Afternoon tea in the coach house. Food was lovely but not enough savory I thought. Menu says choice of teas and coffee but we weren't offered any choices. Enjoyed the lovely background piano music. Still a nice treat

Had an excellent time from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. The staff we met during our stay were friendly, particularly in the restaurant who served us all night. The 5-course meal was delicious from start to finish. And the breakfast was just as good in the castle too the next morning. The room in the castle was fantastic, couldn't have been better. What marred the experience was the 5 days beforehand. With our dog dying & on it's last legs being in the clinic, I communicated this to Reservations and asked if we simply could transfer our paid stay for sometime in 2024. Meaning Reservations isn't out of pocket and we could go when the timing was a bit better. Having communicated about our dog who was poorly, this was the initial response we got back: ''Good morning Niall Thank you for your email We have a 7 day cancellation policy so your booking would be within this period at this stage Please advise I look forward to hearing from you'' We were hoping to go again in 2024, but now we're not so sure. It took the sheen off our stay before we ever stepped foot on the estate.

Wonderful two night stay with our friends - the rooms exceeded all our expectations - beautifully maintained and super comfy bed, had to take the opportunity to soak in the enormous freestanding bath. A couple of us had a facial in the spa and agreed it was the best we had ever had. The evening meals were delicious with plenty of choice - we also enjoyed the opportunity to wander round the castle and the beautiful grounds. We honestly had no need to leave the estate during our stay. Finally a huge thank you to all the staff who, without exception, were friendly and welcoming and made our stay extra special. A truly luxurious and wonderful stay - we can't wait to return.

Luxurious castle experience. Best views. Superb Service: welcoming, kind, attentive. Amazing food. Tasteful designs, furnishings, art. Clean. Immaculate condition (the interior, the grounds even during Nov/Dec heavy rain season). Generous (ie no parking fees, no internet access fees, very generous and beautiful breakfast for two, specious room with a large patio and bathroom, quality linens). The place is run with love and pride; not with a focus on monetization. Very affordable (the price of a below mediocre small room in the US). It looks much better than the photos. So much history and charm. Great location. Many activities. I'll go back to Ireland just to stay here again.

I wish I could give more stars. Perfect setting. Perfect staff. Perfect night. Best hotel I've stayed in Ireland, made special by the special staff. Special shout-out to Darcy and Ash and her minions. Ask for a shot or cocktail of insomnia and thank me later. Credit to the place

We had such an amazing stay. My husband was going fishing in the beautiful lake and I was welcomed with an early check in. Every member of staff is so welcoming and go out of their way to assist. The bedroom in the Lodge was quiet, spacious and comfortable. Our dinner in Snaffles was divine and the welcome in Conors bar afterwards was lovely. I visited the Castle which is a sight to behold and the grounds are so lovely to walk in. I would rate Castle Leslie as top of the Castle hotels that I have stayed in and I look forward to returning.

One of the most amazing wedding venues in the Ireland! As wedding photographers, we get to travel around the world, visiting some of thebest wedding venues. We had the privilege of photographing at Castle Leslie last month, and I have to say it is was a stunning location for a wedding. I would be very excited to get the chance to return. With amazing grounds, very thoughtful and attentive staff and fantastic inside areas for photos it really is the perfect wedding venue. The staff at Castle Leslie were super helpful and the food was absolutely beautiful as is the attention to detail helping you to have the perfect wedding day. If you are looking for one of the most impressive wedding venues in the Ireland, this is surely the one for you!

Myself and wife attended a party of 30 or so guests in private room here. The food was really good,I have absolutely no complaints on that front however my wife's celeriac soup for starter was inedible. The plates remained on the table for 40 minutes after we had finished. Not only the plates remained I had 3 empty pint glasses along with the plates, another guest beside me had to ask to have her empty wine glasses to be removed. The service was shockingly bad for a place of this stature. The grounds and facilities are out of this world here and would still recommend a visit but service has to improve.

Stayed here recently for a wedding. The service was excellent, food was nice and the rooms were beautiful. The grounds are exceptional and lovely to walk around. Loved our stay here.

This is a beautiful house surrounded by breathtaking grounds. Each part of the guest house is decorated with a different theme, allowing you to see a variety of old art. We particularly enjoyed our afternoon tea and spa experience. The assortment of treats was delightful! And our massages were just what we needed to kick off the vacation.

Enchanting Festive Afternoon Tea Experience at Castle Leslie We recently had the pleasure of indulging in the Festive Afternoon Tea at Castle Leslie, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment we were warmly welcomed by Sherri and Antonia, to being seated beside the stunning Christmas tree, our expectations were exceeded at every turn. Having visited for Afternoon Tea previously, we had high hopes, and yet again, Castle Leslie didn't disappoint. They effortlessly accommodated our dietary preferences, ensuring our no meat and pork needs were met without compromising on taste or variety. The sandwiches were delectable, and the array of Christmas-themed desserts showcased the chefs' incredible creativity. What truly elevated our experience was the impeccable service rendered by Sherri and Antonia. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made our afternoon not just enjoyable but truly relaxing. They ensured the Tea flowed seamlessly and catered to our every need without hesitation. They are undoubtedly deserving of recognition, perhaps as employees of the month for their exceptional service. Overall, our time spent here was enchanting—a perfect way to unwind and celebrate the festive season. We highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a memorable afternoon amidst the warmth and hospitality of Castle Leslie.

