Joseph Faust, MD, has not have the required qualifications. I was on a visit due to an inflammation of the left eye. Before that, there was an ambulance and they said in two days to make a visit to the doctor. There is inflammation on the eyeball. After the examination, Joseph said that he did not see anything, that I did not need to drip more antibiotics prescribed in the ambulance. When I told him that I had eye surgery as a child - scleral reinforcement, he said never hear about this surgery. Finally, he concluded that I just had a dry eye. A few days later my illness worsened. I made an appointment with another doctor from another clinic, where I was diagnosed with an infection and prescribed treatment. Now I feel much better. Also, the clinic asking you provide full SSN, if not I can go out. This was a first time when clinic asked me provide it. I don’t recommend visiting them.

Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We can start with the appointment I made during my pregnancy when I scheduled an appointment to get my vision checked AND my retinas checked. But when I showed they they told me I scheduled “the wrong appointment” (as if I wasn’t clear from the beginning that I needed my retinas checked as a type 1 diabetic who was pregnant, and instead of apologizing that the front desk made a scheduling error, they put it on me to schedule a separate visit later). Then when I told them to skip the vision test and do the retina exam instead, they seemed so confused and aghast. Why was I getting pushback for this? The doctor also refused to dilate my eyes. The next time I saw a new eye doctor, they caught early stage retinopathy so I can only imagine the damage if I’d I had accepted the results of the non-dilation retina exam. The final straw was when my glasses broke and I called to get my prescription. A week later it arrives in the mail saying it was expired. You couldn’t tell me that over the phone? It would’ve saved me a week of squinting if I’d known it was expired this whole time. I just don’t have time for doctors offices who treat their patients like they’re dumb.

Wow Jonathan Kaufman, what a fantastic job - I took off the patch and I heard church bells. Thank you! Your team was just as excellent! The girl that signed me in was cheerful and smiling. The woman who came out to speak with us and inform us of the situations that would be going on was really on top of it. She mentioned every doctor's name so everyone knew who was involved. She confirmed that everything would work out and said she would be back with updates, and she did! Your team inside was apologetic for the delay. They also continued to engage in conversation as they prepared me for surgery. They were very calm, happy and confident. That’s a first for me - perfect! I only keep her for last because it’s usually the last person you see. The anesthesiologist. What can I say, the best. We even talked about aromatherapy and I got a plug in for Aveda! If I could, I would bring my staff in to witness true harmony. At my year end meeting, I will be talking about this experience. Excellence in service!

In June and now as of Wednesday July 19th I had cataract surgery by Dr. Kaufman and Vivity lens implants done and I cannot say how grateful I am to Dr. Kaufman and the staff. Every appointment is on time and the staff are just wonderful! Dr. Kaufman is so outstanding and performed the surgery with skill like no other. My result after surgery is that my vision is back to 20/20. There are not enough words to express how wonderful I feel having my eyesight fully restored. Thank you, Dr. Kaufman and staff; YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

We came to Kaufman Eye Institute due to my husband having pain in his eyes. The receptionist was very helpful on the phone and booked us an appointment fairly soon. My husband's primary language is Spanish, and they accommodated him with someone who spoke Spanish. Dr. Jonathan Kaufman was the doctor we saw, and he was very nice and knowledgeable. He explained in detail what was going on with his eyes. We booked a follow up appointment with the girls at the front and they give my son stickers which was so nice. We will continue to see Dr. Kaufman W.C.

I love coming to this eye institute! Everyone is so friendly and very caring! Jennifer is very sweet and just love seeing her every visit! I just got Lasik with Dr Jonathan Kaufman and after two years of contemplation and being scared, he made the whole process so comforting!! He explained everything I would experience and the surgery was a success!! I had a follow up the next day and a week after. I have another follow up a month from now so not only did he provide a great caring service but he’s continuing to monitor the progress a month later. He provided me with his personal cell for anything that I may need or questions I may have and when I did freak out, he reassured me and helped ease the anxiety and he is always so responsive. If I wouldve known how comforting he was and how well the surgery went, I would’ve done this 10 years ago!! Although 30 isn’t that old lol. Definitely recommend going to see Dr Jonathan Kaufman !!! Thank you all again!!!

Just had LASIK done here and it was spectacular! Dr. Kaufman did a full consultation to make sure it was right for me before approving me. There were multiple pre-op appointments where he explained to me start to finish what to expect and the procedure went perfectly. It was a quick procedure but Dr. Kaufman and his team didn’t make me feel rushed and took their time making sure I was comfortable and we got it done right. I’m a week post-op now and my vision is incredible. I’ve had glasses since I was 9 and have wanted LASIK for years, I’m so glad I found Kaufman Eye!
