We are from Arizona and loved the burgers. They are made fresh as well as the fries and made to order. The only downside is they aren't closer to Arizona....

CJ Butcher Boys was just what we needed after two days of hiking and camping at nearby Petit Jean State Park. I got a single (1/3 pound) burger with cheese, pickles and mustard (you get to build your own, telling them exactly what you want on it). I could’ve used a few more pickles on my burger, but there were plenty for a normal person. My brother got two patties (so, 2/3 pound) with grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, cheese, and mustard. We both highly enjoyed our burgers, they were just the grease bombs we needed! We both got fries, and I felt like mine were a little overcooked, not that they were hard or crispy, just the opposite, they were just darker, but still soft. Yes, even my brother’s fries had no crispiness to them, so if you’re looking for crispy fries these are not the ones (they aren’t “plank“ fries, but they aren’t skinny McDonald’s fries either). That being said, we ate them all! Well, except for the few the dogs got. I would have liked barbecue sauce for my fries, because I am weird, but we got a small order of their “fry sauce”, which seemed to me was kind of like ranch dressing with a bunch of spiciness in it. It was actually pretty good, and we could have used a large. My brother was also happy with his chocolate malt. As I was calling in my order, I was told that a bus load of a softball team has just arrived, so it might be a while for my order, but it was ready in less than 15 minutes, which was the time I needed to drive there, anyway. The place was pretty packed with customers, but the staff looked well-organized and my food came to me hot and fresh. It was a good experience overall.

Of course, anytime I'm on 40 going through Russellville, I have to stop at CJ's. I'm telling you, this place has the best burger in Central Arkansas. Amazing burger. Fresh aa fresh gets. Friendly staff and plenty of them. Clean eating area and bathroom. This place rocks. Bonus points for all of the automotive culture captured on the walls.

Awesome little burger joint. Menu is simple. Either you’re getting a 1/3 lb burger or a double. Choose your toppings. I highly recommend getting the combo so you can get some fries. These might be some of the best fries I’ve ever had. So perfectly crisp and soft on the inside. Burger was also great. Crispy smashburger style. Fry sauce is an extra charge but I would go for it because it was very good.

Delicious!! The first bite took me straight back to my mom's homemade burgers. I guess because the way they were shaped and because patties had basic salt and pepper seasoning/flavor. Fries were homemade and delicious as well. I wasn't in mood for tea so unfortunately I didn't get to try it out. Tea is my thing. Husband and kids enjoyed their burgers as well and we made happy plates. Their smallest patties were 1/3 lb and I would have preferred a 1/4 pounder but it's all good. We are Texans and bigger is better, right?

CJ'S BURGERS: Good tasting burger heavy in the meat , great on the flavor. The fires are fresh hand cuts, thick and tasty. Lots of seating space with table seating up to four people. All you can drink with free refills on tea and soda. Milkshakes- YESSSSSSS SIR LIP SMACKING GOOD

One of the yummiest bacon cheeseburgers I've ever had. Their fresh cut fries are also very good and you can't go wrong when paired with a strawberry shake.

The service was slow! No trays to carry your food when eating in. My husband ordered his burger with all the sauce options and it came out with none! The pop machine wasn't working properly and they were out of lemonade. The price on the menu was different than what we were charged, and it wasn't cheaper. Other than all that, the food itself was good. The fry portion was great and the fry sauce was my favorite!

We are from out of town and when we come here for work, this is one of the first places we come to eat. It is awesome. Love the atmosphere and the fries are out of this world.

We wanted to stop in after seeing CJ's on maps. And we are so glad we stopped. When we pulled into the parking lot, we knew that we were at the right place for dinner. The atmosphere is awesome here. When you walk in, you pass by a meat case to order the fresh cut burgers.. And burgers and fries is all they server here. Doing so, has made thus place one of my all time burger places.. I loved building the buger how I wanted it. And insomuch throwing on it fresh grilled mushrooms.. The fries are cut fresh. And the chocolate malt took me back. Looking at the wonderful ambience, I really wish that I could return more often...

Let me just say, CJ's makes the BEST burgers in Arkansas! It's been 11 years since the last time I ate there and it tasted just as good, if not better. I took my family there after my daughter's college graduation and celebrated with a big, juicy burger and fresh homemade fries. I'm definitely not going to wait another 11 years to eat there again. All I can say is, if you haven't eaten here you're missing out big time!

Maybe the best burger I’ve ever had. The Fries were actual real potatoes, not frozen. The fries were salted just perfectly. Wish I lived closer. Will definitely be returning. Fantastic diner atmosphere.

Wonderful Burgers with your choice of topping to include fried onions, which alot of restaurants dont have. Service was fairly fast you mainly have to wait for them to cook your order, ordering and paying was quick.

Stopped in here to grab a burger, and so glad we did!! The burger and fries both are fresh and so good. I highly recommend you try this this place out if you want a burger. You won't be sorry, trust me!!

CJ's is a Russellville classic. They have a fun atmosphere, and a decent burger with plenty of options on dressing it. Think of five guys burgers, or David's burgers in the central Arkansas area. I think my only complaint would be, the bun is common, and their cheese is limited to pepper jack, American and cheddar, but I don't know anyone who judges burgers off the bun, and they're not a cheese shop.. so we won't! I did take a picture of they're sign in the bathroom.. where a person had creatively changed the had washing sign

Excellent food! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Right off 1-40 and well worth the stop 🛑 The home style fries were excellent, no burger picture but it was delicious! ⭐
