day and all night with level 8 pain in my back. I would not trust this nurse to know what to do if I had a stroke or heart attack. I would probably be dead because of her incompetence. I am very unhappy and it was a very unpleasant stay. Because the nurse was deliberately and purposely not giving me my prescribed medication. I wish I could talk to someone and tell them who she was. She needs to be spoken to and assigned some kind of classes that consist of how medication is distributed and sensitive training. She needs to be pulled to the side or into an office and spoken to. She was the nurse distributing medications in the ER critical observation room 5-6. I was in bed 6 on July 21st at 1:30 p.m. I am just upset because she is the reason I was in so much pain all day and all night last night. All because of her ignorance.

If I can give this hospital zero stars I would have. Night shift nurse was very forceful with my 4 year old daughter and was charged nearly $1,200 for Tylenol & Motrin not including hospital bill. I have chosen to have everything investigated and in return they are now pretending that my daughter was injected with a steroid which is a complete lie. Watch out for Dr. Keith Chronavich as he likes to over bill you for no treatment let alone see the patient.

I’m very disappointed in the services I had after having a major surgery. No one helped me to the bathroom, I was dismissed constantly. I almost fell a few times trying to get to the bathroom. No one checked on me often especially needed. Asked for food after surgery didn’t eat till the following day after complaining about asking different people. I requested a supervisor and advocate which no one provided. Later I met with the nurse supervisor and she helped me before she left, after that I was around a lot of lazy inconsiderate people including my Dr. (Faulkner) male assistant who was supposed to be filling in for her. I only saw my Dr once. This needs to be addressed. No one should wait over a hr to use the bathroom!!!! No help and my rights was violated!!

What happened to the healthcare system? I rushed my husband to the ER seeking help only for us to leave AMA. INTAKE was quick, but behind those double doors, you'll see tons of patients in beds in the hallway with no help. My hubby was left in the hallway for hours in pain and agony. Every time he called out for help or tried to get a nurses attention by saying "excuse me" they just ignored him. There is a lack of humanity and compassion. He was throwing up blood and in so much pain. They took hours to even hook him up to an IV. His pain was untreated. We're one bad experience away from calling a lawyer on all these hospitals we've been to due to medical malpractice and negligence. DO BETTER.

If I could give 0 stars I would!! Nurse ratchet from hell with zero compassion in the emergency room should find another job. It is currently 11:30 pm and a woman has been here since 7:30 waiting to go back. The hallways are lined with people waiting to be seen. They won’t let loved ones go back! This place is a mess, but all hospitals are since covid. What is happening to our health system? We are watching it collapse!!

I am writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with my recent ER visit. Waiting for 7 hours without receiving the needed medical attention is utterly unacceptable. This experience reflects poorly on the efficiency and effectiveness of your ER services. Immediate action is required to address these issues and improve the quality of patient care. I cannot believe also how rude the staff is, all these fake 5 star ratings is mind blowing to me. So many people left because they couldn’t wait because roughly every 3 hours a person gets in. I mean this is outrageous, no way any person who has a problem has to wait hours and hours on end just to be told that they are behind 3 people. After waiting 7 hours, and get this when we first asked how many people were in front of us it was 12, guess how many got in? None! They just left. Because they have been there hours before, with no help or service.

By far the worst of the worst! Grandmother was admitted via ambulance to hospital for a heat attack and medical power of attorney (my mother) was 5 hours away and she tried to contact the hospital multiple times over a 24 hour period and hospital would not give an update to her. They continued to say the nurse would call back within 15 minutes. They NEVER did. Keep in mind the proper paperwork for the medical power of attorney is on file at the hospital. How would the hospital staff feel if their mother/grand mother was in the hospital and you couldn't get an update of she was alive or dead! Totally unprofessional, this isn't the first time we've had issues with this hospital. Most of my family are in the medical field and we do respect the challenges they deal with but this hospital is a total joke. Avoid at all costs!

