Nice place to walk down to after or before the Buddha cave. Not to far and these days they charge you 5k to enter which is fine because you can go to the lake and then the cave. Parking on site is 3k and Buddha cave is also 5k. All in all pretty ok.

Just bring a head lamp & your bathers & follow the path around the side of the lake to access this amazing cave. The water is refreshingly cool & crystal clear. You can swim through the cave, gazing up at thousands of the most spectacular stalactites you’ll ever see & can go about 400m back into the mountain. For me, this was far more impressive than the paid tourist caves … and it’s free!

Currently inaccessible - road flooded and unable to access. Beautiful area full of limestone karsts, worth the ride out here. The road has many potholes but can be ridden/driven!

As caves go, this one is pretty great. Highs: - Viewpoint at the top of the cave - Well lit and accessible - Nice lagoon-side restaurant for some cheap tasty food after. - Cute dogs too:) Lows: - Hard to reach viewpoint if you are unfit or inexperienced with adventurous walks. Tips: - 40,000kip per person. - Can leave your bag at the desk as some bits are a squeeze.

Parking: 3000kip Great place to go for a swim in the cave. Probably it is an amazing experience if you go to the end. I would suggest that you do this with experience caver(tour guide?) or with more people. I went alone to some depth then returned it was a little scary. For going inside necessarily bring headlight. Life jacket, some watershoes, neoprene suit (it was quite cold at the time- 11.12.) recommended. This was so great i did not go to the buddha cave. At the time the bridge was a little destroyed but you can come across and the path overgrown on some places (have to duck).

My favourite part of the Thakhek loop! Bring a head torch, some water shoes and a sense of adventure. There were no kayaks available to hire but swimming in the cave is much more fun. I would definitely recommend this!

Nice small cave with little lake next to it. Close to Buddha cave

Nice cave where you can swim, bring light if you want to go deep inside. After the house on the lake, it is 30-40 meters on the left, just on the left when you start to see rocks (the cave is a bit hidden)

Nice cave. You need a flash light to explore. Free entrance. 3000k for parking.

NO ENTRY POSSIBLE TO THE CAVE! Unfortunately the cave is under construction at the moment. The lake next to it is nice though and the water is very clear.
