So finally I visited this restaurant after years of making unsuccessful plans. 1st thing 1st... Its OVERHYPED!!! 2nd its HIGHLY OVERPRICED COMPARED TO THE QUANTITY SERVED!!! 3rd! The SERVICE STAFF REFUSES FOR CARD/ONLINE UPI PAYMENTS says only cash payment accepted here... later had to talk to manager at the counter nd paid via UPI Coming to the food We ordered for chicken leg (₹210).. Tava Butter chicken (₹280) and 2 roomali rotis (₹30 each) The leg was so small for the price charged!!! And it wasn't even tandoored it was more of a fried chicken! Trust me u can easily get tandoori leg piece for 80-90rs which tastes 10tyms better dan wat we were served here!!!! The butter chicken good in taste BUT it just dont justify the price vs portion factor!! Felt the service slowww No spoons given even when asked for it...the staff just ignored it... JUST TO CONCLUDE THE EXPERIENCE IN 2 WORDS #OVERHYPED #OVERPRICED. Just encashing the old goodwill..

Heard a lot about this place, and came out a bit disappointed if not much. Taste was just decent, service was okay, nothing extraordinary about it. They have made a name over the years but I felt that traditional vintage touch was missing. If only talking about the authenticity, found the neighbouring Baghdadi restaurant a lot better, but then they have very limited menu compared to these guys. Overall, good place to have some decent food, but certainly not a must visit.

Best place for having food outside. They are famous for non veg dishes but their veg dishes are also yum 😋. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian people can go and enjoy the food there. There's a long waiting time , but totally worth it.The best part is vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is prepared seperately. They have two outlets veg and non veg. And they keep the table well cleaned and sanitized after every serve.

Conveniently placed in the lane next to Hotel Taj Palace. The ordered dishes were superbly done. Kebabs with just perfect grilling. Though the portions served were not generous in quantity for the subjected price. Kebabs needs a special mention. I was completely blown away by the choice of ingredients and the way each of them are being treated here. The cuts, the sears, the frying, the measurements, everything just right. The dinner was an absolute delight to my taste buds. Service was brisk, staffs were courteous. But somehow felt the place is damn over-rated. To my surprise, they accept only cash; that's somewhat unacceptable. You gotta love the vibe of the place on weekend nights. Recommended !!

Best place for having food outside. They are famous for non veg dishes but their veg dishes are also awesome. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian people can go and enjoy the food there. Sitting arrangement are also best. Interior are like old style. Spacious area. There's no much waiting time normally, but during any festival if crowd is more you'll have to wait Lil bit. And they keep the table well cleaned and sanitized after every serve.

It was awful. Don’t believe the hype! It was not the same Bademiya what it used to be. We ordered Mutton seekh kabab, Chicken Leg, Mutton Bhuna, Chicken bhuna, Mutton Kheema fry which was ok but you’ll get way better taste in any other road side random restaurants in Mohammed Ali road or in Jogeshwari. Chicken Biryani;it was such a waste, my question is why you want to add a dish on a menu when you already know you screwed up that dish? You guys have a such prime location but you are just abusing it. Ambiance: 3/5 (just table and chairs) Taste: 2.5/5 (Spoiling the name of Mughlai cuisine ) Hygienic: 3.5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Value for money: 2/5 (complete rip-off for the kind of food they serve) Recommend dish: Water bottle

One of the best place around Mumbai to have non-veg food especially at night. They serve hot and quick, but the queue is long as it is always crowded throughout the year. We had ordered Chicken seekh kabab, Chicken tikka roll and Butter chicken roll. We also tried veg aloo Patty roll and Paneer roll. Veg rolls were just ordinary. If you visit this place do try non-veg. Summary : Ambience - 3/5 Service - 4/5 Food - 4/5 Cost - 600/- for 2

The hype is long gone. Food is pretty ordinary and the place is only running on the legendary name and fame. Probably the last time I'd dine here. Quality of mutton was pretty bad and the kababs were tasteless. Even the famed bhuna is no longer the great taste.