My fiance has been in the ER for almost 24 hours. Just left in a hallway and "waiting for a room" when its obvious there aren't enough. Was awaiting tests but was not told they could only be done in the morning. Asked for Tylenol at 9pm but was not given any until 3am because the nurse kept forgetting. When it did come, the nurses were very accusatory regarding the relief of pain when all she asked for was Tylenol. She is not under restrictions from Tylenol. Has not seen or talked to the Dr to get a plan together or to have some idea what is going on. And they wont let family in because she doesn't have a room we all know she will not get. I understand being too full but these should be common practices in patient care. She should have an idea of what's happening.

Actually Minus 10 stars for leaving a retired HFH employee with stage 4 cancer too weak to walk and confused from the cancer, suffering, left in the hallway in ER since Thursday June 1, 2023 for almost 2.5 DAYS before getting him in a room SaturdayJune 3rd, after 7 pm. This is despicable and unacceptable. If my mother didn't speak up and keep hounding the ER doctors and staff, he would still be there. They took patients to rooms before him that came in AFTER him. Completely disgraceful for this hospital. We understand there is a nursing shortage but this Neglect is beyond shameful and unacceptable. Shame on you Henry Ford Hospital Macomb. Shame on you managing directors of the ER for allowing this. I hope someone with authority sees this review. I will be bringing this up to a board member.

Unprofessional and discriminatory. I came to this ER for intense stomach pain. I was honest at receiving and told them I was a cannabis user but didn't know the amount consumed. (It was less than 1g daily) The rookie physician who saw me had zero bedside manner and said I was in pain because of my "drug use". She said it was a drug related intestinal disease without having any evidence to back it up. I was clearly not having pain in my intestines. My UA and CBC were clear and no other tests were ordered. I was released without any treatment and later diagnosed elsewhere with a stomach ulcer from Ibuprofen overuse during menstruation.

I understand hospitals are busy but this was a awful experience. Got there at 3 pm. Didn't get in back until 8 pm. They drew blood in waiting area. I don't think she knew what she was doing. She ended up with my blood every where. She cleans it up not wearing gloves. I waited for test that the nurse didn't do. Because 2 hours later Dr stopped in and I asked how much longer she said she would check. Then less than 5 mins later nurse came in to draw more blood. So we waited hours again. A new Dr came in to say I could go home. Never told a real diagnosis . Then we had to wait over 40 minutes to be discharged. Not w it is 2 am . When we left wait room was full. If they had not wasted so much time they would have been able to discharge me at least 2 hours before. Another person or 2 could have been seen in that time. Everyone one they was treated rudely. They even were treating some people in the waiting room. Where did our privacy rights go?

I recently had my baby at Henry Ford Macomb. I ended up with an emergency C-Section after very long labor. My husband and I ended up staying 4 days, which is not ideal. I can honestly say the doctors, residents and nurses were awesome! We saw probably 10 different nurses and couldn’t say one bad thing about them. Everyone was so helpful and really attentive and made us feel so comfortable. We had our baby on Easter which was also my birthday! The nurses went out of their way and made me a cake and sang happy birthday! I appreciated that more than they will ever know. Thank Henry Ford for making us feel so comfortable.

I had to leave one star to get to the comment section otherwise it would’ve been a -10. I just drove an hour to see my brother who is in inpatient rehab and although there are signs posted that there is one visitor allowed in the gym, I was not allowed in and now I’m waiting an hour and a half doing nothing. The therapist herself sent the tech over to inform me of this. I recommend to anyone in this area to not go to this hospital and I highly recommend Troy Beaumont. Care and customer service there exceeded our expectations and their therapy staff wanted and encouraged family at every session. Do not go to HF McComb!

My wife got sent there for an ultrasound and the admitted to the ER for a blood clot in her shoulder after waking up with a swollen arm. 12 hours later still on a gurney in the hallway with very little attention, no communication on when she can get a room. No food, no iv drip, just a haperin drip. Shame on this hospital for over admittance. They just want insurance money. Very sub standard care for when people are in need. Never will choose HF again.

This about the worst hospital in Macomb County. I think you would get better treatment in a jail cell than this place. They staff are rude and literally smart a**. No bedside matters at all. The nurse Sharlesha who had my husband as her patient made him wait hours to get a IV, the hours to get some pain meds. Never check on him and when I called to speak to her about his care and pain meds she had the audacity to say I will get to it when I can. Really! I’ve been in the medical field way over 20 years and would never treat any patient like she has. I don’t even know how she is even a nurse. This treatment will be reported and complaints made first this Monday morning.

