Kalyan Junction is a major railway junction station on the central line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network, lying at the junction of the north-east and south-east lines of the suburban Mumbai division of the Central Railway, 54 km north-east of Mumbai. Kalyan station is the most important station on Central Railway, two lines depart from here, one goes to Nashik side and the other goes to Khopoli and Pune side. Cleanliness is taken care of at Kalyan station, only some people eat paan and other spit on the bridge, strict action should be taken against them

One of the biggest junction after CSMT and Mumbai Central. Caters to both local trains and intercity-interstate mail trains. It's a busy railway station with 7 platforms. Outside of station (platform 1) is quite congested with traffic. There is also a State Transport (ST) bus depot just outside of platform 1. One can catch buses to rural areas from here. Hotels and lodges are available just outside the station. All up and down trains halt at this junction.

One of the best Railway Junction to connect for all places in the South. Busiest Railway with heavy crowded, the staff maintains the premises well yet many people spit in open places by having pan and other stuff, Railway police has to take strict actions against the people who spit in public places. All the facilities are available with local trains connecting to Mumbai and other places, Indian railways has to renovate this Kalyan Junction at the earliest and provide world class infrastructure to the passenger and make it pride in terms of infrastructure and surrounding areas.

The junction is OK. The advantage is it connects to much smaller places and cities. Even there are people from Navi Mumbai who prefer to catch outstation trains from here. Be aware of pickpocketing here. Also if you are traveling from outstation and not familiar with local crowd avoid talking to auto drivers or taxi drivers. They will charge more than OLA and UBER.

Had to wait long hours here because our train was late. It was raining, the vibe was somewhat alright. Very crowded though.

Kalyan is a main station in the Konkan Railway route. This station connects the trains from the southern part to northern part of India and vice versa. It is in Maharashtra state. The station is well maintained and the staffs are trying to keep the station neat and clean. All the trains have stop here. Amenities are good enough.

Important junction before Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Almost all trains stops here . Having 7 platform. Busiest station in central Railway. From this junction line diverts to South side and towards eastern and central line. No so clean station.. Waiting room is there however not so clean . Station premises and over bridge become chock a block during busy time. This junction also handle Mumbai local train. Outside station it is a mess. Auto rickshaw drivers make it worst. In East side , overbridge towards lokgram is still not function. Needs serious improvement.