Very costly waste of time and money, taste is not according to what they charged. Mutton Bhuna was just ok ok, Rumali Roti was good. Chatni served with onion was tasteless. 🚫Mutton Biriyani : We have no idea what was served on name of Mutton Biriyani. We tasted it and didn't eat it. Taste: 2/5, Service: 4/5, Ambiance: 3/5, Value for money: 2/5

Bademiya Restaurant, a culinary destination with a diverse menu, caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, offering a range of dishes from biryanis to kababs, tandoori delights, and even Chinese cuisine. The biryanis, available in both veg and non-veg options, showcase a decent or commendable taste, falling into the range of average to good. The aromatic flavors and well-cooked rice contribute to a satisfying dining experience. However, the price point might be on the higher side, reflecting the quality of ingredients and preparation. The kababs, a highlight of the menu, are crafted with expertise, whether you opt for veg or non-veg varieties. The tandoori options add a smoky and charred dimension to the culinary journey. While the taste is generally good, the price tag may leave some patrons expecting a more exceptional flavor profile for the cost. The inclusion of Chinese cuisine diversifies the menu, providing an alternative for those seeking a departure from traditional Indian flavors. However, the taste here tends to align with the overall theme – generally good but not extraordinary. In terms of ambience, Bademiya Restaurant offers a welcoming environment, and the service is typically attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. In summary, Bademiya Restaurant is a decent choice for those craving a mix of Indian and Chinese flavors, with the biryanis, kababs, and tandoori dishes being the standout offerings. While the taste is generally good, the higher prices may be a consideration for some diners looking for a more exceptional gastronomic experience.

Colaba outlet has ample seating. Looks hygenic and clean. Bademiyan seems to have declined in quality over the years. Chicken biryani had half of the chicken pieces which were stale and dry. Decent mughlai cuisine at decent rates. Veg options were surprisingly better than the non-veg ones. No parking around here, you will have to park 5mins away at YMCA.

It is situated behind Taj Hotel. Sometimes it is crowded. Very fresh and tasty food, overall quality of the food, is good. Their specialty is kebabs and tandoor. I had seekh kebab both chicken and mutton. The size or the quantity was less I think. 'quantity is less quality is good'👍 Every dish I had was good. They have an 'only veg counter' for those who are vegetarian.

We ordered Rumali roti - 1 is enough for one person and it was made of whole wheat. Chiken bhuna- taste was okay. Chiken seek kabab- we ordered 1 plate and there was 3 pieces, they have one of the best kababs in mumbai. Mutton biryani-it was not at all good.. not worth of the price Butter Chiken-taste n look was very different from the butter chicken, they just added the sugar in the normal chicken They can improve little bit with the ambience and can also add the washroom facility.

BadeMiya is one of its kind road side tandoor and mughlai eatery counter, started allmost 75 years ago and serving delicious kababs till late night. Over throughout the years taste and service is varies time to time but U can enjoy midnight grilled items with a breeze of sea side. Spicy fresh grilled Kababs, Tikka n Tikka rolls, Tandoori Chicken, and various type of Rolls are specialty here. Price is little higher as compared to other road side eateries. Food quantity is reduced now a days. Quality and taste is awesome. One must try famous bademiya seekh roll. Place is mostly crowded, Staff is trained fast and car parking is available by them. Normally open till late night.

Iconic kebab restaurant since 1946. Situated just behind the TAJ palace road, Colaba. Very much overhyped. Food tatse was good but service, hygiene and cleaniness is worst. You can try both veg & non- veg option in kebab, rolls, tawa, sigdi, biriyani & Indian roti. Make sure to have cash in your wallet before you dine since they wont accept digital payment nor UPI.

Location: Placed in the lane next to Hotel Taj Palace. Too crowded during weekends but You gotta love the vibe of the place. Ambiance: They have seating area separate from actual preparation counter. We had to wait for around 30-40 mins to get a table for 6 people. We somehow adjusted 6 people in a table of 4 people. Very suffocating place, no washrooms available. In case of emergency for small kids and ladies they need to go out to BMC washrooms which are very unhygienic. Owner should think about the same an should take appropriate action. Food: Taste wise food is awesome atleast for me and my friends. We had ordered baida roti, chicken bhuna and rumali roti, seekh kebabs and matka rabdi for desserts. Especially seekh kebabs were too good. it just melted in the mouth. Though the portions served were not sufficient in quantity compared to the price. Staff: Waiters are natural computers, they remember multiple orders from multiple tables accurately in their minds. Service was quick, staffs were polite. But somehow felt the place is too over-rated. Payment: Surprisingly, they accept only cash; that's somewhat unacceptable. Fortunately we had cash, otherwise we would have been searching for a ATM at midnight. Atleast restaurant should have online payment service. Overall 3 stars, for good food and polite staff. Need to improve in many aspects as mentioned above.