Unprofessional. Staff are not scheduled properly, then overworked with no OSHA mandated breaks provided. Dangerous for patients. Avoid if possible. Do you want a half asleep nurse or tech working on you? I don’t. OSHA needs to shut this place down. UPDATE: @Henry Ford Macomb.... Funny, you can quickly respond to the review of a google guide, but can't respond to your employees in a timely fashion....or, at all. SMH. Be professional. Also, OSHA has already been notified. To the public: Take you insurance and tax dollars elsewhere. There are plenty of better options for you and your loved ones. #Fail. Hey dumbphucks try paying your employees on time! This just gets better and better lol. Where’d all that cOvId money go?!

I'm not a hospital person, I have worked around them for years. What happened today is unreal. Surgery was scheduled at 515 am, my husband had a polyp removed and his appendix. His surgery was complete at 10am. I am sitting in the lounge, 5 minutes to 5pm with no room for him.The surgery was scheduled yet no one can get him a bed, Brooke has no answers in Patient services...so this is acceptable simply because my hands are tied. This is a joke.

Worst place ever. No humanity no nothing. Waited 7 hours, couldn’t even get a room, they just pushed us to the back of the line. A girl was screaming and moaning about her pain and the nurses did not CARE at all. I understand there are protocols in place, but it’s disgusting how they couldn’t even ask her how she was. They just left her on the floor and didn’t help her until an hour later. Pathetic place full of pathetic staff members. Honestly, I hope the staff feels shameful for their incompetence. You’d think going to school for so long would increase brain activity, not decrease it and make you a horrible person. Whatever though. Perhaps it’s our fault for coming here—shouldn’t have expected anything more from a place rated 2.3 stars!

They don’t deserve one star. We couldn’t make an appointment for an MRI until we spoke to the pricing department since we were paying out of pocket. After waiting a month for this appointment, we were asked if we would sign a financial waiver the night before the procedure. We told the rep we had already received pricing, she then told us that wasn’t all that was going to be charged! What was the point of calling the pricing department if they didn’t give a detail of what we would be charged until THE NIGHT BEFORE. You want a waiver signed so that you can charge an obscene amount of money. These hospitals are nothing but crooks!!

Waited in the waiting room for 1.5 hrs. They were treating patients in office cubicles in the waiting room. I overheard the nurse practitioner who was treating a patient provide the wrong dose of medication. The pharmacist called her on the phone to correct her. Finally when we got called back to the ER the person who escorted us back didn’t say two words to us, assigned us to a hallway bed and we waited another 1.5 hrs before anyone acknowledged we were there. The same nurse practitioner who screwed up the other patient’s medicine came to see us. She would barely listen to what we were saying. She said she wasn’t sure what was wrong and wanted to prescribe steroids and ibuprofen. I demanded imaging first before masking the problem. She had to consult the Dr. Thankfully the Dr. was much better. Listened to our concerns, looked up medical history and explained things thoroughly. Also, was very disturbing listening to the nurses mocking the elderly patients and saying “ughh what does he want now.” Very unprofessional!

This is the worst hospital in Michigan. The bedside RN Kaylee on 46 north couldn't give me a history on my mom. She gave me miss information. She didn't do an assessment after my mom complained of chest pain. I can go on and on about this matter. This Hospital doesn't show care and compassion for their patient's. Please take your love ones to another hospital before something tragic happens

Had to take my wife to the ER here yesterday Arrived at 11:45am Thought I was in a third world country! Patients being treated in the public waiting area. After waiting to get called back we observed patients and there families being treated in in all the hallways. We were lucky to get a room but they put a gentleman outside our room with Covid. We knew that because we could hear everything being said in the hallways When in the room they come in do a procedure then you don’t see anybody for hrs. My wife had to be admitted she was take to her room at 4am the next morning 16 hours later I know ERs are busy but there is a huge need for improvement here!

