🫤 First, and as a disclosure, I just went to have lunch with friends and didn't stay at the hotel, so this is just a restaurant review. We called a couple of days prior to book a table and see if it was possible to go and just have lunch, since it's a more than 3 hour drive from Maputo. They said yes,... People often mention good, stay, quality, resort, service, time, great,

First, and as a disclosure, I just went to have lunch with friends and didn't stay at the hotel, so this is just a restaurant review. We called a couple of days prior to book a table and see if it was possible to go and just have lunch, since it's a more than 3 hour drive from Maputo. They said yes, and so we went. We weren't mistreated or anything, but the service wasn't really up to the standards. We were greeted and seated and began ordering from the menu. The waiter didn't seem to know how to answer most of our questions about the menu and went back and forth to the kitchen several times, which honestly is better than to just answer without knowing, but he should know how to answer. We then decided to order and he went back again one more time to get a notebook, which, again, is better than not writing the orders down, but he should have it from the beginning. We placed our orders, got our drinks and waited. And then another waiter appears at the table saying he is sorry, but our only options today were to order the buffet or light meals from the menu. We were never given that information prior, it should have been disclosed when booking the table. We decided we didn't want the buffet, so we all ordered light meals, and they took a lot of time to arrive. The food wasn't bad, but was far from good, to the point of being overpriced. I get the place is exclusive and was expecting to pay more than average, but was also expecting food quality to be higher. Besides all this, the place is located within a national park and is very scenic, and we were seated outside with a view to the beach. This is all very good, but someone decided that background trash music should be loudly playing and when we asked to have it turned down or off, the reply we got was that there were other guests and could only turn it down. Not off. It's a shame that clients should have to complain about background music in a hotel in the middle of a national park. Management and staff should know better. I should say that I do not believe the fault to be with the employees who took our orders. I feel they simply lack very necessary training to be able to do their jobs well. Overall, we were very unpleased with the whole experience. Again, this is just refering to the restaurant experience. We did not spend the night or got to look at the rooms or other services the hotel offers.

This is a seaside resort within the Maputo Special Reserve natural park. As such it has stunning views, lovely beaches, wildlife in the resort grounds (mostly monkeys). It is either newly built or recently refurbished/ renovated; in any case, everything about this place was new, fresh and clean. Rooms, which are really just separate bungalows of varying accommodation capacities. All have beautiful views, even from the bathtubs, high ceilings, tastefully chosen furnishings. The only reason I rated this hotel/resort only four stars was the horrendous road one has to take to reach the property. It is more of a sand track than a "road". Only passable by genuine 4x4 vehicles, the access track takes the guests winding through a proper wildlife reserve, without a metre of straight or level part. The track makes one wonder if this atrocious travel that covers 22 km (about 13.5 mi) in over two hours will be worth the bone-jarring passage and the high rates of this hotel. For my wife and I it was worth it -- this first time. But I won't be coming back to this property.

Definitely an amazing gateway, to relax connect with nature with great amenities at your disposal. Getting there: Getting there it will take you 1 to 1.5 hour from Futi entrance plus requires 4x4 car since it is inside the reserve, offering opportunity to enjoy wildlife, please make sure to have all gears just in case you get stuck - mainly on the last hill 2min to the resort. There are options to arrive via air (there is a Heliport) and Sea, which divides the resort in three areas A, B, C. The Reception: The reception were very friendly and sympathetic on site, it was a bit of a struggle to communicate prior, due to issues with cellular connectivity, Tmcel has the best coverage but once there you are covered with great wifi provided by the receptionists. The Rooms: Rooms are great, spacious enough and very comfortable. You can spend quality time in the balcony, with your own beverages or even food (if you're in the rooms equiped with a kitchennete and want to cook). Room service has a fee, if you decide to have meals from the restaurant in room. A note is to placement of coffee machine under the TV is not very practical and you would need to use two hands to pour a coffee due to machine design. It could be fixed with a small table in that area, even the one in the restroom, with no practical use. The Restaurant: Since it is remote, the menu is limited for options of the day, so you will have three options for the mains, two starters and same up to three desert. Light meals such burgers are always available. We were not very happy with the service at restaurant, contrary to reception, it felt they were lacking a bit of training and weren't friendly at all, for the 3 days I couldn't get a smile from the entire restaurant crew, very unusual for industry in country, which is very welcoming. There is a lot of room from improvement. Prices are affordable, 1000mt per dish is the average. Activities: There is not a big variety, this is a place for lay back, have some drinks and relax. You have a great swimming pool, good for adults and kids, open untill 5pm, you can obviously enjoy the beach. No food and drinks allowed there (good call for taking care of the environment). There will be shades and chairs for you. Lastly there is the spa were we had massages, the lady managed to help us relax. So if you are a couple, no couples massage available, it is one person at the time. Contact reception for booking your hour. Overall it is fine, we did enjoy our stay and would come back again and we hope that improvements we pointed out do make an impact.

