Serene place where you feel you are stepping back in time. It’s not hard to imagine what life would have been like 100 years ago as you walk the paths and visit the historic homes. Between 11-2 stop into the cafe for a snack and enjoy the lovely view. I plan to return to this peaceful oasis soon.

The entrance fee is $15 for adults and i think it was worth it. The grounds were well maintained, and you can take lots of pretty pictures. The bay view and the garden views are beautiful. There's also a food truck available serving lunch and snacks until 2 pm. The only complaint i have is that we found out there was an AR art exhibit going on when we were leaving. You are supposed to download an App in order to see it. We didn't know about it and the staff didn't tell us when we purchased the tickets.

Beautiful spot for a stroll and some history. 🛑The footbridge is currently closed. ⭐I couldn't find a cafe menu online anywhere so I posted a pic here. PRO tip: Make sure you bring a water bottle! There is a refill station inside the cafe.

Very nice historic area and botanical garden. I joined them for the free tour, led by volunteers, and it was excellent. If you get tired, hot or need assistance, they have volunteers on golf carts/trams that can pick you up. Even in June, although it was hot, it was worth it. Since the property was picked and developed on high land next to the water, there were very nice breezes in many of the locations, plus there are a few museums you can escape to that are air conditioned. I went to both this site and the botanical garden in Sarasota and they are both very well worth it and enjoyable. Thank you!

This little gem is tucked outta the way but worth every second you take to find it. My wife and I have passed it 100 times but never stopped in till now. What a pleasant surprise to see so much history right under our noses. Great views into Sarasota/Osprey history and terrific views of little Sarasota Bay.

Excellent Halloween show. Despite the huge interest, there was no queue. Superb organization. Scary figures, face painting, a maze gave the kids exciting experiences. Restrum of good quality, food trucks served the visitors. The tour could have been made with dogs, but we did not seen any.

This is a beautiful place to visit!! The knowledge the staff is glad to impart about the history of the property is fascinating. Don't miss out on the "Seeing the Invisible" art exhibit currently featured. It is truly extraordinary & unlike any experience currently in our local area!! Be sure to download the app before you get there to save time.

For old Florida history in an encapsulated area, this is the place to go. The amazing tales of the families and what they did to encourage the growth of the area is fabulous. The grounds are maintained and presented almost exclusively by volunteers. The docent, Jim, at the Guptill house was incredible. He had us living the family's adventures for 30 minutes. The butterfly house was a bonus treat. So much beauty flying around you. Loved it!!! A hidden gem, this is a great place to spend a few hours on a hit afternoon. The paths are mostly shaded. Restroom were clean and obviously well cared for.

Tickets were $15 and blink and you’ll miss the turnoff We went here to check it out as a potential event venue. The walk itself is beautiful and I the sunken aqueduct was a delightful surprise. It was a nice king beautiful walk with many hidden water views. Don’t miss the butterfly garden! As a event venue, none of the big open spaces seemed to have water views(?!) instead, there were beautiful areas and then there was event space. Never the two shall meet if you have a group bigger than 50.

Went to the gardens at Spanish point for the Halloween light event. It was really good. However we went to the 630 time and it was still bright out so I suggest going to the 730 time because the lights just pop better.

Went here recently with my reciprocal membership for the first time, and really enjoyed it. Lots to learn, and beautiful sights to see. My family loves to explore, and this is the perfect place. It isn't too long for the kids to get tired out, but it isn't to short to make the drive not worth it. We happened to go around Halloween, so they had the place spookified too, which the kids loved. Will definitely be going back!

Everything was clean. THEY HAVE AC IN THE BATHROOM. The exhibits weren’t explained very well by the (staff/or/volunteer?) though. There are tons of exhibits, they have an AR app, get that in advance. 4 star because of the staff/volunteer.

A wonderful little spot we stumbled on, costs us about $15/person we were able to finish in about 2 hours at a leisurely pace. Very picturesque but also a lot of plaques with information if you were interested. Everyone we met was very knowledgeable and friendly.

This is by far one of the most beautiful places I've been over the years. It's a nice and cozy little walk, there's an absolute ton of history there and the scenery is ethereal.

A great place to go for a walk - through the woods, along the bay. Lots of historic structures. Very helpful and friendly staff. Easy to walk paved well maintained trails.

Spanish Point is a perfect venue for your wedding. We had the pleasure of photographing Shina and Stuart on the property and it was simply gorgeous, a photographer's dream. Thanks so much for having us and we hope to one day return.

A relaxing day with a beautiful orchid show for their 50th anniversary. The grounds are beautiful. Good for relaxing and came home with a gorgeous hanging orchid.

Tim was so helpful and friendly. Not only did he efficiently guide us through the entry process, but he also took the time to print and provide valuable information about the questions I asked. His dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience for visitors was evident as he went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.

What a fantastic way to spend a morning or afternoon! We were able to enjoy a history tour tour when we arrived. Our guide was knowledgeable and spent so much time answering our questions and explaining the history of this beautiful place. It's a great place to just walk around and enjoy the scenery and history. Highly recommend!

I was on my motorcycle and didn't have GPS in front of my eyes. I was looking for the sign said 'Marie Selby botanical garden' on the side of the road but not visible. The garden is in The Historic Spanish Point. I finally found it and enjoy my visit.