My Mom went here with issues walking, it turned out to be brain cancer, but they wouldn't say what kind, and what the prognosis was. The rehabilitation doctor wouldn't even talk to us. Never returned calls,,, Never, not once. And they have a Hospitalist that would call, but he was useless. He would just say, "I don't know, I'm not a rehabilitation dr, or an oncologist" They were very good at keeping her for all medicare would pay, then she died 2 days after leaving. Good staff, terrible communication from doctors, really good food, and a terrible system of confusion so you can't contact anybody.... Patient Advocate was useless, Hospitalist was worse than useless (maybe the lest empathic and most fake person I have ever met). The way everyone acted, you just got a feeling that the doctors were just avoiding us, like maybe that's the how the place is run. Really odd.

My mom lay in the hospital on 11/29 second floor from a blood clot and the nurse on the 7am-7pm shift was rude and condescending to me. She was not professional at all. She needs to learn to check her attitude at the door before she sees a dying patient and family members. She needs to be retrained or let go. This is a very difficult time for me and her bedside manner to me and at times, my mother, who she was treating her trying to locate a vein to draw blood. and kept poking at my mom as if she was a human pin cushion. It was not good at all.

I had the best possible experience. I went in for surgery October 3rd, 2023. I was the first one on the schedule, arrival time at 6 am. The moment I reached the front desk, they took me back to registration. I went directly from registration to pre-op. The nurse was kind and quick. Doctor Carlin visited before surgery and was so kind and attentive to my nerves. After surgery, I had the absolute BEST nurse. Her name is Bri, and I swear she is the best nurse there. She was kind and encouraging, and gentle and observant. She helped me every step of the way. She cheered me on when I took my walks down the hall. She helped me when I requested to shower for comfort. It was my first overnight stay at a hospital and honestly it couldn’t have gone better. My team was stellar.

Part 1 Obviously this Er just dont even care about their public perception because people keeping leaving bad reviews and they don't change their services. I believe my experience was because of the color of my skin. I never pull the race card, always giving people the benefit of doubt. Living 54 years.. This life changing experience started at a local St John Hospital Er the night before I went to Henry Ford ER 19 mile Rd.....I was seen for a painful salvia stone. The pain was so bad I had to return to the St John Er the next morning after being seen the night before but St. John Hospital's Er had a 3 hour wait when I returned the next morning. I should've waited. I then went to Henry Ford Er 19 mile where after a 45 minute wait I was placed in the hallway of the Er. Little did I know it would be for the next 10 plus hours, being promised a room when one became available....after 3 hours and a blood bath during my I V insertion, I was given 4 mg of morphine after being see by Dr. I wasn't even asked my pain score until I was about to be discharged....my pain was never controlled They didn't care about me. I watched person after person come in and out the rooms while I was left In the hallway....with no concern for hippa laws, the staff was loud enough for me or anyone else to hear the private personal conditions and information, dates of birth of all different patients, this was done without any hippa regards. At first there were others in the hallway but they all were discharged while I was the only patient in the hallways for hours, and hours no one ever returned to join me in the hallway...My nurse would sometimes pass me like I was just an empty bucket. Put in the hallway. Dehydrated from days of not eating or drinking I asked for fluids twice...I was NEVER given any fluids later, cramping up induced more pain. A Ct scan was given off my neck, the second one in 24 hours. I had in my possession my discharge papers and a Ct scan results from the St John Er which was from less than 24 hours earlier....these were given to my Henry Ford Er Dr. The papers was a complete report on the size of the stone and other medical Information included a descriptions of the Large size of the stone.... I was ordered to take another Ct scan anyway. Later I was told the reason why I couldn't leave, was the CT scan wasn't back. I needed to leave because my pain wasn't under control and the cramps were making thing worse.I knew this was BS because the same scan had been performed the night before and it was back in less than a hour.... I felt Iike I was just being push down the list as more people arrived In the Er. Then again this ER was the worst of all Er's...The pain shot had long warn off before I received another shot which was toradol and this shot didn't move the needle on my pain, and wasn't given to me until the end of my 10-12 hour stay. So why wasn't my pain controlled ? Why did I end up the hallway for 10 plus hours? Why wasn't my wife of 25 plus years allowed to come back with me? As I saw children allowed to go to see there love ones in the hallway and a Mother sit with her young adult daughter as well, in the same hallway. Are Covid Er restrictions still in place? That's how I felt...Why wasn't I given fluids when I requested them? Why was I placed directly across from a busy smelly restroom for 10 plus hour? Why was I not given a room as promised? Why was I poked 3 times with my vain being blown all three times and the nurse fished for a vain as the needle was inserted in the arm and while probing my blood poured out my arm? Well at least I think I can answer the last question. The third poke had all the trouble because the nurse was withdrawing the blood from a cramped area after pulling the bed from the wall in the hallway and she slid between the wall and my arm, just a bad angle to make a third attempt. Even though as I stated no fluids where ever given The final rhetorical question is why was I made to stay in these conditions waiting on a cat scan.......

