I am extremely disappointed with Dr Vishal Sharma, though I would like to note that I have no problem with any of the other doctors or staff at Kaizen Clinics. My criticism is only regarding Dr Vishal Sharma. I will never book another appointment with him and I suggest that you don't either. He overcharged me with no warning or explanation. When I booked my appointment over the phone I was told that it will be bulk-billed (i.e. there will be no out of pocket cost). I attended my appointment and Dr Sharma was polite and helped me with my medical issue. The appointment was short, around 5 minutes, and definitely no longer than 10 minutes, but this length was appropriate for the issue that I had. After my appointment I returned to the receptionist desk and was informed that Dr Sharma would be charging me $75 for the appointment, despite the fact that I was told on the phone that it would be bulk-billed. The receptionist explained that Dr Sharma can charge for the appointment if he deems that it is not a "standard consultation". I requested to speak to Dr Sharma so that he could clarify why he did not regard the appointment to be a "standard consultation", however he refused to speak to me. It is completely unethical, unacceptable and unprofessional to charge more than what was quoted, especially with no warning or explanation.

Thought I had found a new clinic this week for myself and my family, but was appalled when I was told it was mandatory to wear a mask in the clinic when the practice manager doesn't? So disrespectful and unprofessional, do NOT recommend. On the website it lists multiple different locations but there are are two (Oakleigh South and Seville). I clicked on every location and was redirected back to Oakleigh South, except for Seville. This reeks of desperation if you feel the need to mislead customers into thinking you have more locations when in reality you don't. Reading through these 5 star reviews they are obviously fake.

Doctor's are always late in this clinic, you sometimes wait an hour after your scheduled appointment. In our recent (today) experience the clinic had us waiting for almost 30 min untill we could actually see the doctor. When we came into the clinic , we were told imiddietly that the doctor is running late by 10-15 min which eventually ended up as a 25-30 min wait. We have made the point that we have another appointment right after at a different clinic and next time they should call their clients if they know such a delay is predicted, my time is no less important than the doctors (by the way we were told there was no medical emergency today).No real apologies coming from any of the staff members on the fact we were waiting, Moreover, when we came in to see Dr Sharma and told him about the situation he said that this should not have happened and 2 seconds after he decided to say that if we feel uncomfortable with the situation we could go see a different doctor at a different clinic and added thats its fine to wait for him and he does not want to deal with this again (as this was already the second time an appointment is being delayed for so long). We had our entire family coming into the clinic and from now on will not continue to come nor recommend it either. They need to be learning how to treat their customers and respect their time.

Fantastic clinic. Anna, the receptionist is a star - polite and understanding when I was a couple of minutes late (car had a flat battery). Dr Ferwerda was attentive, took the time to explain an issue I was having and I didn't feel rushed out like so many previous doctors.

Seen two different doctors at this surgery in a very short period and had a great experience with both. We are now using this clinic as our local doctor. Its also nice the facility is new and conveniently beside the supermarket.

Dr Sharma is an amazing and excellent Dr. Always spending quality time with me, discussing everything and is very kind and caring. I've been seeing him for 7 years and even when I've moved away from the area, I still went, as he is worth the drive, for sure. I will go anywhere to see him. He's my Dr 🥰

I started seeing dr Sharma when I found out I was pregnant, he was always so caring, kind and supportive and knowledgeable with any questions I had! Clinic is always clean, running on time and friendly. The nurse we see for immunisations with my daughter is always so fantastic with a baby (no fun getting needles) I really couldn’t recommend this place anymore :)

Dr Ether Moses, nurse and the receptionists are very polite and they value your time. Highly recommended!

I recently needed to find a new GP and couldn’t be happier to have found Dr. Anita Nesarajah at Kaizen Clinics. She is the warmest and most thorough doctor I have ever seen. The clinic itself is modern and clean and all the staff are so friendly. Highly recommend!

I have seen 2 doctors at the clinic and both have been wonderful. They were very patient and gentle with my 4 year old son. My family and I are thrilled to have local doctors who are knowledgeable and kind in their approach. Highly recommend!!

I have only ever had the most positive experiences at Kaizen clinic. I have seen 2 of the 3 doctors - I cannot recommend both Dr. Ferwerda & Dr. Nesarajah enough. Tong is also a wonderful, compassionate nurse. Every time my partner & I have been there we have felt supported & understood. We are thrilled to have found such friendly & helpful doctors.

I couldn't agree more with the reviews praising Dr Anita and the Kaizen reception staff. Dr Anita is so knowledgeable, but also kind and so easy to talk to. The reception staff are always so friendly as well. I feel very lucky to be able to attend this clinic!

