Got my baby's birth certificate they were quick and didn't make me wait long and it was not that packed either very quick and very friendly people who work there as well

Only took like 5 minutes to fill out a form, and very my birth certificate printed out, nice and quick....

I called around 8:45 AM and asked if I needed to make an appointment or if I could walk in for obtain my birth certificate. I was told “just walk-in, bring your photo ID and $14”. Upon arrival, I was greeted coldly and told I needed an appointment and if I didn’t have one, I’d need to make one and come back. What’s frustrating about this is that I also have a job, and I took today off to get this task done under the advice that I could just walk in. When I told her “but I called this morning and your office told me I could walk in any time,” she responded “I understand that but people are on lunch right now.” At 11 AM - people are already on lunch and I can’t get done what I need to get done because the entire office is apparently on lunch. Now, I have to take ANOTHER day off work to actually get this done. The lack of consideration for my circumstances and the lack of kindness and respect is appalling and surprising. Make an appointment because otherwise, you’ll end up missing two days of work trying to get a piece of paper printed off.

Need a birth certificate? It is quicker to WALK there than order it! I mailed a request for my birth certificate around March 16th. With my credit card information. I called 17 days later and was told it was "in a pile." WOW! Now, nearly a month later, I still don’t have it. If two pieces of paper take a month, you might want to note that on your website. I ordered my marriage certs from the Courthouse and it took two days TOTAL for them to get to me at about 10% of the cost. You will never convince me that they are that buried with requests. Ever.

Don't be fooled by the place marker on the map for Vital Statistics, the actual location is the very first door on the south end of the Department of Health Mid County Health building.

Dont be deceived by some of these comments. The average wait time is 30 minutes but you WILL wait longer. There was noone there except the staff and they gave me a number and told me to wait. All i wanted to get was a copy of my son's birth certificate. I do want to add that ms. Bass was very nice and helpful. Just a very long wait on a Tuesday @ 10:30 am.

poor quality of service and care for client. Maria the front desk attendant is extremely rude, unprofessional, and argumentative. I’d recommend choosing another health department!

Why is this office even open?!?!?!?!? They don’t ever do anything for you or help with anything!!!!!!!!!! Lisa and Katie are the only nice lady’s in this office everyone is miserable. If you don’t like your job then quit so everyone doesn’t have to deal with you. Stay away from this office!!!!!!!!

Website did not indicate they were having a yearly training day so I drove 30 minutes to find out no one was there. Seriously, either put it on your site or do the training day on a day offices are normally closed.