I was very disappointed. Came in 5 days post op for terrible pain & the nurses want to try to diagnose the issue in triage, condescendingly telling me that the pain is “catching up with me” which is just ridiculous. I sat in the waiting room for an hour and wasn’t seen so I left. Seemed to me that the nurses gate-keep healthcare by an actual doctor if they don’t feel your condition is an emergency. Thankful my emergency surgery was performed at a different hospital because this place is a mess.

When I found my mom unresponsive and called 911 they brought her here. Big mistake. They only cared about her Seizure she had while on the table, not the whole reason she was unresponsive to begin with. I'm actually glad they didn't have any ICU beds available here because it gave us a reason to transfer to Beaumont where she received proper treatment. This was not our first negative experience here either, this ER is trash! Go here if you want to die because that is what will happen. I wish 0 stars was an option.

I was taken to the hospital because of an allergic reaction. I waited 3 hours and was dismissed every time I asked. Then I saw them letting in other people. A lady that was wearing blue sitting down behind the desk was very very rude. I ended up leaving I just think this hospital not only needs to be cleaner it also needs to have more respectful staff and a better schedule. There is no reason I’m being told there are no rooms available when like 5 people left so that means at least 1 room should be open. Very disappointed and annoyed.

Horribly bad lower abdomen pain and I waited 6 hours in the ER lobby. Other people I had talked to said they had been there half the day. During my time waiting a whopping 5 people in the waiting room made it back. Does this hospital not care? How about hiring more staff? It's called an emergency room for a very specific reason. Left and drove to Beaumont Troy, and waited 57 mins. I have been going to Henry Ford my entire life. That's about to change.

Came to the ER last night and had to be admitted overnight. My wait time in the ER lobby was roughly 4 hours but after that, I received great care from all the staff members that I encountered, all the way down to the transporters. Everyone was very friendly and as attentive as they could be with how busy it was. The room I stayed in overnight was clean and comfortable. Have to again say how happy I was with all the staff I encountered as they actually seemed to care about my well being and comfort. Caring people.

Doesn't even deserve one star. Before the pandemic I was in kidney failure and once in it required me to go here to check my electrolyte levels by blood work. I would be able to walk inside get register in 10 mins, in the bac 20 mins later and seen by a doctor. The last few times I have needed to make a visit there were 4 people in that lobby uet it still took them 45mins to get me registered and then I waited another 2.5 hours all the while not a single person was called back to see a doctor during that time. I had a problem today that was so bad I needed a ride and a wheelchair to sit in because I was so weak. I was registered within 15 mins and sat there for another 2.5 as 10 more people walked in and most were even called into the back. I sat next to their joke of a rapid treatment space which is in the wide open waiting room with zero privacy. There was a women who also required a wheelchair, came in after me and was sent to one of those beds, which i will point out needed a nurse to assist her into the bed. In that time I waited not a single nurse or doctor came back to see her...it was just sad. I left to seek better care from any other er expect this one...short of an ambulance rode, your going to spend a at least 4/5 hours in the waiting room. I'll also mention that another women, also requiring a wheelchair assist ask a nurse how long the wait would be and my floor dropped with her reply "your very low priority right now mam." How disgusting to hear somebody say that to anyone in an emergency room environment. Needless to say the only way I'd go back here is if I was unresponsive and carried in but I'd still not trust the care I'd receive.

Absolutely would never go here again. If I could give a zero I would. The nurses would rather gossip than actually help patients. We came here for an emergency and only came to this hospital because 911 told us it was closer than driving to Beaumont. The only professional person in this hospital was the woman who greeted us and the woman who checked us in! medical staff was awful.

