Nature at its best ,The best place in chamba area to explore..Chamera Lake reservoir constructed along side bank of Ravi river and its tributary Suil river which is spread 13km along side the Suil river and 7km towards Ravi river. Best thing is one can easily view Himalayan Snow covered morticians , lake , Some water sports activity ,Bating,fishing..highly recommended for Nature enthusiast..!

The chamera lake is located at the chamera dam. You can purchase boating tickets at the counter as you wish. There are many options available, we chose the option in which they take you around the whole like, and the sight is amazing. It is very peaceful and you cross mountains once in a while and take in the fresh atmosphere of the lake. And hear the birds chirping and hear the sound of the lake. Surrounded by the mountains and the water, what more you could ask for.

Speed-boating is a must and will cost you ₹400 per head. Though there are other normal boating options available as well at less price. The lake has an amazing color variance. When you look at it from 5 km. back up from the roads you will see a turqoise blue color but when you reach nearby the color seems to be dark green. Loved the serenity over here.

An awesome place to be at with family or friends, there's a dam built on this lake and the view is simply awesome, there is an eatery as well but the prices are expectedly bit high, you can enjoy speed boat & motor boat rides her. The rate for motor boat ride is ₹350 for 30 minutes & ₹450 for 50 minutes which is low inn comparison to the speed boat ride which is expensive & lasts for 8 minutes only. A must visit place if you happen to visit Dalhousie.

Lovely place. It is back water of the dam and situated among beautiful mountains. Boating is different experience and costs min 350/- ticket. Apart from boating, you can go little further for 5 KMS to enjoy beautiful view from different angles. Also visit Bhalei mata temple which is around 7 KMS far from Chamera lake boating point. The temple is situated on top of the hill (not much climbing) and you can enjoy another beautiful view of Chamera lake.

Place is beautiful and scenic. It expand over a large area and is over river Ravi. Boating is available at taleru. You can also book a personal boat from dalhousie as well as at taleru. Food options are not so great near the lake. It is a artificial lake. Over all a refreshing place and do visit for its scenic value. 😊

If you want to go for boating then definitely it's a good place to visit. Though price is little high side for per person as compared to other places in india. Our guide was very humble and nice. A localite person who knew everything about place gave as brief info about late history and about Dan and life about villagers.

Not that exciting place. It's good if you visit this on your trip to Dalhousie and you won't miss anything great if you choose to skip it. Only attraction there is the boating which I found to be overpriced. The lake is clean though with very less to no dirt and pollution.
