We came to Neguess first time today and We’ve tried so many Haitian restaurants in NJ but never great. But when we came here we are finally pleased. Black rice was tasty and fried pork was delicious not oily at all. Normally when you go to Haitian restaurants you get bad service but not here . Foods were authentic we finally found the best Haitian restaurant!!! We definitely go back frequently . Thank you.

I was traveling home and I decided to get some food on our way. I didn’t even get to eat all of what we ordered and I already knew they can cook. The food was on point. The bouillon had lots of veggies in it and the legumes was authentic Haitian style. They got lots of points for meeting our needs and giving us what we asked for and the icing on the cake,the flavor was great.

I love Haitian food and couldn't wait to try this spot. I ordered over the phone, the small chicken and gravy with white rice and the brown sauce and fried plantain. I really wanted black rice but they had no more. When I arrived I parked in front of the restaurant. I walked in and the nice young lady took my payment and it was $10.66. She handed me my food and I left. When I got to the car I dug in. The chicken was decent, the rice was nice and buttery, the black sauce was bland and the plaintain needed salt. I ate until the meat was gone and threw the rest away. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't the best either.

The soup joumou was rich and flavorful. The turkey is delicious and every other item that I’ve tried tasted fresh and was cooked with love. The restaurant and tables were very clean and I received amazing service! 10/10!!

Whenever I’m craving good quality Haitian food, this is the place I run to! They also have epis for sale !

My Issue Was I Ordered Before 4 or 5 People And They Were Served Before Me,, Besides Her Telling Me They Had Only 1 Cook... They Wouldn't Pour Gravy on the Rice But Gave Some on the Side... Stew Chicken Has Extra Kick and Spice But Was Good... I've Been Getting Fried Turkey From Spots Recently and Happy They Provide Since Many Dont... My Mum n Brother Got Medium Platters Coming With 2 Drumsticks Which Usually Come Assorted With Thighs... My Mum Thought It Could Have More Flavor... My Turkey From Here Was a Bit Better B4... We Ordered Mac n Cheese Over Phone But They Didnt Have When I Picked Up... Maybe Cuz It Was the Weekend... Maybe Cuz Different Cooks... I Like This Spot But Stay Consistent With the Platters,, Kick and Flavor... I'll Be Back...

Had really high hopes for this place. I was let down by the taste of the black rice. There was no flavor in the rice, just bland. The sauce for the chicken had no flavor or spice unfortunately. The Mac and cheese I would give it 6/10, again lacking flavor. Overall the customer service is amazing and that would probably be the reason why I would come back and try something else.

1st time ordering at this place, it was the closest to my job. I ordered the black rice with turkey stew. BIG,BIG, disappointment. turkey tasted old, might be 3 weeks old. black rice is usually the best thing to order at a Haitian restaurant. This one had no taste; waste of my time and $. 1st and last time at this place.