Staff is very very nice and helpful. Unfortunately they seem very short staffed and low on rooms. I went to the ER and waited 5 hours to be seen when there was about 12 patients. Fortunately for myself I wasn’t in a lot of pain, but others were a had to wait. I really wish I could give them 5 stars, because their staff was incredible and seemed so over worked. Thank you health care workers!

Had chest pain with 9 Stents. Care was great until I got to observation room.Upon arrival there no supplies. No tissue and I needed immediately. Kind of important for an asthmatic. Then I realize I needed a basin for nausea so I rang the bell a second time. Now the chest pain stays which only requires a nitro and they call a rapid response team. Of course I can have my nitro. 3 minutes later a second is given Everyone leaves . The. pain is coming back and forth so I need the final and 3 pill cause the pain is still there. I ring the bell. I get the pill and seconds after that that charge nurse comes in yelling at me for calling a rapid response and ringing the call bell to often. She told me I should get all my requests at one time I responded. I’ve never had to go o ask for these things before. They were always in a freshly cleaned floor for a new patient. Here’s the thing during my numerous hospitalizations my nurses always came to check on me cause I never rang if I don’t have. I walk to nurses station with my needs. Nurses told me they fought over me cause I’m so little work Here’s the psycho part of the story. They took my call bell away. What if I would have had a heart attach. My blood pressure was dangerously high200/100 and I was not allow to take any of my scheduled meds. Which only made everything worst. God protected me from a heart attack and stroke but there is nurse on this unit that had I died would be guilt of manslaughter.! Find her. You have a nurse or maybe two on that floor in your hospital.that are dangerous. Also high pressure is known to cause neurosis , Anxiety, depression. ER treats this and the observation unit is clueless to cardiac intervention. I believe the full care unit with a step down cardiac care is too much for any nurse. Because of my disease state I have had over 50 hospital stays. but this unit has dangerous nurses endangering the hospitals remaining reputations. If it’s happening to me it’s happening to others and with full care patients. Many can’t speak out for themself I do want to thank the wonderful nurses , but it can’t make up for this disbursing behavior. It was mean And vindictive, not worthy of a good nurse.

My wife was told by her cardiologist to go straight to ER to be admitted for IV diuretics. We've been here now for 7 hours so far. Explained the situation to triage nurse and got "Oh, well. That's how it goes". I know this won't be read until much later. God knows how much longer we're going to have to wait. This is ridiculous. One gentleman has been here since noon. It's now midnight.

I recently had to make an unexpected trip to the ER here, leading to an admission and a one-night stay (low sodium). I did have to spend quite a bit of time in the ER waiting room & then in a little ER hospital room, but once I was admitted it was a lovely experience. Well, as lovely as you can have in a hospital haha. The food was good and the nurses & medical assistants were knowledgeable, attentive, and very kind, especially Nurse Jody in the Women & Children wing.

WORSE HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. been here 4 days, high blood pressure and throwing up blood but they are discharging me telling me to follow up with my primary ..doctors do not introduce themselves, very rude I can not believe this is how they treat sick people. One of the nurses that was nice even suggested to go to Beaumont because this how they treat black people smh

SUCKS. This is a VERY expensive 3rd rate motel. Food shouldn't be fed to farm animals. You will be in the ER for hours if not days. Some nurses are nice, some surley. Stay a day or 2 longer for a simple test. You're insurance is paying for the room, so what's the hurry? Shared bathroom with other patients, visitors and staff in the observation area. Where are the old sanitation requirements? NEVER AGAIN.

Horrible wait times. Had 5-10 families leave during their wait because of how slow everything is. There is not even enough rooms to accommodate everyone. Patients were in stretchers outside of rooms due to overflow. I will NOT be coming back to this place. And finally during discharge, I had mrs, Angel h come in and take information. She rushed us during questions, along with sarcastic facial expressions with her poor and unprofessional attitude. This has been by far my worst ever experience in a hospital. And I will make sure to NOT come back and notify people of the horrors that occur with this place. DO NOT COME TO HENRY FORD HOSPITAL.

