I visited universal joint for the first time, recently. The wait staff was friendly and pleasant, the food was very good. I ordered the burger of the month & my daughter ordered the Steinbeck Burger, and we ordered an appetizer of lemon pepper wings, the lemon pepper wings were slightly dry, but they were tasty. The burgers were absolutely delicious & the onion rings came with the burger of the month, and I absolutely loved the onion rings! I have nothing bad to say about the burgers & the only reason I did not give it five stars, was because it appeared to be just a tad bit Dusty. Other than that, everything was delicious and everyone was friendly.

Cool ambience and the food was average. A lot of people through here that are from the justice center so expect a business and legal crowd. There is decent parking in its own parking lot and on the street. I ordered a black bean burger which was kind of mushy and still felt heavy. The garden salad was very cheesy so over all it felt like average food in a industrial decor.

Had lunch there today. It was a beautiful day so we sit outside on the patio under an umbrella. My wife had a burger and tater tots with a gluten free bun and it was very good. Always a plus for her. I had a gyro with fries. The tots were perfection. Hot and crispy and I was eating them off her plate. Also the fries were served piping hot which I love. Our waitress was very good, she took quick care of all our needs. Many choices in downtown Lawrenceville and the Universal Joint has always been on point. A great places for burgers and a cold beer. We will return.

Excellent place to have an outstanding burger and a locally brewed beer! Really like this place, and service is good as well!

The food and atmosphere are amazing here! We also went on a Sunday around 2pm and they had a brunch menu as well as lunch. The portion sizes are great! It’s a great place to stop by when you’re walking in the Lawrenceville Square. They also have a large outside eating area, both covered and uncovered and it’s dog friendly as well.

Fantastic time! Bo, the bartender, was great. Recommended perfect brews and drinks. The Pot Stickers were great, as were the chicken salad croissants and the roast beef dip! Great time, great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. Will be back! Thanks!

Always have an amazing time here! Julie was an amazing bartender!!! She was so attentive and quick with every thing my group needed. There wasn’t one moment where we needed something and she wasn’t there. Truly 10/10 service. Definitely ask for her next time you’re in the downtown Lawrenceville area she’s definitely worth it. Can’t wait to stop by again.

We really had a great time here on our date night last week. The bar tender on Wednesday was super friendly and fun. The food was good, especially the tots. They were super crispy! We also didn’t feel like it was overly priced like many bars we visit. The music and atmosphere was really nice for a chill evening out.

A complete waste of money! Food is TRASH! We ordered jalapeño poppers, they were served still frozen on the inside! Salad was nasty! Philly sandwich was a 1.5 star. I will not recommend this place, the food is overpriced and giving 1 star quality! The only reason this place is getting business is the location.

I can’t remember if I already rated this place 5 stars, so I had to do it again. My favorite spot on the square. Great food, have had small issues with food before but the team there is always so gracious in making it better. I brought my dog on the patio with my wife, the server even brought us over a bowl and pitcher of water for our pup. Top notch. Also just a great spot to grab a drink.

We visited for lunch. We had two patty melts and cheese curds. The food was good; the burgers were cooked to the correct temperature and had a great crust! They were dog friendly, and our dogs enjoyed their meal as well. The staff was very nice and attentive. The experience was great there!

Really good food and beer selection I got a sour that was great. They also allow tasting of beers. The service was great and the food was great. The patio is super dog friendly they even gave our pup a Universal joint bandana.

If you're looking for a bar that serves food, this place is fine. If you're just looking for food, it will be an average experience. The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich 🥪 was disappointing. However, there were a lot of hamburger options. Huge drink menu. Negative: Most of the seating 💺 is outside. #saisson

One thing I will say is that they have pretty good food. It's not my favorite place because it seems like there is always something that is a headache. This time was they brought out tea to the people at our table that ordered it. It looked and tasted like they had used the same tea bag for the third time. The time we went before we had a pretty large party. When it was time to settle the bill they said they couldn't split the bill but in half.?? We had 4 sets of couples. Despite all this we go on a rare occasion. My wife loves the fish tacos.

I cannot stop raving about the level of service I received here. Charlie was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu . He took the time to explain what dishes were, and gave us some stellar recommendations. I told him about nephews allergies and he spoke to the manager who walked over made sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. She constantly checked in on us to make sure we were all right and well served. Jennasey and Charlie were so friendly and attentive. I went for the yummy food but left beyond content with the service! Thank you Jennasey and Charlie

Absolutely great service and atmosphere, food was wonderful also. We had the lemon pepper wings and side salads. The salads were amazing all by themselves! The bartender recommended the lemon zest dressing and could not have been more right. Perfect spot for lunch or a night out. Staff was fantastic. Will definitely go again and again, a real gem in Lawrenceville

Came here for lunch and the salmon BLT and Sawyer were AMAZING! The staff is super friendly, and the service was fast. We sat at the bar and Sawyer took awesome care of us! We will definitely be back! 10/10!

Okay so I messed up and forgot to take a picture of my food… but I hope that’s enough to say we were excited to eat! 😅 This is my go-to location in downtown Lawrenceville to be with my friends. The vibe is really cool. The food is great and average prices. Lately they’ve gotten a little slower but I’m sure that’s normal all around. Overall, my food is always fresh, servers are great, and I enjoy the indoor and outdoor options!
