Beautiful, everything looked fresh...very beautiful and varieties of vegetables were very cheap.

A large variety of fruits and vegetables are sold here. Probably one of the largest vegetable and fruit markets in the Pacific when it comes to trading and transporting of food products around Papua New Guinea. They also sell a range of different art and craft, like bilums, blouses and other artifacts as well. Every produce or stock that is available at the market is always fresh daily.

Very impressive, the organic food we have ,best natin tru. The only thing is , it's very scary when you are alone doing your marketing. Always have a local with you. Otherwise, you can't resist the local fresh food.

Arguably the best market in Papua New Guinea. Just needs re-labelling of the sections for convenience shake.

Just take only your market bag with cash and go do marketing. Some sections of the market is not safe, apart from that affordable produce... wide variety of fresh organic produce.

Mt hagen Market always offers the best. Trust me, you've never been to any Market in PNG more diverse.

It's a nice Market with lots of fresh Vegetables, fruits etc.. reasonable price. You can also find Bilums and Meri Blouse on sale as well. With the recent changes in "Keep Hagen Safe and Clean campaign" I personally felt safe to go to the Market, but always a good idea to go with a local guide.

The market itself is great with fresh fruits and veggies. But it's not safe at all, and so dirty. Tissers are everywhere, esp. boys. They will throw things at you, like orange skin or peanuts.

May seem unsafe for first time goers as the young boys in front of entrance may rush at you to offer help to carry your market bags. You can just kindly tell them no, or if you need, you pay a small fee to them for their assistance. Otherwise fresh fruits and vegetables galore!! Pineapple can be cut for you to eat on the spot and you can bargain with them, otherwise they also bargain with you. There's a bilum section, meri blouse section and cooked food section. You can go around the whole market and for sure leave with your hands full of fresh delights! There's even turmeric spice, ginger mixed spice and moringa.

Lovely display of fresh veges and fruits and isn't a drain on the wallet. Beware of bag snatchers though.

The market is rated first but due to political interference, it is spoiling the good image of the province. Why and these political involve in the market? They are not looking after the city and yet they want to collect those takings for their own use. Big shame on them.

The market's produce is of high quality and for a best price. The only concern is security of the market and the environment in terms of conducive es.
