This place is worth giving a visit. Nice and peaceful place with ample of space. No shorts/skirts allowed you need to cover your head. They have a small man made pond with clean and pure water flowing through some channels. Overall experience is awesome. A must visit place when you visit Bidar. Thanks

Excellent religious place. Guru Nanak Dev ji, 1st guru of Sikhs visited this place and blessed it. Tasty Langar (food) is served in the langar hall where every body is welcomed to have it. Though it was a Sunday and there was a good amount of rush, still every thing was managed properly. Me and family enjoyed some religious moments.

The Gurudwara is a must visit for people of all beliefs and religions. Makes one feel thankful and closer to the almighty. The premises are clean and organisers and volunteers work hard for maintaining the sanctity of the temple and the convenience of the pilgrims. We spent about an hour, paying our respects, introspecting and then having the yummy Prasadam.

We went here on Saturday, just a weekend visit. The atmosphere is good and plenty of place but the Sikh people here got some rude attitude. As if people of other religions are ignorant. They could show some respect to other people and things can be conveyed in a polite manner.

I love this place. It's a place where guru nanak visited, our 1st guru. It's very important place in Sikhism. I visited here Oct 2021 as a solo travelor from Hyderabad side. Most people come here from Nanded but one can come here by train and bus by Hyderabad route. I take a room here in just 250 and stayed one night their. So anyone come from punjab must visit this place and stay for at least one day. Sangat from hazoor sahib stay only afternoon here. So next time come and stay here and listen havens Kirtan. Waheguru.

Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib is a Sikh historical shrine situated in Bidar, Karnataka. Gurdwara Nanak Jhira Sahib was built in the year 1948 and is dedicated to the first Sikh guru Guru Nanak. Bidar has a very long association with Sikhism as this is the home town of Bhai Sahib Singh, one of the Panj Pyare (five beloved ones), who offered to sacrifice their heads and were later baptised as the first members of the Khalsa. The Gurudwara is established in a nice valley, surrounded by laterite hills on three sides. The shrine comprises Darbar Sahib, Diwan Hall and Langar Hall. In the sukhaasan room, Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikh is placed. There is a separate room called the Likhari Room, where donations are accepted and receipts are issued. Inside Gurudwara Nanak Jhira Sahib A beautiful Gurdwara has been constructed after the independence of India in 1948[1] by the side of the spring. The water from the spring is collected in a small Amrit Kund (a holy water tank) built opposite to the front stairs of the Gurudwara . It is believed that a holy dip is enough to cleanse the body as well as the soul. There is a free community kitchen (Guru Ka Langar) where free food is given to pilgrims 24 hours night and day. A Sikh museum has been built in the memory of Guru Tegh Bahadur, depicting the important events of Sikh history through pictures and paintings. HistoryEdit

One of the largest gurudwara and must visit place in bidar. This place is visited by guru nanak himself. There is water spring which is believed to be raised itself after nanak has put his feet. This guru dwaara also has langar community kitchen which serves food and tea free of cost to all the faiths of ppl.

Gurdwara Sri Nanak Jhira Sahib is as scenic as it is serene and tranquil. From the residential Sarah, you walk past a path of trees and then a bridge to reach the pure and perennial sarovar and then march up the stairs towards central expanse, from where you hear melodious kirtan throughout the way. It is ivory and seamlessly beautiful in daylight and adorned with multicoloured lights in the night. The provisional facilities of various blocks of Sarah are top notch too. Great place.

Devotional place for Sikhs. I have seen people from punjab coming in lorries to visit the place. Any one can enter into the place, no restriction. Only thing you need to cover your head before with cloth or turban to enter into the Gurudwara. Bad experience was, we took the AC room to rest, but ACs are not in working condition and they have charged the complete AC charges even they are not working. Place is neat and clean, staff and people are friendly.

The gurudwara is very large and well-maintained. You also have langar food available for free. You should come dressed decently in suit/saree and full pants. It is compulsory to cover your head with a handkerchief or scarf.

It is the biggest gurdwara in Karnataka and one of the attraction of Bidar city. Many people come here to seek blessings, and to have the holy water from the amrit kund which is said to be the only sweet water source created by Guru Nanak. There's also option of staying with AC and non ac rooms.
