Absolutely fantastic dive club. The owners are very friendly and real nature enthusiasts who will go out of their way to show you the best the sea can offer. I dove with them the "Pinnacles" dive a few times, getting to see amazing submarine landscapes and lots of sharks. Highly recommendable.

Really Loved Back to Basics for my beginners course for Scuba! It is not the biggest school in Ponta, but for sure the best! You get a lot of great attention, they make sure you are comfortable and prepared when it's time for your first dive. Really glad we choose them for our school. Jenny, Rupert and Adamo are all great and will make sure you fall in love with diving. Once you get past the initial nervousness and you go under water, you finally understand why so many people love to scuba!

We cannot say enough good things about Back to Basics!! First of all, Jenny and Rupert are the most hardworking, professional and knowledgeable people we know. With Back to Basics they managed to reach a perfect balans of professionalism and high standards, with a warm welcoming feeling where everyone just gets to be themselves, sharing the passion for diving and the ocean. Back to Basics is a boutique diving school which means that they truly care about giving you the best diving experience and not just about how many launches they can get done in a day. Both of them are incredibly knowledgeable about the ocean and sea life and we always learn a ton during our briefings and dives from them. Their shark dives are a unique experience and so well in tune with the natural environment of the sharks, no cages, no bate, just joining the sharks in their natural habitat, it's beautiful. The passion and knowledge of Jennie and Rupert is infectious, and since we learned how to dive with them every other diving centre pales in comparison. Highly recommend Back to Basics to any diver, whether a beginner or advanced!

I spend an awesome time with Jenny, Rupert and Dusty here. The briefing of Jenny was excellent and she knows so much about all the marine life that it was great joy to listen to her and absorb all her knowledge. Her expertise is far beyond many dive guides I had so far. Her guiding was very well balanced between caring about the divers next to spotting many great things. And on top the combination of big fish, shark, small macro stuff and a great visibility made it one of the best diving spots I ever visited in my life after 150 dives. Rental gear was also great. If you are in Ponta, go for it!

This is a wonderful dive center. Me and my friend dove two days with this centre and i have only good things to say about it. I’m an experienced diver with 400+ logged dives. We had a beautiful shark dive in Pinnacle. The staff and the owners are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They create a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The gear is updated and in a very good condition. I would definitely recommend Back to Basics Adventures to everyone, new divers wanting to get their education done but also experienced and technical divers.

I felt like I was in safe hands with the whole crew; really appreciated the briefings before the dives and the attention to detail that they had. The place has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and it seems like many of the divers I met there are regular visitors, which is a good sign.

Unforgettable. I was in a group that scuba dived here in 2015 and I hold on to those memories as one of my most fun adventures. Hello to the shore of the Indian Ocean from your friends on the shore of the North Atlantic.
