Beautiful architecture but again our emphasize was on tombs instead of teachings (capacity building) of these pious and wise people as results their teaching vanished and only tombs are sustaining by idlers.

A piece of muslim cultural heritage and a divine place. Evenings or cold weather is recommended for visit. Otherwise, multan's temprature can be difficult to bear. There are different shrines inside qila. It is slightly on top and the view of city is beautiful. There are tuc shops, big gardens in surroundings. Be careful and wear masks. The place is croweded and general carelessness observed.

Tomb of Bahauddin Zakariya, a renowned muslim scholar and sufi saint. Structure represents earliest example of distinctive Multani styled architecture. A square plan to octagonal shift with a central dome and small corner minarets. The mausoleum was almost completely ruined during the Siege of Multan in 1848 by the British, and was faithfully restored upon it's original foundation by Makhdum Shah Mahmud a few years later. Shaykh-ul-Islam Bahau-ul-Haq and al-Uddin Zakaria Multani Suhrawardi, peace be upon him, the great sages and sages of the Suhrawardia chain have passed away. Hafiz, Qari, Muhaddith, Mufsir, Alam, Fazil, Arif, Wali were everything. Sheikh al-Shayukh Abu Hafs was the caliph of Shahabuddin Suhrawardi. 7th century Hijri is recognized as Mujadadi. He was a great preacher of Islam. Your ancestor Amjad came to Khwarazm before Makkah, then settled permanently in Multan. You were born here in 578 AH, you are Sadat Hashmi.

The tomb is considered to be one of the most important shrines in southern Punjab province, and is the prototype for Multan's distinct architectural style. The shrine is surrounded by hundreds of secondary graves belonging to descendants and devotees of Bahauddin Zakariya.

A very spiritual & peaceful place to visit in Multan. The devotees come here & pray for their wishes. But, this place is also filled with scammers who loot people on behalf of this place & demand money. These sacred places should be free from such people.

In the shadow of the Tomb of Shah Rukn-e-Alam, lays yet another mausoleum: the Shrine of Bahauddin Zakariya. The temple is identical in almost every way but lacking some of the grandiose that make its neighbor a wonder of craftsmanship. This Sufi shrine is more of a spot where travelers can attempt to catch another unique glimpse at Sufi traditions rather than gaze at the intricate architecture. With flowers in hand, many devotees enter the interior of this dome to pray in front of the casket of Bahauddin Zakariya and throw pink flower petals on his grave as a form of respect. Built in the year 1262, this tomb, much like the others in Multan Fort, allows visitors to step back into the past to a simpler time before extremism and terrorism. This mausoleum in-particular is known for its qawwali nights, music played on the harmonium after evening prayers. As the sun sets, Muslims from throughout Multan will congregate in the courtyard, sit on the ground and sway back and forth as the sound of songs echoes out into the night.

During our recent trip to Multan, Pakistan, we had the incredible opportunity to visit two remarkable shrines, the Shrine of Hazrat Bahauddin Zikria Multani and the Shrine of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam. These sacred sites hold immense significance for both the locals and people from various parts of the country who come to pay their respects and seek blessings. Our journey began with a visit to the Shrine of Hazrat Bahauddin Zikria Multani. As we entered the premises, a sense of tranquility enveloped us. The beautiful architecture, adorned with intricate designs and vibrant colors, immediately caught our attention. The shrine's grandeur and elegance were truly awe-inspiring. Inside, we witnessed devotees engaging in prayers and expressing their devotion to Hazrat Bahauddin Zikria Multani, a renowned Sufi saint. The atmosphere was filled with a profound sense of spirituality, as the rhythmic recitation of religious verses resonated through the air. The fragrance of incense and the soft glow of candles further added to the ethereal ambiance. We took our time to explore the intricacies of the shrine, marveling at the intricate calligraphy and artwork that adorned its walls and ceilings. The exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail were a testament to the devotion and reverence held for the saint. It was a humbling experience to witness the unwavering faith of the pilgrims who had traveled from far and wide to seek solace and guidance at this sacred site. Afterward, we made our way to the Shrine of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam, another revered figure in the history of Multan. The shrine's architecture, featuring a magnificent dome and minarets, was a sight to behold. The atmosphere here was no less enchanting, with the sound of qawwalis (Sufi devotional music) echoing throughout the complex. Inside the shrine, we were captivated by the tomb of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam, adorned with exquisite tile work and intricate marble carvings. The vibrant colors and geometric patterns added to the visual splendor of the place. We joined in the prayers and observed devotees making offerings and seeking blessings. The sense of unity and devotion among the pilgrims was truly inspiring. Our visit to Multan wouldn't have been complete without exploring the Heritage Museum at Qasim Bagh. This museum is a treasure trove of Multan's rich cultural heritage and history. We were fascinated by the extensive collection of artifacts, including ancient pottery, sculptures, and intricate jewelry, showcasing the city's artistic traditions and craftsmanship. As we strolled through the museum's exhibits, we learned about Multan's significance as a center of trade and cultural exchange throughout history. The museum provided a captivating insight into the region's diverse past, from the Indus Valley Civilization to the Mughal era and beyond. It was a delightful experience to immerse ourselves in the vibrant history and heritage of Multan. Overall, our visit to the shrines of Hazrat Bahauddin Zikria Multani and Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam, along with the Heritage Museum at Qasim Bagh, left an indelible impression on us. The spiritual aura, architectural splendor, and cultural richness we encountered during our trip were truly unforgettable. We left with a deep appreciation for the religious and cultural heritage of Multan, cherishing the memories of this extraordinary journey.

Prahlad Puri Temple made 2000years ago was demolished to make this shrine. Infact ruins of temple are still there...demolished by Sher Shah Suri in 14th century to build a mosque.

The shrine itself looked really beautiful (it did) but the people are ruining it's Beauty by using it as a religious symbol. I saw people doing weird things like rubbing their heads to the wall (and many other stuff) idk it was super weird for me. I had to ignore all of that and just enjoyed the beauty of the shrine itself. I don't want to talk about the museum cause if I would i will only say bad stuff about the building, the way they have kept the museum.. I mean it's better to not to talk about it. Yeah if you want to see the shrine bare foot on a 30 degree day then you do have to ignore some dark parts of it (even if you don't want to)
