When I was there years ago when I was 15 and went to Lehman highschool I wanted to get into training MMA I ended up going to jungle gym and immediately they persuaded my mother and father to have join the gym as a member so the 47 days free went STRAIGHT out the window.... And I remember the training was fun and ok but I remember also how uncomfortable the people there made me feel they legit was charging my mom and pops who were very broke and not working on income viable for the quality of what the gym was offering. As soon as I stopped going they kept calling my house to get the payment which was at least 300 bucks at the time. All I know is they never offered free training just lessons and if you cant tell from the way they respond to customers that they don't care about your business then idk what to say. One of the main things that I didn't like about them was that they made it seem like it wasn't wrong to charge people the amount they did. Meanwhile the people that go there are usually people who are close to the family who owns the gym. Everybody there is just there for themselves and feel as if they don't really need your money regardless. It's a good place to learn when your a complete beginner other than that just find a boxing gym and find a BJJ gym these guys would be good regardless

Great coaches poor management! I trained at the gym for a little over a year, and it was an amazing experience. They truly take you in and treat you like family. Also if you put the work you will see results. if you need to freeze your membership and have no estimate time on how long you will be out for just cancel it. ( you cannot freeze the account ) it is now March 2020 and the owner refuses to cancel my membership which I requested to cancel back in November 2019. Since he refuses to cancel the membership, I went from owing $361 to now almost $1000. If you work hard for your money this is not the place for you!! Also the owner ignores my emails and the third party company is not able to do anything about it unless he gives the okay.

I remember my son used to go to this place the person who conduct the class has a son there they lock my son up in a room and scared him it took a while for my son to get over that. When i complained about the situation . They video tape my son and set him up he was 5 years old. This is so unprofessional and unacceptable all I'm saying do not believe anything they say about your kids take them home first and talk to them and do not run judgment right there in front of them discipline your kids away from the complaints in Jesus name now me and my son can rest in peace.

Learned so much in such a short time. The gym has multiple championship title winning coaches. They teach an array of techniques including Bjj Aikido Wrestling and striking. Its a good place to be if youre trying to learn mix martial arts, get in shape and learn proper self defense. The people are very welcoming and tight knit which is great if youre new to mma like me. Saturday classes are one of the bests hands down

I have trained at this location for over a year. I have been training in martial arts for most of my life; I can confirm that Jungle Gym is the real deal. They provide quality instruction and expect the best from every student. If you have high expectations for yourself and are willing to put in the work, there is no question that you will flourish in the Jungle Gym. Choosing this school is one of the best life choices I've made. Not only did I gain confidence in my skills as a martial artist, I've also established great friendships with my classmates and instructors.

Family friendly environment. I knew nothing coming to The Jungle Gym and they all made me feel welcome and eager to work with me. My skill level has improved greatly in the short time I have attended. Looking forward to see how my body and mind can be pushed to new limits. Thank you Jungle Gym!

I am a teenager at the Jungle Gym and have been training there for over a year now. Before the jungle gym i went to several other martial arts schools but the Jungle Gym won me over, with its friendly environment, coaches and students, and also from its many classes and variation type of classes. Were all out there to help each other whether off or on the mat. The Jungle Gym is one big family. I recommend it to anyone of all ages to try it out.

I started at JG coming on three years ago, hands down the best school in NYC for martial arts. I’ve taken away a lot of life lessons from MC and have gained a wealth of knowledge between all of the staff. A true tribe. And although I’ve been inconsistent with training, every time I set foot in there, everyone is very welcoming and the training never ceases to stop getting better. A testament to the tribe vibe. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made, and it’ll be yours, too.

I have been a student at the Jungle Gym for a little over 2 years now. During this time I have been in the company of some of the best people one can meet. This includes students and coaches. EVERYONE who is part of the JG family is willing to help their brothers/sisters on and off the mat. This place is making me a better person every day. Don't believe me? Come check it out for yourself.

Jungle gym has helped me have more confidence in myself. Everyone in the gym is nice and respectful which makes training there so much better. Jungle gym has helped me in my wrestling season and it has helped me in school. The coaches taught me to always pressure myself to do better in each class and since joining jungle gym my grades have gone up a lot. I recommend jungle gym to all the teenagers, they will benefit a lot from this gym.

What can i say? Jungle Gym is one of the best choices i have ever made. Period. What Master Chim is teaching is priceless. Jungle Gym is not just making us better martial artists, its making us better people. My time at the jungle gym has given me a new family. For that, i am grateful.

I've had the pleasure of training at the Jungle Gym for two years now. What started as a curiosity has become a part of my life. The gym has challenged me physically and mentally. My coaches are dedicated, deliberate, and intuitive. There is never a sense of hierarchy within the ranks. You can ask for help from anyone who is around you. That kind of environment promotes growth. It also instills the value of Reciprocation. Something that is rare these days. My weight loss, strength, and knowledge of mixed martial arts will constantly grow with the guidance of the Jungle Gym. I recommend the journey to anyone who wants to find out about themselves and what their true potential is. - Novela

I walked through the doors of the Jungle Gym 6 years ago as 46 year old beer drinking cigarette smoking 210lb former Marine thinking that I knew how to fight. I just want to enhance my skills I said to myself. I encountered a 135lb male and quickly thought how I would demolish this guy. I quickly found out about respecting reality. The most satisfying thing about the Jungle Gym is that I learned about myself. I found out quickly that reality will put you in the place that you properly belong. It was a very humbling experience and one that was necessary for my own growth. I continue to grow as a human being through all the mindset conversations with this incredible Tribe. Today as a 51 year old father of two boys, not only am I in the best shape of my adult life but the mental strength that the calculated pressure of the training provides has proven to be most valuable not only at the gym but in life in general. I no longer smoke cigarettes or drink beer and although I have a long road ahead in learning to fight, this 180lb 51 year old me will demolish the 46 year old me without question. The Jungle Gym is one of the best investments that I’ve made in my life. Come join us, find out about yourself and learn to be a better you. Hope To See You On The Mats! (JG4L!)

Long over due comment! Where do I even begin? When I first joined Jungle gym I started with women's boot camp called "Fighterella". The trainers pushed me so hard that I quickly learned that I was the one limiting myself. When you think you can't, they motivate you and tell you you CAN! The lady's also motivated me. With in months I loss a healthy amount of weight, the also gave me a Paleo book along with signing up. I had no clue what MMA was until they asked me " did you ever think of doing MMA?I " Long story short the coaches were patiant with me. I was a reindeer in head lights, i was stiff, and clueless. They worked with me drilled with me explained it a billion times if necessary. We were a "tribe"! Cook outs, fights at AC, united. Our Master chim was tough but awesome! I loved it there and I miss it everyday. This was 7 years ago. But credit goes to thoes who deserve it. They were very flexible with the schedule with a variety of hours. If you want to go Pro go to Jungle gym many awesome fighters have come out of here. If you want to just learn defense, lose weight this is it! -Melissa P

I became a student of the Jungle Gym a little over 3 years ago. Since joining the school I have become more confident in everything that I do. They have shown me that I can accomplish anything. It is not just a Martial Arts school, but a family. Everybody cares about one another and will always help you whether it be in the gym or out. I used to smoke cigarettes and with the help of the Jungle Gym it's been over 6 months since I quit. I have made lifelong friends and mentors. I would recommend this gym to anyone no matter their age. This gym has changed my life and ill forever be grateful.