We normally go to Clayton which was closed on public holiday so I booked this place which is a little further. I am glad I did bc it is spacious, new and most importantly the GP we saw is good. I liked that he spent the time to explain his examination finding. I think we will change our clinic for the whole family.

Dr Anita is absolutely wonderful, the Dr takes time to really listen to why you are there! The doctor also has great information and makes it easier for someone without a medical background to understand.

Clinic is clean and bright. Doctors are kind and patient. On-site nurse is exceptionally caring and professional. Highly recommended.

Always has a smile on her face with a positive attitude and has exemplified on various occasions that she is willing to go above and beyond to get a satisfied client and provide exceptional service. Booked my Pfizer vaccine at this clinic for today. Got 2 confirmation letters: one yesterday evening and another one today in the morning. Left work earlier to be in the clinic on time….. just to see “closed for deep clean…” message on the door. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was phone call, or message, or an email to let people know about canceled appointments? 🤷‍♀️

Only just found out about this local practice when getting my vax and was so impressed I’ve moved over to make Dr. Sharma my regular doctor. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable. I can’t speak highly enough of the care I’ve received!

Very disappointed! My son urgently needed to see the doctor this morning due to an ear infection but was refused treatment due to his high body temperature. Had to drive to children’s hospital in Clayton and when they checked his temperature it was almost normal 37.6. Sometimes Doctors should act like Doctors and provide the suitable treatment needed.

Our family has seen Dr Cees Ferwerda for some years at another clinic. We are now more than happy to travel a little further for the same kind and professional care that he is known for. I never feel rushed and he is very thorough in his approach to treating his patients.

Kaizen is a recently established clinic that is modern and clean. I recently visited this clinic a few times to receive help in resolving a medical issue that I've been struggling with. I received an astounding degree of treatment from both Dr Anita and Nurse Tong as they demonstrated a combination of their expertise, work-ethic and genuine care. My heart was touched after the efforts they went through to make me comfortable in a recent procedure that had been causing me anxiety all week. Thank you

I discovered this clinic only recently, when I was referred by a friend to have my covid vaccine. I have since been back and saw Dr Ferwerda and could not be happier. The practice manager is excellent and very helpful whilst directing me with my specialist appointments. This clinic will now be my family health care clinic.

Dr. Anita Nesarajah is such a great doctor! I highly recommend her. Not only is she attentive and thorough, she's incredibly knowledgeable and really easy to talk to. The clinic itself is always pristine and the reception staff are always friendly and professional. Also, my appointments are nearly always on time and if they're not, it's only ever a slight wait (10 mins or less). I couldn't recommend this clinic more!

The first Dr. we saw was Dr. C Ferwerda, he was such a genuine Doctor. But the 2nd was the asian Dr. He sort of gave us the run around, spent quite a bit on lab fees and testing fees. Had blood tests done 3-4 times in the span of a week, that even the Lab Tech was surprised at the amount of testing that was done. Had us worrying with ominous tones, went from doing lower lever level blood tests to HIV tests for no apparent reason before we cut them loose. Went back to my local GP and he was like, "everything is perfect, why all these tests?". If you want to book with kaizen go with Dr.Ferwerda, or find a different GP, pretty sure it was all about money with the other Doctors.

Worst medical centre ever don’t stand up for yourself just pay the fee or she will kick u out with no repeat emergency script no bother to call n cancel your doctors just leave u to suffer with no medication.. Medical board was definitely interested in them! Anna Gioutsos you should be fired!

I did not have a good experience with the doctor I saw and wrote a poor review. Within half an hour the manager called me and offered me another appointment with another doctor the next day. I must say I did not expect this kind of excellent service and care and hope my subsequent appointment goes well. This is an edit of my initial poor review and I will say that if a clinic cares that much about their clients there must be something good going on at Kaizen.

We went to many clinics and finally got best doctor. I really want to appreciate Dr Vishal Sharma care. He is highly knowledgeable and listen to our concerns. He provides best care. Definitely recommended.

I have been a patient of Kaizen Clinics for the better part of a year now. Doctor Sharma has become an integral factor to understanding my health better. This is the first time in my life that I have had a regular doctor – I am always given the most balanced, fair and reasonable advice possible, free of judgement. Kaizen was one of the few practices in Melbourne I could find that was bulk billed, and I’m glad it was the place I picked. No matter where I live in Melbourne, I feel as if I will always drive to Kaizen.

Dr Sharma is fantastic! He’s a fantastic doctor that listens to your concerns, very caring and actually treats a patient as a person not just a number. I highly recommend Kaizen clinic.
