We stayed here for 5 nights because the price is the best we could find in Vilanculos! We had everything we needed: mosquito net, hot showers, WiFi and even breakfast (bananas, boiled egg, bread, jam, chocolate spread & tea/coffee). There is a kitchen as well which we used sometimes but it is probably the thing we would say most needs attention as it could do with a good clean and maybe some new cooking utensils (also a sponge for washing dishes). The location is okay - it's a bit of a walk to the beach (there might be a shortcut that we were unaware of) but not a big deal. It's about 1.5km from Odyssea & Baobab Beach Lodge if you are planning to do any diving or snorkeling activities. There is a big supermarket just down the road and a South African shop a little further away as well. We didn't eat out much while we stayed there, partly to save money and partly because we didn't see many options that appealed to us - but we did have a pizza nearby one night which was fine and apparently the sushi place downstairs is very good as well - these are very close by. The staff there are all very friendly & welcoming and Bernd (the owner) helped us book spaces on the bus to go back to Maputo early morning. *Something to be aware of: you need to bring your own towel! We had travel towels (and so did all the other guests as well it seemed) so it wasn't an issue, but I hadn't thought to check before and we'd been given towels at all the other places we'd stayed at before coming so you could get caught out!

Complexo Alemanha offers travelers the best of traveling alone and being able to meet other travelers during breakfast. And the best thing about traveling as a family and enjoying a few days of calm in Vilankulos. It is easy to get to and the staff is very attentive to make your stay perfect. We have gone as a family, and in the low season for usual tourism, and we have really enjoyed living away from luxury lodges full of wealthy tourists. The rooms and common services are clean. The common area has everything to cook (and the market nearby to buy fresh fish). They have been very special days. Thank you so much!

Very nice local place to stay in vilanculos. The staff is lovely and very helpful. You can have breakfast with esplendid views of the islands and the sea. If I go back yo vilanculos ill stay there for sure.

Agreed in good faith that the owner of the complex that a portion of my reservation would be reimbursed after we were unpleased by the conditions of the accommodations upon arrival and chose not to stay. I never recieved the reimbursement and for months they have avoided my messages and failed to return my calls. I feel unfairly treated as a customer.

Worths the money. The cheapest option out there but with several good things offered. Nice garden and place to chill. Not the cleanest rooms.

it is a very disgusting place, they do not have even a reception it's a cigarette. their reception is a cigarette kiosk and they didn't find my booking reservation. i didn't feel safe to stay also felt that the pics were fake.

The place is great. Highly recommended for travelers who like to feel Mozambiuqe. Good rooms. Hot water. Nice view. Very good price. Good restaurant. Meeting place for football watch. Total privacy and security at rooms area. Just great. Love it.

This is probably the best place to stay in Vilanculos if you are a budget traveler! The rooms are basic but everything that matters is there. The basic things even 4 star hotels can't seem to get right in Africa are not a problem here. The hot water is hot, the toilets flush, the rooms have the most effective curtains ever. At 1000met for a double room, I feel this is a very good deal. Only thing that was dificult is the staff not speaking one word of English, so be it, what I'd do then is just display some information in English. How breakfast works for example. We didn't know what time it was, where it was,... Also the food wasn't my favorite but I hardly dare to say anything about it since it is soooo cheap, even cheaper than some local places. But overall this is an amazing place! If you want good accomodation at a real good price this is the place to be!
