Booking in was easy, staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had coffees, dinner, breakfast and drinks, all superb. Room was lovely and big, same with bathroom and all very clean. Had a great sleep and found everything great. Not far from St Andrews either. Dog friendly hotel also

Staff were so friendly and accommodating when asked for cutlery for pot noodles they ensured we got what we needed. Food is delicious and allergy friendly with every dairy free milk option imaginable available. Rooms are spacious and clean with a large shower and bath. Honestly no complaints, will definitely be coming back for another break. Big thank you to the staff!

Very nice, clean, comfortable, dinner excellent breakfast was a let down. No cereal, once slice of toast each, for full breakfast fried egg very burnt, should never have been put on the plate! Ham Benedict ...the ham was processed. Dog friendly but nowhere to walk especially it being in the countryside.

I've stayed at a lot of awful hotels and restaurants as if late and the Inn At Lathones was not one of them. The service from checked in to check out was excellent. Swift and delicious food with all the expected check backs and offers for drinks. Freshly ground coffee for breakfast. My only disappointment was the fact that after freshly grinding the coffee they proceeded to pour boiling water straight onto the coffee burning the beans. Other than that it was perfect.

Not sure how this can be rated a 4 star hotel, we had a "standard" room and it was old, worn out and dirty! The bathroom floor was filthy, the tiles in the shower were mouldy, the light over the mirror had a piece missing and didn't work and the towel rail was too rusty to use, also the buttons to flush the toilet were missing! On the plus side the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Hits the sweet spot on terms of size for me. Good food, quiet setting. I would certainly stay again if in the area.

I stayed at the Inn at Lathones for one night as a single traveller. Upon arrival I was greeted very warmly, checked in quickly & showed to my room. The room was spacious, very clean (almost too much so as the smell of cleaning fluid was a bit strong 😂) & comfortable. I booked in for dinner too, food was delicious but it did take quite a while for my plate to be taken away once finished (not a massive issue by any means but I know some like plates cleared asap). Breakfast the next day was equally as tasty & very friendly service. My only minor issue was that, similar to other reviews I’ve seen, there is quite a bit of noise from outside / other rooms which for me as someone quite sensitive to noise, did disturb my sleep. However, I do appreciate that the style of the buildings will play a huge part and that is out of the hands of the lovely owners. For some, you might not even hear it. Overall, a great stay & if I were coming to the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Stayed for 3 nights while on a golfing trip. Couldn’t fault it! Great room and fantastic food. Had 2 evening meals there and they were great. Would 100% stay again when next in the area playing golf.

Lovely gem, great experience. Located amongst farmland, this delightful and quiet inn was well appointed and comfortable. The dining experiences were delightful, and the lodging was very comfortable. Plenty of free parking.

Took my 93 year old mother for Sunday lunch. Very expensive do not do oap prices or meals, have to pay full price just offered less food ??, soft drinks from piped containers or cans. Very over prices but meal tasty. Won't return due to cost which probably explains why we were the only people there..

Honestly, I'm so surprised in this little gem. Booked a last minute stay for work and it has not disappointed. Great staff, great food and a little cosy room. Will stay here again if up this way !!

Fantastic find, huge rooms, with comfy bed. Shower, jacuzzi bath. We had patio door that took us out onto a patio overlooking fields and further towards the sea. Fantastic breakfast the next day with plenty choice and very friendly staff. Dog friendly 🐾

Excellent place to stay, the Duty Manager Jack gave us a very warm welcome, through out our 3 night stay he was very attentive as were all the other staff, nothing was too much bother for them. The room was very clean and comfortable with a patio outside with table and chairs, this will be brilliant on a nice summers evening. The dog friendly restaurant was great, the food was excellent and very well presented. Jack and all the staff are a big asset to the place, we will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel. A big thanks and well done to all the staff.

Booked a 2 night break at Inn at Lathones 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast £149.00 each and that included £25.00 each night for dinner/drinks. Was excellent value for money, the menu was extensive and food excellent. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Was 5 miles outside St Andrew's so you really needed a car although there was a bus that stopped outside the Inn. The break was booked through My Hotel Break in Strathaven.

I cant fault this stay. We were greeted by a charming and very helpful receptionist/manager. Most impressively on this little UK tour my hubby and I stayed at 5 different hotels around the country and this was the warmest welcome we received, most impressive bathroom and room, even my request for soya milk had been noted from my online booking. This was the only hotel out of 5 that went to the trouble to accommodate me for a single nights stay .. This hotel whilst looking very modest gave the most superior service and had the nicest room ... delighted and this is why I have gone to the bother of writing a review .... they deserve the credit as does the lady manager. Thank you.

Just spent two days at Inn. On arrival, found we had a free room upgrade. Room came with decked terrace. Comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food in restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. A most enjoyable stay and to be thoroughly recommended. Also a good location for exploration of nearby St Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife.

This is one of the best country Inns we have found on our trip though Scotland. The staff Lynn and Hannah were great and the food was fantastic. The owner Mike had great knowledge of the locally made whiskeys and let us sample several. The rooms were nice and beds comfortable.

Lovely rooms and grounds. Friendly staff. They appeared a bit short of staff maybe? Had to ask for teaspoons. Was given fillet steak when we requested sirloin. No amendments made to bill. Forgot water. Forgot condiments etc. With more staff would be fantastic.

Had an excellent stay, room was fabulous great views from terrace, had a lovely evening sitting out. Room was very spacious and bathroom was huge big walk in shower and a jacuzzi bath to relax in. Restaurant was so nice and cozy with real fire, staff actually set up table for us beside fire after we were seated as we said oh would be nice at the fire. Food was excellent both evening and breakfast. Would just like to say a massive THANK YOU to the TEAM I work in retail and do expect a good service, all I can say could not fault any of them, nothing was to much and really felt they were there to make your stay the best. The Inn itself was beautiful would definitely recommend and would love to visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay x

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights and we had a lovely time. The location is perfect and quiet and not too far from St. Andrews. The food was amazing and the drinks in the bar were good too! Most importantly the staff were all friendly and helpful and made the stay easy. We would definitely come back and it’s the perfect place for a little getaway :)

What a gem. Staff are great. Very polite and friendly. We were given an upgrade to a superior double room with a jacuzzi bath and large shower unit. The food was superb. Breakfast offered was a full and hearty one with ample choice. Anything asked for the chef produced. Great choice on the dinner menu and everything cooked to perfection. All the public areas had wood burning stoves which were continually being stoked. As I said, a great little gem of a find.