That was amazing time of food here.. a place to revisit with favourite people who love nonveg especially. We ordered below items:- 1. Mutton Bhuna (boneless) 2.Chicken Bhuna (Boneless) 3.Rumaali Rotis Mutton Bhuna was mouth watering tasty, the spices were amazingly mixed which made the gravy a heavenly taste. I must say 100/10. Chicken 🐔 bhuna- It was equally good like Mutton Bhuna but the spices here were quite different and it was nice overall. Rumali Rotis - They are simply tempting since their texture is so soft ( not chewy at all) and smooth that we get tempted to repeat orders. I wanted to repeat Mutton bhuna but my husband prefers chicken 🐔 so we had to repeat Chicken Bhuna for again. Service- 10/10 Staff -10/10 Time Open for dining - Mostly open till 1 am midnight ( not too sure) Delivery 🚚/Takeout- Yes available easily. Waiting time- my case at 11.30 pm night, it was just 2 mins since the place for dining is huge. Hygeine - Interior of Restaurant is old kinda but very clean and hygienic. MUST VISIT FOR ALL NON VEG LOVERS.❤️❤️😍

Once you are at Colaba probably you won't miss food from this place as it's quite over-hyped. Crowded and good sight as cars parked around with food served on it. Food is not that extraordinary it's okay good and a bit expensive too. Mutton Kheema ; 👍 INR 320 Chicken Baida Roti ; 👎 INR 280 Mutton Gurda Fry (mutton liver etc.. well made in Indian spices, dry gravy);👌INR 320 Mutton Seekh Kebab (3 pieces) ; 👍 INR 320 Quantity above served was quite heavy filling for 3 pax.

A must visit, best enjoyed on the weekends with lively atmosphere all around. Just 2 mins walk away from the gateway. We tried the best sellers, yet again. Chicken seekh kebab and chicken bhuna with rumali roti. The kebabs are mouth melting and full of flavour, bhuna goes very well with the soft rotis, and don't forget to sip on your Thums up alongside!

One of best kebab places in Mumbai. Each and every kebab is individual in taste and bomb of flavours. No one can escape it's spells. The place is always crowded. But once you enter in the restaurant, the order taking techniques and delivery speed is remarkable. Without note it down the serving boys remember the order and they never mix it up with other tables. Baida roti, and seekh kebabs are die for. I never had such a good veg Sikh kebab in a place of nonveg. This is not merely a place a food but a heritage, an emotion.

We were looking out for some good kebab food options, and reached bandra at automatically stopped at bademiya. We were 4, we ordered phirnis, shahi tukda, baida roti, salli boti, chicken bhuna wrap and chicken biryani. This may sound a lot but their portions are not huge and so does their price. They claim it to be 2-3 person sufficient quantity but 1 dish is barely sufficient for a second serving on even 1 person. Popular destination for locals and tourists alike who are looking to savor some delicious North Indian and Mughlai cuisine in Mumbai.

Bade Miya is all about good non veg kebab and non veg cuisine. Originally it was Street side kebab centre. Now since it gained popularity they have taken place for rent which can roughly accommodate 100 people only. If you are visiting after 8pm, then get ready to wait for your turn. If you can manage to take your vehicle in front of the restaurant then you can order food inside the car. Food is good but it used to be awesome in 90s ...but still a good place to visit.... enjoy....

Bademiya very famous restaurant in Mumbai. It is located behind Taj Hotel. Decent crowd high street locality. Best time to visit after 9 - 10 PM. Very fresh and tasty food. Specialty is for kebabs and tandoor. Just 1 star less because of quantity. Quality is perfect just need to increase more quantity. They have very large number of sitting tables no need to stand and eat.