Had lunch with my 2 sisters, food was a very high standard, waiting staff very attentive. Walked around outside, went to see church where Paul Mccarthy was married, it was closed and also to the grave yard which was very interesting going back 350 years. Couldnt get into the castle as wedding on. Very interesting day.

Beautiful night spent here. Couldn't fault the staff, rooms and the food. It us a bit more expensive but definitely worth the price. Lovely treat and hope to visit again.

What a magical place - I would give Castle Leslie 10 stars if I could. Everything was excellent; the room (gorgeous and so comfortable), the food (utterly delicious), the staff (so welcoming and obviously so well trained), the grounds (stunning), the spa and the equestrian centre. A special shout out to Daniel who was our waiter in Snaffles on the Saturday night - wonderful knowledge, excellent recommendations and lovely manner. Booked our next weekend at Castle Leslie for May and cannot wait to return. Thanks guys :)

Lovely visit back to Castle Leslie for second time this year. Service remains very good and friendly. Dinner was exceptional in Snaffles and rooms really well maintained. There will be a 3rd visit and more.

Wow! Castle Leslie is a DREAM! I waited over 2 years to bring a group of 12 to the Castle and it was well worth the wait! Leslie Castle, the grounds, lodge, and stable are impeccably maintained. Yet it is is the gracious and professional staff that made this experience unforgettable. We felt absolutely ROYAL in your care, Castle Leslie! We are so grateful for your hospitality and the life long memories from our incredible visit!

Where do I begin?! Atmosphere, setting, food, staff, facilities, room… beyond perfect. My only problem was that I didn’t want to leave! This is a gem of a hotel and I will certainly be back, sooner rather than later. Menu was truly outstanding and it exceeded expectations. It’s a long time since I’ve had such an all round positive experience in an Irish hotel. Well done to all involved!

Overall Castle Leslie is a stunning location. The room is gorgeous with a really comfortable bed and decent facilities. We visited for our 1st year anniversary. Regarding service it’s very hit and miss. The receptionist on check-in and the bar staff were fine, but what you’d expect in a standard city hotel, not a “Luxury Castle”. Assigned dinner and breakfast is strange at best. We asked for an earlier breakfast slot as we had booked the spa the following day for 10am and we were met with ‘oh that’s full, but they might be able to fit you in, otherwise you can have it delivered to your room’. When we went for breakfast the following morning there was only 4 tables, of the maybe 25 tables, filled. Breakfast staff were lovely, so were the spa staff. Overall I’d describe the location as 5*, but the food and service levels as mediocre at best. Would probably work well for a wedding, but as a couples break spend your money elsewhere.

Beautiful venue and fantastic service. We stayed for one night for a wedding and loved every minute of it. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful to make our stay as stress free as possible - we were travelling with twin babies so extra help was appreciated! Cliodhna was extremely helpful from the moment we arrived and it made all the difference to our stay. Would love to come back!

I had Afternoon Tea here with 2 friends, whom I haven't seen in over 2 years. The staff were very professional, yet friendly and helpful. The Afternoon Tea was delicious, with a portion of everything, from the menu, for each person. The Afternoon Tea is served in The Lodge, so didn't get to see The Castle or grounds, but it all looked lovely and I will definitely return.

After a recent stay, we left wanting to go straight back to Castle Leslie! The grounds were stunning, and we spent 2-3 hours exploring them before checking into our room in one of the lodges which exceeded our expectations. We then ate in Connor's bar for dinner - chilled environment, tasty food! The breakfast the next morning was the best hotel breakfast either of us ever had! All in all, a wonderful stay and we will be returning. Also, the village of Glaslough is gorgeous and well worth a little wander around. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a staycation!

Was here for a wedding, the grounds, the location, the setting, the service was all absolutely phenomenonal!! Our room wasn't in the castle but in the adjacent lodge & it was a lovely room. The food was also incredible with great variety & quality. There are 4 different walks u can do whilst u are there as well which are all picturesque. When it came time to leaving we did everything we could to stay longer.

Everything about this experience was 5 star. The staff is so gracious. The buildings & grounds are so beautiful & well maintained. We were there for a wedding, it felt like a fairytale. Thanks to Eugene who served us with care & so discreet when we all mistook our fish knife for a butter knife! He was right about our 11:30pm "snack" & was captured in a sweet pic helping the bride & her Mom with the bride's train just before they walked down the aisle. A master class in serving others. Our room was lovely. Hated to leave the next day.
