This is an excellent Arts space in the heart of Monaghan town. Clean tidy and well run. A place where local talent gets to shine. It comprises of two floors. It can be used as an art gallery, theatre and musical performances. The Market House is also a showcase for crafts, writers and poets alike. Visitors can pick up free booklets on local attractions here, as it doubles as a tourist office.

The Market House is a treasure. Beautifully restored heritage building that serves as an Art Gallery and event space upstairs. The sound system is amazingly great considering the challenges presented by an old stone building.

It was a place for the monaghan photographic society to have a club competition until we can get back into our own club house, nice building with plenty of character with many things happening all the time from exhibitions to talks just to n amera a few.