A 13 year old boy named Mohammed Yaseen came to Bombay from Uttar Pradesh and became a butcher. Later at the age of 17, he started a small cart where he served Kebabs in an alley behind the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. It was the year 1946 - when Md. Yaseen started this venture and was dearly called ‘Miya’ by the customers and locals. With time as his beard grew in length, people began to call him as - Bademiyan ! This is how the place was born and got its name, which is known to all and everyone in Bombay. Bademiya started off with Kebabs. Now it serves various delicacies. Mostly it caters to non-vegetarians, but they do have a separate Veg counter for people like me as well. For non-vegetarians, this might be the best place to have Chicken Kebabs, Mutton Kebabs, Biryani, Bheja Fry, and various other items. For vegetarians - they have Veg Kebabs, Veg Rolls, Paneer Dishes with Rumali Roti and etc. We had Veg Kebabs, which were fine. Also ordered Paneer Bhurji with Roti, which tasted unexpectedly good. Unexpectedly since I thought Bademiya might not be the right place have vegetarian items. Quantity is a bit less for the price charged. Bademiya is a brand name that has history and legacy attached to it. Vegetarians can surely try since the stall is completely separate from the meat stalls.

Looking at the hype people talk about went to the restaurant on new year. Did not like the taste of the food at all, not sure if I ordered the right thing but was hoping it could have been more better in taste. We ordered: Nonveg biryani Veg biryani Paneer roll Being a nonvegetarian, I was very much excited but it all went in vain. Too much disappointment for me as a first time experience. However, please do suggest how the exper could have been better🥲

Three star only for your food quality cause you people don't deserve 5 stars and the reasons are. 1. You people don't have modes of payment except cash 2. Non of the customer or any person carry cash more than their requirements. 3 The way your staff people capturing video or god knows what they were upto with their mobile phone it clearly shows that you guys judging your customers as fraud as if we will run away after eating food from your restaurant. It's my advice to you people that better have a good service with hassle-free modes of payment so that you and your stuff won't judge the customer from next time if they run out of cash. It's was good but last visit from our site in your restaurant. 🙂

There are many outlets! The small outlets on the road are the best and the dish gets ready in less time

If chicken bhuna tastes the same as butter chicken, is anything more to be said? This place continues to be over-hyped. Avoid at all costs.

Bademiyan a restaurant near Taj hotel . Heard alot about this restaurant through my friends and so decided to give it a try. I tried biryani and butter chicken but I felt they compromise with the quality of the food. I didn't find anything special as my friends told me. In fact, I found a stone in my food. Taste wise the food was ok. And about service and quality I've already mentioned is pathetic. Not at all impressed.

Absolutely love the place. Being mumbaikar visiting here since childhood. Located at the core of colaba just behind the Taj hotel. Bheja fry, kababs are amazing. It's famous for a reason! Visited during covid in 2021. Waiters do had masks on but apart from that not much precautions were taken related to social distancing. Tried sweets here for the first time and I don't regret it.

Food is tasty but items are over priced or you can say having less quantity. Items in my order are butter chicken, rumali roti and chicken baida roti.

Superb place. I always enjoyed visiting. After lockdown blues it's really fantastic to visit and enjoy food at this place. On the taste aspect, it's still hold ace up it's sleeves. Unique test makes you visit Bademiya again and again. Chutney and onion dips as side dish is simply amazing. This adds special flavor to your order. Chicken bhuna roll was so soft and indulging. It had great, not so harsh not so mild taste which you would like to enjoy every time you visit. But surprisingly they added Jain menu. I don't know and even doubt sometimes genuineness of the same. I didn't dare to try it, you can do that at your own risk.:-) Service is quick and very good.

The waiting for diner is too long, but they serve on the road and within your parked cars as well. They have aquired adjacent warehouses to increase space but still falls short to fulfil demand. The kebab is pure bliss but pass on the biryani , not worth filling your tummies !

Fresh, succulent and perfectly spiced. You will have the bear the crowd and the wait but it is definitely worth it. A must visit whenever we are in town.

Very famous for mughlai food but not fully satisfied. Doesn’t justify 💯 percentage of its name.
