The Fig Tree Cafe is a an oasis when you travel between Ndola and Lusaka. It's one decent place to stop and refresh your self. They have a extensive and sumptuous menu, and the best English breakfast. They also do offer varieties of home made cookies, jams, pasturerised milk, natural yogurt and cakes. They have a very good seating arrangements both indoor and outdoor. The toilets are also very clean which is a very comforting factor. It's a must stop place when travelling between Lusaka and Ndola 😊

The Fig is a great place for a quick bite and hang out in a garden set up. Offers a variety of freshly prepared food and wonderful service. For people in transit, you would do well to make your order in advance. The only downside is it is quite far from Kabwe town (about 7KM) and closes early (by 6pm). Also, the out door sitting is quite basic (rustic) and may not be ideal for a very long visit. Otherwise, great place! Nice food! Update: visited The Fig on 22/07/23 and they have now included couch sitting on one part of the outdoor area making sitting outside ore comfortable and soothing for a good reading day.

A great stop over on the Great North Road. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings now with a craft market inside the grounds allowing for the local entrepreneurs to showcase their products. A great initiative especially as the café produces and sells a lot of locally made foods.

Nice place for quick meals on the outskirts of Kabwe. Very clean place and with a lot of variety. Has a shop for some souvenirs as well and the food is very delicious. Does not open on Sundays. Only open Monday through Saturday from 6am to 6pm. I recommend you make a stop over here and something might become your favourite. Tea and coffee lovers this is your place

Excellent place to stop and refresh , particularly on a very busy Great North road. Peaceful shady garden, great food and very helpful staff. Also very clean facilities. Couldn't fault it , had a very reasonable curio shop on site too

What a lovely relaxed coffee stop, along the Great North Road ;-) Excellent service, super clean loos, and a great little farm stall type shop too, if you need to get any supplies - Congrats Bianca x

Where to start? In a party of seven people, we got one review of the loos - they were standard and definitely better than the public ones found at the malls. Now for the food. It was first rate, we had a variety of things but the chips were piping hot and tasted like fresh potatoes! The burgers were beef burgers and perhaps the best and tastiest example of Zambian nyama! Can't recommend that enough. The coffee was also very nice. This farmstead shop/restaurant is really something and is an ideal spot for visitors who wish to sample the food in a nice locale.

I drop by this place since 7 yrs ago. Recently I visited after COVID, the place well maintained except the price and staff respond toward customers... I felt the casher is kind of indifference toward the customer.

Very tasty food (best hamburger I've had in Zambia), everything was very clean (there weren't even flies outside), a gift shop and Christian bookstore were next to the cafe, and there was even a play area for kids with sandbox and trampoline. The only negative was that the card reader was not connecting, so we had to pay in cash.

Perfect stop over from a long drive. Hot coffees and amazing meals to accompany them. Is driving through Kabwe even worth it if you don't stop over here😉 The Fig tree is probably the only reason I would opt to drive to Lusaka 😅 The stop over is tradition!

Great service as always. I left Lusaka at 5, it was great to be able to stop over early in the morning for a cup of coffee. Measure have been put in place for safe collection of orders social distancing being observed.

Good service and I liked my sweet chilli wrap. The best was the vegetable side of cabbage, the dressing to it was so nice