Set inside de Maputo reserve park To get there you have to reset your mind ,cause the road is like no other. But pleasent to see nature at its best, see elephants, zebras, monkeys, kudos(antilope) gazelles, just to name a few. You can only get there by 4x4 car. But when you finally get there after almost 2 hours from the gate, you finally get to paradise. Lovely ,great place wit an awesome view. The staff is so pleasent..the manager Dénise is so sweetie, very attentive to our needs, our well being. A comida magnífica a lula grelhasa foi das melhores que comi in a long time. Foi um aventura e pêras , terei certamente de voltar para me hospedar.

What an idyllic combination of bush, beach and barefoot luxury! Superb, modern rooms with the very best in fittings and light and airy styling. Communal areas spacious and well-appointed, great food, good service. Jaw-dropping location on a deserted beach, within the stunning Maputo National Park, resplendent with large lakes, majestic plains, coastal forest and elephants, hippos, reedbuck, wildebeest and zebra. Not many other places in the world where you can see elephants on the drive in and watch whales swimming past your room a few minutes later! Thank you to Ruben and the team for sharing your slice of paradise.

Just amazing. But very difficult access. You need a good 4x4 car, the access roads are very sandy and narrow and in some cases you risk geting stuck just so you can overpass someone or let someone else pass coming from the other direction.

Beautiful location, very good rooms and good food. The staff it’s nice and helpful. Except someone from front desk. The road it’s difficult, but beautiful, and you need a 4x4. The road it’s a safari trip on its own.

Disappointing experience at Montebelo Milibangalala Bay & Resort Evaluation: I recently had the dubious pleasure of staying at the Montebelo Milibangalala Bay & Resort and my experience was less than satisfactory. From start to finish, my stay was marked by problems that I think are important to share with other travelers. 1. **Bed Bugs:** Unfortunately, my peace and quiet was disturbed by an unexpected roommate, namely bed bugs. This is not only unhygienic but also completely unacceptable for a supposedly high quality resort. 2. **It is unfortunate that many of the problems mentioned are due to incompetent management. Effective management plays a crucial role in the quality of services and guest satisfaction. It would be a good idea to emphasize these specific points in your feedback or complaint to show management specific areas for improvement. Clear communication about the challenges experienced can help management take the necessary actions to improve the quality of services at Montebelo Milibangalala Bay & Resort. 3. **Uncleanliness:** The cleanliness of the resort also leaves a lot to be desired. There were signs of neglect everywhere, from dirty carpets to uncleaned common areas. Such a lack of cleanliness is simply unacceptable, especially considering the prices charged for a stay. 4. **Overpriced:** The value for money at Montebelo Milibangalala Bay & Resort is completely out of whack. The quality of the accommodation and the services offered do not in any way justify the inflated prices charged for a stay. 5. **Disappointing half board package:** The half board package I booked turned out to be a complete failure. The food selection was limited, the quality left much to be desired, and the service was disorganized and slow. This is unacceptable, especially considering that this is an additional cost. Overall, my stay at Montebelo Milibangalala Bay & Resort was disappointing and frustrating. I strongly advise any potential guest not to stay here. There are numerous other resorts offering better value for money and higher standards of cleanliness and service.