Today is Friday 6/16/2023, I brought my Daughter in around 6pm with excruciating stomach pelvic pain we were sent by her primary at Seville Family medicine. As of 11:42 we are still sitting here, we have seen People come in after us called back. It's ridiculous, their excuse by the rude triage nurses in the front is sorry no rooms. I'm so angry my 16 year old daughter is in pain, she had a history of ovaries cyst that have ruptured. She is shaking, hasn't eaten in 2 days because she hadn't felt good that's why we went here to this ER. I want someone to call me as soon as this message is read. As I edit my review I sit here with my Daughter in the Womans and Children unit. She ended up having surgery, her pain was her appendix, how dare the lack of care and empathy from that ER!

came down there at around 5:30pm did not get discharged until nearly 3AM.. ridiculous & crazy. majority of the staff in the ER were walking in circles, laughing, talking. or atleast flirting with eachother while others including me needed their attention. then to top it off i seen a social worker who i needed to talk to, she had on a yellow shirt & was wearing glasses with blonde hair, she was disrespectful to me & to my mother.. it’s like as if she was in a rush to dip & her voice tone was terrible. if you don’t like your job, quit. it’s that simple. get it together! lord.

I came in through the ER, with Covid and contractions. The care the birthing unit showed me was probably the best experience I had at an hospital my entire life. They made me so comfortable, I didn’t mind how long I was in there. The world needs more people like them loving and kind.

All I can share is my experience. I don't know what others have went through, but after bringing my five year old son to the emergency room they acted FAST. All staff really listened to what I had to say about my son. They immediately acted after his blood pressure came back low. Drew his blood and started an IV. My son has had diarrhea for 14 days. He's been fatigue and just not himself. The Doctor, one word for him, COMPASSIONATE (OK A FEW MORE WORDS) GREAT LISTENER! I'd greatly recommend Henry Ford Macomb to friends and family !!!!

I just wanted to send a quick report that all went really well for my mom who required stretcher transportation to get her sniff X-ray and arterial blood gas test. I am so super impressed with Henry Ford staff! A man named Drago's was amazing and quick to problem solve all of mom's needs for the sniff x-ray test and was calm and reassuring. Then a woman named Wanda Francesco, who I think was the manager of radiology, helped walk me through the hospital in order to make the rigmarole less for mom in order to get her arterial blood gas test. The Medstar employees did a great job too! Couldn't have turned out any better besides mom having her normal pain to touch and discomfort with getting moved a few times. The level of sense of responsibility on Wanda Francesco alone was highly impressive to walk me through to registration and even scouting out a vacant room for the blood gas test since a stretcher does not fit into a lab as you can imagine. I’d give this hospital 6 stars if I could. Thank you so much for taking great care of us xoxo!!!

Went here on a whim. I had a feeling something was bad and the countless doctors I've seen were not listening (including my primary). The ER wait felt like forever, it was about 2.5 hours. As soon as I was seen, the ER Triage lady was the FIRST PERSON in MONTHS that would listen to me. I wish I could remember her name - Alicia? She ordered a biopsy, CT scan, and all the blood work you can imagine. Turns out my gut was right and I have cancer. Without the thoroughness of the ER crew, from beginning to end (had "Alicia" out in the waiting room, Tiffany inside the ER, plus a slew of other doctors, nurses, oncologists) were all incredibly nice, professional, and thorough with me. I have a plan moving forward and I am ecstatic to say it was 100% because of the staff at Henry Ford Macomb. THANK YOU.

If I could give the ER zero stars I would. As a family member of an ER patient on two seperate encounters, both were horrible. The first was about 5 years ago when a family member was brought to a dirty room with bloody gauze on the floor. Unconfident the room was cleaned between patients, I searched for antimicrobial wipes to clean off the bed, there were none. I ended up using paper towels and hand sanitizer to clean off the bed. Today, a family member was getting evaluated in the ER and we were told we were not able to sit in chairs near the refreshment area, and that the waiting room is full and we should go wait in our cars. A hospital without a waiting room, that's a first. The staff is not friendly, the ER is not clean and I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere when it comes to the care of loved ones!

