When we moved here we were told that quality health care was hard to find in this area and sure enough it’s was true. Absolutely the worst experience with a doctors office. Was a new patient and provided an updated address to them which was never entered into their system. I received a termination letter from the Digestive Health group for failure to pay a bill that I never received. No one attempted to call me (they had the correct phone number on file), they had my email address but didn’t use it and no one notified me at my last visit that there was an outstanding balance. The Digestive Health group automatically sent it to collections and now I have to deal with that headache because someone in their office didn’t do their job! I would not recommend Dr. Colton and I am now looking for a new GI.

I'm very impressed with Dr Colton and his staff. The office is lovely and exceptionally clean. Every staff member was friendly and competent. Dr Colton was personable, informative, competent, generous with his time and reassuring. I'm so pleased my primary care physician recommended Dr Colton.

Saw Dr. Colton last month. Dr. Colton is new to Fl and the PC area. Port Charlotte is very fortunate to have Dr. Colton. OMG. Imagine a doctor who truly listens and shows genuine concern for his patients. He takes his time and actively engages his patients. He is professional, kind and down to earth. Dr. Colton told me he would not do a colonoscopy on me without first obtaining a cardiac consult due to my medical history. I had seen a different gastro prior to seeing Dr. Colton and he wanted to put me on his colonoscopy conveyer belt after a 5 minute initial consult! Dr. Colton had my back! Office & clerical staff are primo and a pleasure to work with.

I went to another gastro office in Punta Gorda a little over a year ago,because of discomfort. I wasn't notified that I'd Only be seeing the NP. I walked outta there with a prescription for pills for an ulcer ,without ever seeing the doctor. Well,I never went back. I told my primary I needed another gastroenterologist, he referred me to Dr. Colton. Today I finally consulted with him....he was a delight!!! A breathe of professional fresh air!!. His staff was very accommodating and friendly, and even made me laugh in my anxiety. His treatment plan was exactly what I was praying for!!... So kudos to you Dr. Colton!!... I was overwhelmed with a sense of relief and gratitude!!... Thank you!!

First time visit I am very impressed with this doctor and his staff. After gathering all my history a procedure plan was explained in detail and scheduled. While very professional, Dr. Colton is also personable and caring. I have confidence that all will go well.

Had an upper endo done and was a very easy, pleasant, experience. All the staff in his office and at the surgery center in venice, were very friendly, and helpful. I would definitely recommend Dr Colton.

Dr. Colton is an extremely caring and compassionate doctor. He is very professional and genuine as well. Also, he wants to make sure you understand the course of action and if not, he will answer any of your questions you may have. I strongly suggest Dr. Colton if you are having GI issues.
