Update:
I
am
increasing
my
previous
rating
because
after
reading
this
review
Dr
Dar
offered
to
replace
the
broken
crown
on
#19
at
no
cost.
He
was
very
kind
and
gracious
about
the
situation.
I
am
grateful
for
his
willingness
to
make
things
right
even
though
he
is
not
the
dentist
who
did
the
original
work.
Original
review:
I
received
two
crowns
from
Timber
Dental
in
2021.
The
first
was
in
September
on
#18.
The
Second
was
in
December
on
#19.
At
the
end
of
July
2023
my
crown
on
#18
fell
off
while
I
was
eating
mashed
potatoes.
I
was
informed
by
Dr
Dar
that
he
would
address
the
problem
without
charging
me
because
the
crown
had
recently
been
placed
and
should
not
have
fallen
off.
Upon
further
inspection
he
explained
that
there
was
not
enough
tooth
wall
to
restore
the
crown
(the
likely
reason
it
had
not
stayed
put)
and
that
it
would
require
extreme
measures
that
may
end
in
a
root
canal
to
try
to
keep
the
tooth.
Based
on
his
evaluation
I
opted
to
have
the
tooth
removed
and
was
sent
downtown
to
see
an
oral
surgeon.
It
took
a
month
to
get
an
appointment
with
the
oral
surgeon
who
agreed
that
the
tooth
needed
to
be
pulled.
He
showed
me
images
and
explained
that
in
addition
to
pulling
the
tooth
a
bone
graft
would
be
necessary
to
maintain
the
bone
density
of
my
jar
and
that
without
it
I
would
have
"bone
atrophy"
and
"disfigurement"
to
my
jaw
and
face.
I
was
then
sent
to
talk
to
the
front
desk
who
explained
they
could
get
me
in
later
that
day
for
the
surgery
and
I
would
need
to
pay
a
little
over
$3000.
I
asked
why
so
much
for
a
necessary
procedure
when
I
have
good
insurance
and
the
only
answer
I
could
get
was
that
the
surgeon
was
not
in
network.
This
is
not
true.
The
truth
I
have
learned
is
that
my
insurance
does
not
cover
bone
grafts
at
the
time
of
extraction
because
they
are
not
considered
necessary
but
nobody
explained
this
to
me.
I
left
completely
devastated
with
an
exposed
tooth,
no
idea
what
to
do,
and
no
others
options
offered
to
me.
I
have
since
gotten
the
tooth
extracted
by
another
oral
surgeon
who
was
able
to
clearly
explain
my
options
based
on
my
insurance
coverage
including
explaining
why
a
bone
graft
is
not
necessary
because
the
bone
will
grow
back
on
it's
own.
I
have
had
4
wisdom
teeth
removed
but
no
holes
in
my
jaw
because
the
bone
filled
in
the
sockets.
In
October
2023
while
I
was
still
trying
to
figure
out
what
to
do
about
my
missing
crown
on
#18,
my
crown
on
#19
partially
broke
off
while
I
was
eating
macaroni
salad.
I
went
back
to
Timber
Dental
and
this
time
was
treated
with
little
compassion
or
patience.
I
was
told
the
problem
with
my
crowns
was
my
fault
because
I
probably
grind
my
teeth
and
I
should
get
a
tooth
guard.
The
crown
on
#19
could
be
replaced
but
it
would
cost
me
$1000
because
my
insurance
only
covers
one
crown
per
tooth
every
7
years
so
this
would
be
out
of
pocket.
When
I
pushed
for
them
to
honor
the
fact
that
I
had
already
paid
for
2
crowns
that
each
had
lasted
less
than
2
years
I
was
told
crowns
do
not
come
with
a
warranty
and
the
dentist
actually
told
me
"I
don't
know
how
much
sugar
you
eat."
to
emphasize
that
the
crown
breaking
was
probably
my
fault.
I
eat
very
little
sugar
but
I
am
pretty
sure
sugar
does
not
impact
the
integrity
of
the
porcelain
so
I'm
unsure
how
this
was
even
relevant
except
as
an
attempt
to
shame
me
into
compliance.
Again,
I
left
with
no
affordable
options
presented.
I
did
request
that
the
situation
be
reconsidered
by
management
and
received
a
phone
call
a
couple
weeks
later
confirming
that
the
problem
was
mine
and
there
was
nothing
further
they
could
do.
