I lived at Kinect for a year, and simply cannot recommend enough that you search elsewhere for an apartment. The staff claims to be available to you to fix issues, but when I brought up issues to staff I would always get the "oh that's too bad, we'll send out a memo" response (and never was any sort of memo sent out). This included issues like my car being broken into, packages not being secured inside the package lockers and stolen, trash in hallways, stairwells, elevators, and on the floor in the garbage room. I was also paying over $100/month for secured parking AND $35/month for security. Despite this, my car was broken into, the gate to the garage was broken for over 3 months before I moved out without added security for 2.5 months, and within a week of moving out, I noticed on my daily commute which happens to go past the building, that the gate was broken again (it had been fixed for less than a month). It has been 4 months since I moved out and I've noticed it still hasn't been fixed. It might not be so incredibly frustrating to tenants if the property managers had done more to ensure the security we paid for, reduced fees for secured parking, or responded to feedback in ways other than "there's nothing we can do about it" (when they did respond). Instead I would drive past homeless people in the "secured" garage smoking meth on my way to work in the morning. Inside my apartment was not any better. It was built cheaply. I was the first person to live there, and baseboards were not secured and could be easily displaced by my 7lb cat, the fronts of drawers were only secured with a small amount of cheap wood glue and would fall off, the shower head was not installed properly and leaked (which I put in multiple work orders for) and destroyed the wall due to lack of action from management. When they did respond to my work orders, maintenance would show up and let themselves in without notice. They were "covered" by the electronic work order saying that they could access the apartment anytime after it was submitted, but you did not have the option to change this prior to submitting a work order, violating basic tenant rights. I could continue on for significantly longer, but this small list of complaints (compared to my very long list of grievances) should be more than enough to signal to anyone that this is not a good place to live.

The management for this company likes to advertise certain rates and then then pretend you are mistaken and try to get you to accept a less attractive rate. If you are going to do business with American Property Management be sure to get everything verified in writing before agreeing to work with them or you may end up very unhappy. I found the entire process a waste of time and money, just glad I figured it out before moving forward with them.

Awesome new apartment building with upscale amenities, security and amazing customer service here in the Everett Station District. I love my new kitchen and bath, the hardwood floors throughout my apartment and the natural sunlight that makes the unit cheery and bright.

Management really is great, but the cons far outweigh the pros. First of all, you pay a FORTUNE for parking, and the prices for rent AND parking are going to be going up. It's absolutely outrageous. You pay for secure parking but the gate is broken quite often. Instead of waving the fee while the gate is broken, they still charge you. The fire alarms go off ALL THE TIME. It's gotten to the point where many people don't leave their apartments because they don't believe there is a real problem, which is dangerous. They are really nice apartments, but you can find other places in Everett for a lot cheaper, that offer many of the same things. Cons: Fire Alarms, Parking Cost, Expensive Rent, Can have very inconsiderate and noisy neighbors. Pros: Friendly Management, Gym open 24 hours, in unit Laundry

I filled out the online information which is misleading because they direct you to the application before they ever respond to setting up a tour. They charge you when you submit the application the full introduction rate and their customer service person, Shera Johnson has not been helpful but combative. I was refunded when I disputed it with my bank only to be recharged again. I do not recommend anyone consider Kinect for housing.

Applicants gave a deposit to move in of $400 they found out they weren't approved and still haven't had funds returned to them. No one answers the phones. Can't email anyone? Please contact me

We had a pretty unfortunate move out experience, but Ali made it right. She did a fantastic job at looking into our situation and APM really is a great property management company. My husband and I absolutely loved living at Kinect. We felt very safe the entire time we were there even though it’s off Broadway. Our unit also had a very beautiful view of the Cascades. It was a complete loss on our part that we had to move. If we could, we would move back in a heart beat. Thank you soooo much Ali, we really appreciate everything you did for us

Staff are very helpful and friendly. I really appreciate the focus on gating the apartment and keeping it secure. I also appreciate the recent addition of homey touches like pet pictures in the elevator or events or contests in the lobby.