The night staff & doctors were amazing. But the day staff was very rube , as were the doctor's on days. They even released me before getting all my test results back. Only for me to read on my chart with the last test results and find out on my own that I Need to have a defibrillator put in my heart and a heart valve needs replacement or I may not live longer than two years... That's a hell of a thing to read at home with 3 little children and my husband sitting there next to me as I break down crying, only to tell them that I am going to be o.k no thanks to the hospital but by the good Lord's graces. Thank a bunch Henry Ford Macomb , for nothing. This Was the only hospital I have ever trusted but ever since it stopped being St Joseph Mercy Hospital , it's been getting steadily worse...what a real shame. Shame on you Henry Ford Macomb hospital , y'all are almost as bad as the McLaren hospital...so sad that Macomb county residents don't have a trustworthy , reliable Hospital.

My daughter was taken to this ER after a serious car accident. The trauma team and surgeons were excellent. When the pain medications were no longer relieving her pain, the nurse, AJ, refused to give her anymore. I became upset but he remained firm in his decision. Good thing he did because she needed the trauma team to review her pain regiment. AJ advocated on my daughters behalf and the trauma team added a nerve blocker and what a huge difference that made. Thanks so much for the great care.

I came in to the hospital because I was having chest pains. While I was in the room waiting the staff was screaming at an old couple, at that time I said you are not going to talk to them like that while I am here. They said to step back into my room and I said no I'm not I am going to leave. I had five to six staff members restrain me and sedate me and I woke up at Mount Clemens McLaren where they threatened me with a court order unless I took their medication. I believe the medical industry is corrupt . I was not properly diagnosed with anything. I was held against my will for weeks while they coerced me into taking medication that I believe that resulted in my self harm. We are in a country that pushes drugs and they don't care about the long term consequences. Here I was standing up for someone that was weaker and instead of dealing with the unruly staff member they punished me for standing up for that patient. I will never trust the medical industry again.

The hospital itself is great. Security and maintaining entrances is another story. No matter what time I have been there they let people park in the no parking lane. Vehicles parked with no one in them. I have had to back up numerous times now and of course wait for others to back. Why post no parking and fire lane if you are just going to let people park?? Can't even get in to drop someone off. It's worse at the north entrance as it's only one lane to drop off or pick up. So when you let people just patk there it's a damn joke. It happens daily!

SUEING THIS HOSPITAL!! The emergency room put her in this hospital because they couldn’t do anything about her throwing up acid and everything that she ate or drink. This hospital does nothing but take your blood and make you wait for days to tell you they letting you go. My mother is having sharp stomach pains, puling, nausea, and high blood pressure and she has been there since Saturday. They are releasing her with nun of those issues being solved, with the doctor not answering his phone, and not checking on her for hours. NEVER COMING BACK.

I went to the emergency room for a kidney stone. I was literally vomiting, and drenched in sweat. No one came to help when I walked in. No one greeted us. No one offered a wheel chair or pink throw up bin. After my husband gave the clerk our insurance info he then asked if I needed a wheel chair. He directed us to the waiting area. My husband located a pink puke bin. I sat dry heaving and sobbing in pain for 1 hour until it was time to ask me what I was coming in for. I then returned to the waiting area for another 1.5 hours of dry heaving, and sobbing in pain. Never did anyone offer some kind of sympathy. No one checked on me. I almost passed out from the pain (which would have been better). The lack of empathy shown is inhumane. Your saving grace would be the nurse (Sylvia) who then cared for me once I finally made it back. She was a dream. I would never recommend this ER to anyone.

Terrible experience in this hospital. If I could give a lower rating than one, I would. Extremely long wait time. My wife and I waited 12 hours to see someone at the ER. The staffs at the ER waiting area, while kind, were not helpful. The water fountain was out of order so my wife asked for some water, they told her to buy from vending machines nearby, she was having trouble walking from her pain. So this hospital expects people to wait 12 hours in the lobby and not offer basic necessities such as water. I'm not sure if there is a bigger red flag for an organization that we are supposed to trust with our health. If December/January is really the busiest time of the year, then why not adequately prepare for it? Nurses had 6 patients each. Why not get more nurses to prepare for the busy season. Extremely disappointed with the experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will tell my friends and family members to avoid this place at all cost. Hopefully this will be the last time at this place.
