A tourist trap. If things don't go as you expect you are on your own. This is definitely not the Noisy room, especially if you stay near the dinning area where breakfasts are also served. Good luck having a good night's sleep - in a place advertised as a haven of tranquillity. The staff (Júlio Adrego) was extremely unprofessional after we pointed out that the room was noisy, and we couldn't spend the night. At first, he promised to reimburse our fully paid stay, but in the end he refused to do so, with some creative pretexts that included unfounded accusations. In any other hotel that would have been inadmissible. The facilities are old and have not been as well-kept as they are advertised to be - the front gate doesn't even open, the rooms are cold and not well isolated. There is nothing of the luxury that was advertised. Júlio did not once use a mask in when we arrived, though it was the law at the time, due to covid. Don't expect high cleanliness and sanitary standards either.

Our stay at the Herdade was not scheduled and We were very happy about the lovely surprise of this warm and quiet little piece of paradise. Both Julio and Nadya were awesome. The kids loved it!

We stayed for 3 nights at Herdade do Rio Torto during Easter holiday. It was such an unforgettable experience, perfect place to relax and recharge among family, and friends. The property is very well maintained, with beautiful rustic decor, spotless clean rooms, idyllic and tranquil landscapes, wild and domestic animals, a variety of recreational facilities, and quality tasty breakfast & dinner (by order). Júlio, Nadia and their sunny boy Martin are the real deal! Consider it your countryside home in Alqueva, Alentejo. Their warmth, helpfulness and attentiveness are exceptional. Make sure you take a night safari with Júlio for animal searching and star gazing, and try Nadia's typical regional dishes.

Lovley and peacefull place. Very relaxing wonderfull nature surrounding. The resorts is made with love. Very friendly hosts. Will always come back.
